I'm quietly admitting that a lot of physicists are full of shit. If energy isn't conserved give me my personal home free generator to run my house at no cost.
I've already duplicated enough of Tesla's lesser known work to know that is possible. I'm not talking about his well known big work, he did some smaller work with vacuum tubes that allowed him to generate electricity with them. I have figured out how to do that. I showed my work to my former boss at NASA, and he is of the opinion that it is worth testing. For whatever that is worth. "The toxicity symptoms include nausea, vomiting, headache, dizziness, irritability, blurred vision, and muscular incoordination [...] dry skin, pruritus, peeling of the palms and soles, and fissuring of the fingertips [...] telogen effluvium [...] bone pain and increased intracranial pressure." Pretty cool dog carrier that dude had on his harley. I have seen a lot of ways to carry dogs on bikes. Some use a side car, so have a dedicated seat behind the rider, but this was pretty cool. No way the dog can fall out. Well, unless the dude used some cheap chinese bolts to hold it on. Upside...Doggie gets a ride on a softail.

Wonder why moose never roam further south. There's plenty of forests, lakes, meadows, and ponds in many states for them. Maybe they're in a rut.

------- They sometimes do. A couple of times, I saw a big old monster moose near Bailey, CO. All my friends said I was full of shit, moose never go that far South, I must have been drunk, blah blah. Til a couple years later, when someone caught a photo of the thing, and it was on the front page of our local paper. I threw that paper in a lot of faces. 206 I find Chelsea Clinton's face fascinating. Go back and look at photos of her from age 11/12, and you will see the extraordinary amount of work that she has had done.
And that's the best they could do. Like I said: fascinating. Posted by: Wenda at September 02, 2025 09:04 PM (utsBX) Seeing Chelsea Clinton always reminded me of the Twilight Zone episode "Eye of the Beholder." Posted by: tankdemon at September 02, 2025 09:23 PM (JFjh0) 219

Posted by: rickb223 at September 02, 2025 09:16 PM (cr7L+) yeah thats one I see mostly. Some dogs will literally sit in the rider's lap and rest their paws on the gas tank. Thats a ballsy move. Posted by: Berserker-Dragonheads Division at September 02, 2025 09:25 PM (snZF9) 221
Look, I don't care how many treasuries you loot. There's no amount of money and no surgeon good enough to completely de-Hubbellize a human face. Too much catfish/hillbilly hybrid DNA. You're asking for a miracle.

Speaking of sea otters...
I'm reading a semi-brief history of the fur trade in America. "Fur, Fortune, and Empire: The Epic History of the Fur Trade in America" by Eric Jay Dolin. The furs most sought after began with beaver and that was the mainstay for a couple centuries. The Pilgrims made serious bank on beaver pelts Indians brought-in to trade for wampum (beads carved from shells, dyed, then put on strings), iron pans and kettles, steel knives, and rum. Lots of rum. Until beavers were trapped out of serious money-making populations in the Northeast. Then the New England colonists had to go all-in on cod fishing. It took quite a while but eventually beavers were trapped-out for making serious money, coast to coast. The next big thing was sea otter pelts. The Chinese wanted them at almost any price. Sea otters were hunted into low profitability in a relatively short time in the early-mid 19th Century. I'm nearly up to the period of the buffalo hide craze. Bagging on Chelsea Clinton is actually kinda mean. No, she wasn’t a cute little girl and she certainly didn’t age well. But can you imagine being her growing up? Her parents disliked each other, there probably wasn’t much love or patience or empathy modeled for her. Her father was a whoring scumbag that everyone loved and her mother was a carpetbagger.
I bet sometimes Chelsea wanted to just crawl under a rock and not be missed. Posted by: nurse ratched at September 02, 2025 09:31 PM (2+mmk) 227

Sturgeon formed a big part of the Jamestown settlement protein early on. They were easy to spear and large and were quickly over-fished. No one realized how slow they mature and breed. Took a long time to build up to a big population. Indians harvested them, but not in huge numbers. They're still in rivers from Savannah and all the way north, but numbers remain small.
