Our pastor encourages law enforcement in the congregation to carry their service weapons, and also has armed security at the church. We're in Portland Metro Oregon so we're inundated with Crazies. Had a few people jump up in the congregation and protest over the years and they are quickly escorted out.

School shootings, while tragic, are not exactly a crisis. There are around 120,000 schools in the US. the odds of one happening where your kid goes to school is minuscule, practically zero, much more likely he will die in a car/bus crash going to school. (Obviously daily shootings in the inner cities, which is an actual crissis ignored by the MSM.)

It is just another unfortunate situation being used to create more hysteria and demand for laws and more security to keep the kids safe from something that isn't going to happen.

Things like removing district court judges from hearing certain classes of cases. They can't fire or remove them, but SCOTUS does have the power to redirect errant judges away from useful work.
