67 ZeroHedge] 'Trump Zone' Would See South Lebanon Depopulated For Qatari, Saudi-Bankrolled Projects
Authored by Jason Ditz via AntiWar.com,

The more information we get about the "Trump economic zone" proposal in southern Lebanon, the worse it seems for the people who live there. The latest reports reveal the plan to totally depopulate the south of the country, to place the whole area under US military control, and to grant Israel to right to build “permanent” bases in what are currently Lebanese towns and villages.

The plan first appeared a little over a week ago, with the US presenting it as their proposal while Israel maintains they came up with the idea. The broad strokes are that it is meant to replace border villages with Lebanese government-run industrial zones.

But the plan would involve no less than 27 villages being depopulated, spanning the Israel-Lebanon border from Naqoura to Marjayoun. Among those, Israel is demanding it be granted permission to construct permanent military sites within 14 of the former villages.

"Walk Right In" is a country blues song written by musician Gus Cannon and originally recorded by Cannon's Jug Stompers in 1929 by RCA Victor.[2] In 1959, it was included on the compilation album The Country Blues. Another version of the song by the Rooftop Singers, with the writing credits allocated to group members Erik Darling and Bill Svanoe, became an international hit in 1963.

Some words need to be brought back into common parlance.

Hatozaki. It looks like water in the bottle. To be fair, it’s not repellent as I suggested above. It just is so bland as to barely qualify as whisky. The initial taste is literally water. Sigh. Sometimes I want to bang my head against a wall. You know why it helps with weight loss? Because you are cutting calories. If you took the same amount of calories and spread it throughout meals and snacks during the week, you would have the same result. Your body needs fuel to heal, unless you are into it using the muscle mass you have instead. I personally want to keep all my muscle mass, my bone density, my energy, not have my head hurt and not be snappy because my blood sugar dropped through the floor. I have low blood sugar I have to manage, as well as low blood pressure, so maybe I would get a headache and snappy a little quicker than others, but trust me, you who are starving yourselves are a lil grouchy sometimes.

Speaking of booze, I found the value proposition for Elijah Craig straight rye pretty good. Low $20s. Quite good (to me). And I'm trying to find out who makes Trader Joe's KY and TN whiskies. That is, what it actually is, in a house-branded bottle. Again great value, not bad stuff, buy it to mix but find both pretty sippable.

183 Sigh.

212 I'm not a weight-loss expert, by any means, but I've learned a few things.

The most important is only eat when you're hungry. When I get hungry, I wait two hours. If I'm still hungry, I'll eat something. But sometimes the hunger passes; I'm not on any 'starving Ethiopian' commercial.

A couple of years ago, in about 9 months, I went from 315 to 230-235. Lots of salad. With shredded carrots, walnuts, bleu cheese + dressing. Sometimes a boiled chopped egg, sometimes some canned rinsed beans, red/garbanzo/cannellini. Every day. A big bowl. It worked. And I've kept the weight off.

213 In Romania, bears are completely out of control. The population has blown up. There are only a limited number of hunting permits. Bears walk freely through villages and smaller towns, in mountain regions, in broad daylight.
Recently, a bear killed a motorcyclist who had stopped and got close to the bear, apparently wishing to get some pictures of the bear eating from his hand. This is not advised.
There is one well-known scenic route through the mountains where the bears wait by the roadside to be fed and the tourists actually stop and feed them. This is also not advised.

233 Missed the prior thread but soldiers of both sides have been shooting down drones with rifles and shotguns in Ukraine. There's a Russian unit (Rubicon) that posts frequent compilations of their counter-drone drone activity - they seem to have both kamikaze versions that collide with the target, and drones that drop little nets on to quadrocopter rotors, taking the thing down.

Based at least on one recent account by a Uke NCO that's online, the russkis in some areas have the edge, as they are able to control territory solely with drones (meaning the Uke counter-drone action isn't there or isn't working). Major focus of Russian industrial attacks recently have been drone production and development sites in Ukeistan (including the Turkish Bayraktar facility).

That is awesome, and a lot of times people mistake being thirsty as a hunger signal. It’s fine to ensure you really need to eat because you are actually hungry and not bored, too. People do have different eating preferences- some like a huge meal and zero snacks. Some graze (me), some hate feeling full, some like it. All of those things can be accomplished while eating enough calories to stay healthy and lose weight, or sustain, or gain. There is no one size fits all, beyond losing weight and sustaining long term will be a complete lifestyle overhaul and never a diet. You do need certain macros and micros and you do need a certain amount of calories to be your healthiest self. I lost 85 pounds and have kept it off, I absolutely changed my entire lifestyle. I don’t ever want to go back.

Bottom line: Self-control.

I moved to Texas a loooong time ago, after I graduated from the U of Arizona. Two of my good friends are Aggies, as were a lot of co-workers. A lot of co-workers went to TU. When I came here I was astonished at the intensity of the TAMU-TU rivalry. I've heard and laughed at every Aggie joke ever told. I'm still amazed at the rivalry and what I call the cult of Aggieness. I've been to two games at Kyle Field. Amazing experience.

256 Tomatoes are nightshade plants.

Nightshades contain compounds called glycoalkaloids, which can be harmful in large amounts, but tomatoes are safe and nutritious for most people when consumed in moderation.

Don't eat too many tomatoes.

258 I do a light breakfast/lunch (usually yogurt with granola, sometimes a couple of boiled eggses), then a more solid meal in the evening. And I almost never eat anything after 1900.

Part of the breakfast thing that has changed is I get up far earlier than I ever did before. I am in the office by 0700, and am starting to feel peckish. So, breakfast/lunch is earlier than before.

259 Piper,

When my Primary Care Doc told me I was morbidly obese, and that that was in my medical records, I was pissed. At myself. As I started to lose the weight, down to 280, 270, I told the Doc, I was trying to get to 250 so I could just be 'fat' in my medical records. THAT was my incentive.

Like anything else, you have to want to do it.

And I still snack, it's just I put snacks into a container in the kitchen and if I want some, I have to get up to get ia portion; no keeping it handy for that 'steam-shovel hand'. Little things. But they add up.

I read the other day that the Pirates pitching staff has the most shut outs in the league. Unfortunately, the rest of the team can't hit a beach ball thrown by a three year old.

She was brutal. She completely misunderstood when the hospital said low sodium. She interpreted it as NO sodium, and also no taste, no flavor, no joy, and no will to live. 2 weeks of that I said no more, then went to mcdonalds in a final act of defiance.

264 For the cafe's amusement

So many great Belgian Malinois videos.

Here's one.

Didn't realize the snapping jaw thing was a Malinois thing until I saw it on a video. Our Daisy does this when she knows we're going to play fetch. Also spins in circles and barks ear-splittingly.

269 Your body needs fuel to heal, unless you are into it using the muscle mass you have instead. I personally want to keep all my muscle mass, my bone density, my energy.
——-

Yeah, no that’s not how it works. The human body is marvelously adapted. The body will burn fat for fuel. You are not “starving yourself”, that’s what it is for. 4000 calories per pound! The human body does not burn muscle mass preferentially when there is adipose tissue stored.

The benefits of intermittent fasting are improving insulin response, immune system. The modern diet means we generally have a constant high insulin level, chronic overexposure leads to metabolic syndrome, and eventually full blown diabetes.

IF is proven to improve blood lipid parameters including high density and low density lipids or so called “good cholesterol”, allergies, and non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.

Many people report feelings of well being, more energy, clarity of thought, and a newfound freedom from worrying about breakfast lunch. One thing I noticed is people CONSTANTLY eating at work, snacking, drinking sodas and highly sweetened drinks.

One meal a day for me means I can eat large satisfying meals.
