I had gotten the old one out three days ago by drilling out the rubber, cutting a longitudinal slit on the outer shell and collapsing it in on itself.

The pressing in required filing and shaping several which flat washers to be able to fit into the restricted opening behind the bushing in the sub-frame, and drawing it into place with a grade 8 nut and bolt.
Most of the time was spent on shaping the metal washers to an exact fit.

I saw that on the local CBS outlet's website last night! Indicted by a Federal grand jury, no less! That woman has been the bane of this city since before the Sniffle Scare, when she was as draconian as they come. Heh, heh, heh. . . .

A former local newsanchor, an attractive blonde named Helena Moreno who went into politics about twenty years ago, is now running for mayor. Despite her being a Dem, I hope she manages to get elected. It'll be nice to look at a news item about the mayor and see a pretty face for a change.

While in New Orleans, they treated a city-owned apartment in the Pontalba as their personal, shared residence and coordinated to spend time together there, engaging in personal activities, while VAPPIE claimed to be on duty for EPU and was paid to be doing his job.

CANTRELL occasionally canceled scheduled work events to facilitate personal and intimate interactions with VAPPIE in the Pontalba apartment.

“It’s the fastest intensification of a hurricane to Category 5 in history, blah blah blah, warming waters, Climate Change.”

It was a little storm that hit very warm waters in the Caribbean with perfect conditions in the upper atmosphere for it to grow quickly.
It’s nothing new.
Nothing to do with Climate Change at all.

That the thing looks like it will miss all land, expect *maybe* a small piece of Newfoundland, is barely mentioned at the end of the article.

I’m sure the sun and sunspots have a lot more to do with climate than CO2.

As for hurricanes, and overall climate patterns, I think the Pacific Oscillation (El Nino/La Nina) cycles are much more impactful than they want to admit.

When there is an El Niño it’s hot and dry here in the South. La Niña gives us cooler and wetter weather.

Usually El Niños are more active hurricane seasons, opposite for La Niñas.

I don't think we've had visible auroras from ETex but this past winter had several stretches of below freezing overnights which meant a lot of ice breaking / water hauling for thirsty critters. We've gotten more rain than usual but the summer has been surprisingly mild in spite of the "dangerous heat!!!" hysteria from NWS.
