This got talked about a good bit a few months ago, but SCOTUS long ago held that wrongful deportation is not irreparable harm. That fact precludes any injunctions against immigration enforcement.
A wrongfully deported American goes to the nearest consulate, gets a new passport, and gets shipped home. They're also due (as in, due process) a financial settlement from the government for the inconvenience.
Plus, it's happening so rarely that it feels like ICE and DHS are trying to not make it happen.

Their tools are limited by statutory design.
The most direct route for disciplinary action comes from the Chief Judge of the Circuit. Think the Chief Judges of the DC or 9th Circuits care about their lower judges' overreach?
That leaves writs of mandamus which SCOTUS could issue (and one of the final opinions of the last term told the administration to apply for them when appropriate) and censures. Censure won't do anything because any district court judge who gets it will wear it as a badge of pride and move to the front of the line for promotion in the next Dem administration. Writs of mandamus are extraordinary actions that the higher court rarely makes while the lower court stuff is actually clearing up on its own.
We still get bad examples of overreach, but they're actually thinning out and appeals courts are dealing with a lot of the nonsense themselves, like the 4th ending the case today provisional employees had brought against Trump for firing them.

The war however involves the systematic derailment of the constitutional system, especially judicial usurpation and lawlessness. Yeah yeah a ridiculously passive Congress is a key part of this - but with the Dems now 1,000% committed to 100% mindless opposition to anything remotely sensible (or politically popular), Congress ceases to exist aside from a few things (privileged matters like reconciliation bills, judicial confirmations, treaty ratification).
Not that it alone would suffice, but a repudiation of some outlandishly lawless court order (even better if it's circuit level) is probably the only way to get the ball rolling on real progress. But I'm not counting on anything other than speed-bump relief anyway, so meh.

As Al.com reported, a beloved retired Auburn University veterinary professor named Dr. Julie Gard Schnuelle was hacked to death while walking her dog in Kiesel Park. Schnuelle’s body was discovered in a wooded area in the park on Saturday afternoon.

Criminal illegals make up a very small part of the overall issue here. Of course they should get priority, esp. violent ones.

I think the decision was at the appeals level, so Trump will probably appeal up the chain again.
With Thomas' long-held opinion that Sullivan needed revisiting, he feels like a vote to take up cert on the issue (it's not directly related to Sullivan, but the tangential nature makes me think it's something Thomas would want to get his hands on).

1) Like the ruling last week out of FL, calls the district court to task for failing to balance the equities. That is, giving zero weight to the harm the government may suffer.
Note the failing by the districts, any harm to plaintiffs always outweighs any harm to the government.
Pointing out that the harm Plaintiffs will suffer is the harm of not being able to break the law.
"That is not an especially weighty legal interest."
That is going to get a whole lot of play as all the "due process" suits move forward.
2) No standing for injunction, notes specific, on-point caselaw from 1983 that the district court failed to follow. "Plaintiff's standing theory is especially deficient ..." Oof.
3) That the injunction against completely ignored another major precedent allowing a totality of factors;
4) Sorta mocks the dissent for hyperventilating about "but they have guns!" being some sort of excessive force.
5) "The Judiciary does not set immigration policy or decide enforcement priorities."

A lot of Philippine maids and other house servants aren't desperate or poor. A typical arrangement in Philippines is to provide room and board -- and maybe even college tuition -- for a maid going to college. The maid is generally from a decent family, but not rich enough to pay all her way through school. After graduation, she gets a better job. Reason I say that is leverage. Even with the new $$ and personnel, and deputized JAG lawyers as immigration judges, there's no way enough can be done the next few years to really reduce the totals. Just looking for tools/approaches that can produce 10-to-1 self-deportations/ICE-enforced deportations.

Ford, Honda for a bit... a few companies used lug nuts with a stainless cover. So the inner steel was hidden behind a thin layer of sheet metal made of stainless steel which never rusts.
But the inner steel does, and they swell. if not handled properly the cover makes it difficult to remove the lug nut.

This is what happens when the hierarchy cannot sanction misbehavior by its agents.
Classic game theory problem--how do you enforce the 'rules' when someone else decides the new rules of the game are to flip over chairs, throw the gameboard across the room, and stuff all the monopoly money in their pockets.

Too often the government makes regulations on businesses that requires them to become tacit law enforcement. However, checking a legal ID is no more difficult than validating one's SSN.
Both of those requirements can be met at the same time with the burden being next to none.

Is this a problem not foreseen in the Constitution. If the the upper court has no remedy to relieve the courts of these illiterate usurpers of the law such remedy should be established.
