Trump Will End Cashless Bail by Executive Order

Well, that is his hope. I expect leftwing know-nothing DEI Biden judges will block him.

The order won't ban cashless bail directly. It will require states to end the practice, or give up federal funding.

President Trump is expected to sign the executive order Monday, marking one of his most aggressive steps yet against cashless bail policies. Attorney General Pam Bondi will deliver Trump a list of jurisdictions with no-cash-bail laws, potentially including New York, Washington, DC, and other left-leaning localities that have weakened pretrial detention requirements.

The White House memo on the executive action was blunt: "Cashless bail policies allow dangerous individuals to immediately return to the streets and further endanger law-abiding, hard-working Americans because they know our laws will not be enforced." The memo further described re-arresting repeat offenders freed without bail as both "a waste of public resources and obvious threat to public safety."

New York has been at the center of the debate since it scrapped cash bail for most misdemeanors and non-violent felonies in 2019. Critics point to cases such as two convicted killers recently released without bond after being arrested for drug dealing, or a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member freed on attempted homicide charges who was later caught in a drug bust -- only to be let loose again. One prolific city pickpocket has been arrested 45 times since 2024 but continues to cycle through the system.

The White House also cited a California study that found crime spiked by 163% in Yolo County after a "zero bail" policy was implemented. Federal officials argue that local experiments with bail reform have fueled crime and endangered communities.

Meanwhile, Zohran Mamdani's Democrat Party is headed in the opposite direction. Mamdani wants to straight-up legalize prostitution, citing the legalization of drugs as a positive precedent to be emulated.

And that's not all -- Mamdani wants to end all charges for misdemeanors, too.

Democratic mayoral frontrunner Zohran Mamdani and his comrades at the Democratic Socialists of America want to wipe out the enforcement of all misdemeanor offenses, The Post has learned.

In its most recent platform, the group blasts policing and detention as "instruments of class war" designed to "guarantee the domination of the working class" -- and demands an end what it calls "the criminalization of working-class survival."

"For all of the working class to achieve collective liberation we must constrain, diminish, and abolish the carceral forces of the state -- from prisons and police themselves, to their manifestations in all forms throughout society," according to the national party's latest platform, adopted in 2021.

On the campaign trail, Mamdani has repeatedly called for police to stop focusing on what he's referred to as "non serious crimes."

"Police have a critical role to play but right now we're relying on them to deal with the failures of our social safety net, which is preventing them from doing their actual jobs," he said in a campaign video posted to X Wednesday.

Bonus: "This is how you move up in the polls!" Mamdani showed what a guy's guy bro he is by completely failing to bench press a single plate.

He's being assisted on both attempts so much that he's not doing bench presses, his spotter is doing barbell rows.

What, specifically, is this "federal funding" that will be withheld? Same for the sanctuary cities that are shielding illegals.

Is it federal funding for courts that support cashless bail? Federal funding for courts that shield illegals or the funding for the entire city/state that the feds provide? What, exactly, is being withheld and from whom?

So many grants and things for lower governments to apply for to help them fund things like their police departments.

Therefore, every retail theft would be a felony. Just a play on the membership costs of something like Sam's Club. The argument on this is that the $950 cost would violate price control measures of the city....BUT, if no actual sales take place for that amount, are you really in violation? Nope.

Portland has done that for years - phrased as deemphasizing prosecution for "non-violent" crimes.

Mamdani should never have tried to do this. It's actually not that easy to bench 135, as light as that is. I bet most American men can't do it. You need to have some training to do a proper bench - it's silly to think you can do it right off the rip.

In fact, while there is no requirement for police to protect any individual of the public, once someone is in custody they do have many requirements to protect him.

142 Scoop: Trump plans executive order to end "cashless bail" in D.C. Source: msn/Axios. While Trump called the policy "a disaster", analysts say such claims aren't supported by crime statistics, which show an exceedingly small percentage of defendants are arrested for violent crimes while awaiting trial.

(Just like Mamdani, the MSM is really trying to make non-violent crime acceptable)

Trump's gotta fill up those private prisons that funded the campaign. I don't know how much this might actually violate their own "Home Rule" authority however.

Repeating the Reconstruction era. People falsely arrested couldn't pay their bail. Corporations paid their outstanding bail thereby forcing them to work in factories, farms for free. Slave labor.

This could be a reaction to the release of Big Ball’s (19) alleged 15 year old attackers. The Tangeranus is said to be highly displeased.

Trump is in for a rude awakening however because at one time, D.C. was dubbed "Chocolate City", but over the past 20 or so years, it has become (as is snickered about - "Chocolate Chip" ) and he'll start impacting some heavy (non-POC) hitters who live there.

Growing up in Vegas in the 70s with some Mafia dads' kids, I had friends who right out of high school got great bellman gigs at various prestige hotel-casinos like Caesars Palace where they made over six figures in tips just carrying bags ... and also "ran the $1, 000-a-night hookers" for 10% finder's fees from the pimps -- who has a vested interest in and made sure that their merchandise wasn't damaged (at the risk of the John's body being disappeared in a desert grave).

There is not a woman on earth happy about selling herself. It’s demeaning, it’s dirty, it’s disgusting. Indy is usually worse. You don’t have your pimp to protect you from the John’s who beat the crap out of you. You are an object to them - not even one they own, but one they rent. I volunteered for a long time at a battered women’s shelter. It was awful. Please do not believe the Pretty Woman stories. They don’t exist. Drug use goes hand in hand because you want to escape the reality of this, and even if you do, you always get to be considered damaged goods, used up by men you wouldn’t chose to be with.

No, they don't. Because for them everything is performative, they think everything for everyone else is performative, and that all performatives are equal. Pretending to bench some pathetically light weight is a performative imitation of a masculine pursuit, and therefore a display of masculinity. The dedication, discipline, repetition, consistency and sacrifice necessary to actually develop strength are missing, but the surface imitation of a masculine endeavor, the cargo cult action of moving a weight bar a couple of times, is there and thus all should be convinced of his masculinity.

Most pickpockets work in crowded areas. You would have to identify which of the people who bumped you actually took you wallet, then chase them down in said crowded area after they have a head start, then throw punches.

Also, I would bet most pickpockets avoid stealing from alert people who look like they can fight.

Weed and being a prostitute are not exactly the same, though I am opposed to both. However, let’s use your argument- legalizing weed was supposed to put street dealers out of business, making its use regulated and safe. Tell me where that has happened and I will show you where the same thing will happen with “regulated” prostitution. I mean, I guess if we are going to be hung ho about women being put in positions of absolute degradation, we may as well help them get to rock bottom, right?

------
Legal weed is as stupid as legal prostitution. When something is a net *drag* on society, society has an obligation to make sure behavior more difficult rather than easier.

Legal weed has also brought a lot of its own problems, most of which were completely forseeable and were ignored because of the grifting associated with the legalization.

That argument can be used about any illegal conduct -- no matter how dangerous or injurious -- so long as the conduct still occurs. There's a lot of theft too. Should we legalize it? What about cocaine? Acid? Heroin?

We should never have legalized weed because all that did was expand and encourage its use. We now have entire areas of stoners stumbling around stinking like pot, and a whole lot of organized crime behind the weed stores.

It's called porn. As long as the state has your paperwork in order, you're fine. On the buyer side, you just need to create a "production company" and pay the talent from the company's funds for "dress rehearsals." The seller side has state paperwork too.

With that done, you can buy and sell sex all you want, and it's all legal. You don't even need to have cameras present.

284 Even if legalization of weed and legalization of prostitution were comparable (they are not), the legalization of weed makes it even clearer that legalization of prostitution would be a terrible idea.

Weed legalization didn't solve any of the problems they claimed it would. It only made them worse. There is still an underground, illegal, and thriving pot-dealing industry. It's cheaper and often even easier to get weed illegally than through a legal store.

So all the crime and dysfunction legal weed was supposed to end is still there. Plus, the stores themselves are often fronts for organized crime or other unsavory types.

And weed use exploded after legalization. That is not a positive for society.

With the homo mafia going nuts and fining people for driving over the rainbow flag perversion, then, yeah, start prosecuting those who desecrate the Flag.

Either we enforce such statutes evenly or we don't enforce them at all.

Hell, the Hebrews turned a hooker to a double agent, Proverbs warns young men about hookers, God made Hosea marry a hooker as allegory of Israel's relationship to God...so yeah, let's not kid ourselves.

Depends on body weight, physical fitness, and experience. I think any reasonably fit adult male should be able to do at least one 135-pound press. It's not a lot of weight. Once you get up over 250 pounds, then it gets into much more rarified air. But 135? Any adult male should be able to do at least one.

That Bombdaddy couldn't even do one without a great deal of help is inexcusable. He's almost comically weak.

370 The order won't ban cashless bail directly. It will require states to end the practice, or give up federal funding.

That's the order I'm looking for. We will never conquer any of our budget problems until we can break the mindset of running to the government to fund every little thing.

371 Such are tied to federal transportation funds which states are addicted to. If they told the Feds no thanks, we don’t need your money, they COULD set their own drinking ages and much else besides.
Posted by: Cow Demon at August 25, 2025 01:16 PM

Point. But federal money goes so many places. I'm sure it's possible to find a tie-in and watch the states have to turn it down.

>>Hell, I used to warm up with 135 when I weighed 135 (mumblemumble years ago). What's commie boy's excuse?

If a person has never benched, or does any sort of physical exercise, 135lbs is quite a bit of weight, the average novice weightlifter is going to start with an unloaded bar, and then work up 135, 185, 225 milestones. Once you get above 225, you are an intermediate lifter.

382 > from the guys I knew who partook, it seemed to me the German brothels were some of the most boring, unexciting experiences one could have with a woman.

I'm picturing a sterile room with large posters explaining the rules and giving a specific timeline of events.

Time 0: Enter the room and state your first name
Time 1: Close mouth kiss for two minutes
Time 3: Take off all of your clothes
Time 4: Get in the bed, under the covers
Time 5: Grope for two minutes
Time 7: Get into missionary position and do sex
Time 10: Stop sex whether ejaculation is achieved or not

383 366- At 20 years old and 207 lbs, I could do 315 (3 plates per side), prior to losing a lot of weight, I could walk into the gym at any time and pop a few reps of 225 (4 plates). I'm 194 now, and can do (at least) 205 as a 57 year old.

385 "...we must constrain, diminish, and abolish the carceral forces of the state..."

carceral. Another Progressive euphemism that sounds like it's a terrible evil to stamp out. Few people know the definition of carceral. All good in Mamdani's calculations. Plus it removes 'jailing criminals' from their lingo. Because abolishing the jailing of criminals is a loser at the ballot box.

You cannot despise the communist agit-prop operatives enough.

Yes, and this goes for BOTH ends of the money scale. I've seen some stories where someone is accused of some horrific crime or series of crimes and then at the end of the story its mentioned that they are out on a $20 million dollar bond.
