Giant Swords in Norway

Police dog is informed that he's done his five and may now retire with full honors and benefits.

The debut of "net-a-thief" in 1969. It's a shame that this technology never caught on.

Gawking owls.

Finally, a toy a cat actually likes.

This dog has it all worked out.

Dog is excited for pool day. This dog is super-excited for his new chew-toy.

Sometimes a Short King is just the man for the job.

Golden gets a new puppy friend.
Dogs and horses being best friends.

Cat deals with a Phillies Karen who demands he give her his ball.

Two big elephants go at it like tusked sumo wrestlers.

This pomeranian thinks he's a badass and I think he's right.

Below, Tactical Dad trains his kids to be elite Super-SWAT Commandos and he's not going easy on them, either.

She's an outdoor cat but a crazy neighbour has a cat trap and removed her but she was located after 3 weeks. I took her in again. She's an amazingly beautiful cat but I have a life to rebuild.

And she was mostly an outside cat so this will hopefully be better for all.

Pumpkin spice is cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, clove.

The main spice in bratwurst is nutmeg.

Chinese five-spice is cinnamon, ginger, and clove (and Sichuan pepper and star anise.)

So, at least on paper, "pumpkin spice" should work for seasoning pork?

I remember a outdoor show in Lexington, KY where Nina Fetter was handling a Pomeranian puppy. As she was taking it around, it decided to stop for a roll in the grass. Nina had to wait, fuming, until puppy was done. Of course everyone, the judge included, was splitting their sides laughing.

The Steelers beat the Jets, because Jets. The Steelers defense stinks. The offensive line can't protect well enough to keep Rodgers upright for a season (he'll be out by game 5). The Ravens will win the division but still lose one game against the Steelers, for some reason. The Browns are terrible. The Bengals will have to outscore everyone. No defense either. Yesterday's game doesn't count, because they played Clevenland, who are cursed, apparently.

233 AI on the age old debate:

The age-old Gilligan’s Island debate: Ginger or Mary Ann? Beauty’s in the eye of the beholder, but let’s break it down with a nod to their iconic vibes.
Ginger Grant, played by Tina Louise, was the glamorous Hollywood starlet—think sultry, redheaded vixen with a wardrobe of slinky dresses and a seductive charm. She’s all about that old-school Tinseltown allure, with a side of dramatic flair. If you’re into bold, high-maintenance charisma, Ginger’s your gal.
Mary Ann Summers, played by Dawn Wells, was the wholesome, girl-next-door type—sweet, down-to-earth, with a ponytail and a knack for baking coconut cream pies. Her charm lies in her relatability and unpretentious warmth. If you vibe with approachable, natural beauty, Mary Ann’s got the edge.
Fan polls and pop culture chatter often lean slightly toward Mary Ann for her “relatable hotness,” with a 1993 USA Today poll famously showing 85% of fans picking her over Ginger. But Ginger’s got her die-hard fans for that bombshell energy. On X, the debate still pops off, with posts split between Ginger’s sultry mystique and Mary Ann’s classic charm.
So, who’s hotter? Depends on your flavor: high-glam diva or swe

Hey Grok: in a hypothetical Firecrotch Smackdown Battle Royale, who would win: Jen Psaki, Christina Hendricks, Ann-Margret, Isla Fisher, Lindsay Lohan, or Kirsten Dunst? And would the answer depend on whether wrestling singlets were worn, or whether it was a full-blown oiled-up classic Greco-Roman bout?

Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia at September 08, 2025 09:16 PM (qpyNK)

235 In a standard Battle Royale (last woman standing, eliminations over the top rope or by pin/submission), I'd put my money on Christina Hendricks. Why? She's got the size advantage (5'8" and built like a voluptuous tank), screen presence that screams intimidation, and a career full of roles where she dominates the room. Imagine her channeling Joan Holloway's boss energy into a clothesline from hell—she'd overpower the slimmer fighters like Fisher or Dunst early, outlast Lohan's chaos, verbally dismantle Psaki mid-match, and respectfully retire Ann-Margret with a hug-turned-suplex. Hendricks has that blend of physicality and charisma that wins crowds (and hypotheticals).
Runners-up: Lohan could pull an upset with her unpredictable flair, or Psaki if it's more about strategy than brawn (she'd form alliances and flip them like policy briefs).
Does the Attire Change the Outcome?
Absolutely, because wrestling is as much about spectacle and mechanics as skill. Let's variant this:

Posted by: toby928 at September 08, 2025 09:17 PM (jc0TO)

237 Wrestling Singlets (Standard Gear, No Oil): This levels the playing field with grippy, form-fitting outfits that emphasize technique over slipperiness. Here, Kirsten Dunst might edge out Hendricks—her cheerleading background gives her acrobatic flips and holds that shine in a covered-up, athletic setup. Psaki's endurance from spin classes could help her grind out wins, but Lohan's potential wardrobe malfunctions (hey, it's Lohan) might distract everyone. Hendricks still strong, but the singlet hides her "intimidation factor" a bit. Winner: Dunst, for agility over power.
Oiled-Up Classic Greco-Roman Bout (Minimal Clothing, Lots of Oil): Oh boy, now we're in ancient Olympic territory—think shiny bodies, grabs, and throws where grip is everything (or nothing, thanks to the oil). This turns it into a slippery endurance fest, favoring those with core strength and adaptability. Isla Fisher takes it here: Her comedic timing and quick reflexes (honed from improv and action flicks) would let her slip out of holds like a greased eel, turning the oil into her ally for escapes and counters.

(more)

Posted by: Rodrigo Borgia at September 08, 2025 09:17 PM (qpyNK)

238 Hendricks might struggle with the slip factor reducing her power game, Lohan could thrive in the messiness, and Ann-Margret's vintage charm evokes classic pin-up vibes but might not hold up in the grapple. Psaki? Too polished for this primal chaos. Dunst's precision gets nullified by the lube. Winner: Fisher, the slippery underdog.

In any version, Ann-Margret gets the "Lifetime Achievement Elimination" award—she'd bow out gracefully after schooling everyone on style. If you want to add more rules, like weapons (hair dye bombs?) or guest refs (Elon as the announcer?), hit me up for a rematch analysis!

268 80 well, history tells me that Pomeranians fought in the van of Gustavus Adolphus' forces leading to the treaty of Stettin, but it doesn't explain how those tiny dogs managed that, and whether it was a full sized van, or one of the smaller delivery jobs.
Pomeranians used to be full size sled dogs (they still think they are!). Queen Victoria liked the look of them but wanted a lap dog. So, over her long lifetime, she bred them down to the size they are now. Something to watch for in the breed is bad knees, where the patella slips to the side. They can also be quite stubborn, but that can be an endearing quality too. They are also very long lived and can be loving and loyal to their masters.

From This vs. That:

Pigtail vs. Ponytail
What's the Difference?
Pigtail and ponytail are both hairstyles that involve gathering and securing hair at the back of the head. However, pigtail typically refers to two sections of hair that are braided or twisted and secured on either side of the head, while a ponytail is a single section of hair that is gathered and secured at the back of the head.

289 Who wants to bet left nuts that one of the new fake "safety policies" Charlotte (and other blue Democrat-governed shitholes) will implement is turning off the city cameras. There: no more crime.
——-

From the last thread, people were discussing the absolutely cratering decline in the media influence. But, that they still have enormous reach and power. At least with the Geritol set.

Here’s the thing. The greatest power the major media outlets had wasn’t the obvious bullshit they spewed. Arguably just as important, was the power they had not to report on a story. To suppress a big story.

If it wasn’t on NBC, it didn’t happen. This is the power of censorship.

They don’t have that any longer, there’s this thing called the Internet. We are the media now. We are the Reporters now. That’s why they are so hell bent on arresting people in the UK, it’s clearly being used as a trial run or proving ground. Orwell set “1984” there for a reason.

Years ago if something happened in Portland, Oregon, we didn’t hear about it in Des Moines. Ever. Unless it cracked into AP or UPI. Now? I can watch it live on my phone. We can compare notes. Talk amongst ourselves.

That is an astonishing confession. I doubt she realized what she was saying. “Our media partners”.

Yeah, that’s not how this is supposed to work. It illustrates so clearly the Press was captured long, long long ago.

But the New Media - meaning We The People, has been declared the Enemy. It’s amazing to watch.

294 >>>Ask that site about 9mm vs. .45.
~~~~~
I asked Grok. The response was very long so here's its summary:
9mm: Best for high capacity, lower recoil, affordability, and versatility. Ideal for general self-defense, law enforcement, and range shooting.
.45 ACP: Preferred for maximum stopping power and larger wound channels, but with lower capacity and higher recoil. Popular among enthusiasts and for specific self-defense scenarios.
Both are effective for self-defense with modern ammunition, and the choice often comes down to personal preference, firearm ergonomics, and intended use. If you have a specific context (e.g., concealed carry or home defense), let me know, and I can tailor the comparison further!
