Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Mountain Lakes & Fakes Cafe![]() A lake in the French mountains by Jumpy_Lake_5981 A photography trick. I mean, a photography illusion. Tricks are what whores do for money. And some more photography whores. Another photography whore. (I think the cat is on a telephone wire in foreground.) Give me a squad of 10,000 of these dogs and we'll never see flooding again. I've linked a video like this before -- but not this specific one. When they say "hippos are surprisingly fast in the water," they're not lying. Farmer Fran makes her rounds. Cats don't get enough credit. Probably because they're evil agents of chaos. She would like you to admire her beaver. Kangaroo fatigue is real. This parrot is only a few IQ points slower than Dana Bash. Manta ray shows off. "They're demonstrating classic swarming behavior." "Yeah, they're swarming this way." Big Tish James on an Indian holiday. A beluga, which I'm now calling the Golden Retriever of the Sea, clowns around with some kids. I guess dinner was a hit. Oh what a cute little kitty-cat. Brave baby elephant isn't afraid to step up to a chicken. Golden retrievers being silly. Koala and cub. Some impressive agricultural technology. This kid is the King of Cornhole. What a journey.

Hear ye, hear ye, flavor faithful!
Let it be known across kitchens and cookfires, taco trucks and temple bowls, that cilantro is no mere herb. It is the verdant anointing, the leaf of the gods, the crowned emissary of freshness. Where there is blandness, it brings boldness. Where there is heaviness, it cuts with grace. Where there is soup, salsa, curry, or pho—it stands ready, holy and whole. You say it tastes like soap? Nay, sinner—that is the flavor of your own genetic chains, not cilantro's crime. Blame not the leaf for the bitterness you bear. Posted by: Thomas Bender at August 21, 2025 09:51 PM (XV/Pl) 255
