Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | James Clapper Wrote to the Other "Intelligence" Heads Demanding They Set Aside Their Evidentiary Standards to Push the ObamaGate Russia Hoax Before Trump Assumed OfficeTulsi Gabbard released this letter. Former Director of National Intelligence James "Jim" Clapper's letter demands everyone get on the same page in claiming that the Russia Hoax is real in order to give the hoax the veneer of official authority. It is written to John Brennan, Jim Comey, and Mike Rogers, then head of the NSA. The reason for the letter? Mike Rogers wrote that he was uncomfortable rushing to conclusions on such feeble evidence -- and on such a rushed schedule. Because, you see, they cooked this coup up after the December 16, 2016 meeting with Obama, in which Obama ordered them to fast-track the ObamaGate hoax before he was out of office.Fox News wrote the story up: So Rogers wasn't willing to rush headlong into accusing the president elect of being a Russian agent. James Clapper couldn't have that. The artificial deadline was fast approaching. Either this coup would get kicked off with Obama still in office and protecting them, or the coup wouldn't get kicked off at all. ![]() Mike John Jim: I understand your concern. This is in reply to Mike Rogers expressing his concerns that they have abandoned most of the procedures necessary to assemble an Intelligence Community Assessment, in their mad rush to get this published before Obama left office. Clapper really wanted to fake a paper trail for that special prosecutor he admits he was trying to will into existence, and he's bothered that Mike Rogers is insisting on professional standards of evidence and analysis. It is essential that we (CIA/NSA/FBI/ODNI) be on the same page, and are all supportive of the report -- in the highest tradition of "that's OUR story, and we're stickin' to it."Yes, he really says that. He talks like a criminal plotting a conspiracy -- which he is in fact doing. This makes it clear that all along, there was no evidence supporting the "IC consensus." There was only the "IC Consensus," and it was assembled precisely because there was no evidence to support it. This evening, the CIA has provided the NIC (?) the complete draft generated by the ad hoc fusion cell.I think a "fusion cell" is a group of intelligence hacks assembled to take down an enemy. The "ad hoc" means, I'm pretty sure, that this was done outside of all procedural rules to get it done ASAP. Remember, this letter was written on December 22, 2016 -- they only had a couple of weeks with Obama in office to set up the frame. That explains the breathless, panicky urgency. Note, below, Clapper says he will attempt "as much mutual transparency as possible." He says this because Rogers objected that he hadn't made his evidence known to the NSA, so they couldn't evaluate it. Clapper is saying: You're being told all that I'm willing to tell you and no you can't have my sources because, Surprise, it's Hillary Fucking Clinton's opposition researcher. We will facilitate as much mutual transparency as possible as we complete the report...Note the report isn't even finished yet but Clapper is demanding that everyone sign off on it before its completion. Clapper also stresses that this absolutely must be signed off on before You Know Who becomes president. Emphasis added: ...but more time is non-negotiable.Because this isn't an intelligence assessment, it's a coup against the elected president of the United States who will take office in 18 days. And this is the most criminal line: Clapper says we have to "compromise on our 'normal' modalities" -- that is, we have to discard all of our existing methods and standards and safeguards for intelligence collection and assessment -- because we have only 18 days left to set the coup in motion, and, let's face it, we have no evidence that will stand up to any scrutiny at all. By the way, "modalities" is just corpo-government speak for "ways" or "methods." We may have to compromise on our "normal" modalities, since we must do this on such a compressed schedule.Incredible. Here's where Clapper brow-beats Mike Rogers, telling him there is no "I" in "Intelligence." This is one project that must be a team sport. JimClapper's neck is in need of the stretch of a rope. This is treason. This is a coup. Below, the emails together. You can see Rogers protesting that "my people" say there's not enough here to even evaluate, and they're uncomfortable "compromising our our 'normal' modalities" of preparing an "ad hoc fusion cell report," as James Clapper would say. ![]() ![]() Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

As a lifelong Intelligence professional, I have made my views knows on Clapper and his treasonous cabal of asshats. I won't bore the horde with a repeat.
It does remind me of a conversation I had with a colonel many years ago. He told me that he expected his S-2 to "get it right" when it came to fighting the enemy. (In this case the Rooskies and E. Germans in the Cold War days.) He expected his 2 to tell him where the enemy was and what they were going to do. And, if he failed, he would be fired and sent to the front line. I said "Fair enough!" (Although I was not his S-2.) But I then asked if his Intel guy got it right and he the commander failed to act on the information, would he then head for the front line? That earned me a long stare. The Clapper stuff makes me ask, the IC was generating good intel...none of which backed the Russia Russia BS. So he, Clapper, got it wrong. Deliberately. He failed. Go to jail Clapper. Or better still, take the "honorable way out." Posted by: Diogenes at August 14, 2025 12:27 PM (2WIwB) 89
I have to say that the 'drip drip drip' way Tulsi releases this stuff is quite effective. Not only does it keep the story in people's minds, but it gives idiots like Brennan time to lie more in legacy media interviews, before another document discredits them and their stenographers even more.

Also recall, on November 17th, 2016, NSA then Director Mike Rogers traveled to New York and met with President-Elect Donald Trump, possibly to warn Trump about the spying/coup op.
On November 18th, Washington Post reported on a recommendation in “October” that Mike Rogers be removed from his NSA position. This was only a month after the famous second FISA request was approved by Rogers based on the shoddy Trump Tower links to a Russian Bank, where the prior June FISA request was denied. They were ready to toss out nearly 250 years of peaceful transfer of power and risk all out civil war, because they were greedy and were too stupid and arrogant to know when to stop. Coke is a stimulant, but unlike booze it has a calming/euphoric effect and makes you feel "better." That's why it's a popular club drug. The club kids aren't using drugs that make them angry and hateful.
Booze affects different people differently, but as a general rule, I'd say it removes inhibitions. If you're a calm, happy person, it makes you love everyone and leaves you in a nice state. If you're emotional, it makes you weepy. If you're an angrier person, but one who typically keeps the anger under control, booze removes the controls, so you become very combative. I'll take that. Posted by: TheJamesMadison, searching for thrills with John Frankenheimer at August 14, 2025 12:16 PM (GBKbO) In a previous job I fell under the intelligence umbrella even though we didn't do any actual intelligence work, so we got the biannual intelligence oversight training. In it we learned of the penalties for leaking or improperly handling classified information and about the misuse of military intelligence assets against US citizens back in the late 60s/early 70s and was the prime reason for the oversight training in the first place. What should happen once this entire saga is over is that a new congressional commission goes through the evidence and the oversight training gets expanded. Interesting tidbit of information on classifying information: you are not allowed to classify information just because it may be embarrassing, ie classifying a scathing after action report for an exercise that went awry so no one gets to see it.
Posted by: Archimedes at August 14, 2025 12:38 PM (Riz8t) _______ Yes, I agree. That's kinda my point. Booze -- for whatever reason -- makes a lot of people angry and prone to violence. I don't know anyone can possibly deny this. There are countless studies on it, and it squares perfectly with anyone's experience who's ever been around booze. I don't like to get drunk, but when I do, I'm a happy drunk. But I know more than a few drunks who aren't that way at all. They're argumentative, combative, and have shorter fuses. Posted by: Ordinary American --------- Given the current state of the judiciary, I think it's unlikely any of the coup plotters are going to face the kind of justice demanded from what they did. Only by methodically stating what they did, with evidence, will the public be swayed into believing it. Even then, there will be hardcore leftists who will refuse to acknowledge what went down. Enough evidence, irrefutable evidence might bring a few of them into a courtroom. But will justice be served? Or does our current administration go another route with these people? I think "boomers" are as politically and culturally diverse as any other generation. But boomers are a yuge generation, and even a small percentage of them is a lot of people.
The problem boomers -- the ones that give the others a bad name -- I think tend to be the older ones, the ones who know they are on borrowed time, and have very fond rose-colored memories of their younger trippy-hippy days. They latch onto The Current Thing as a means to try to relive those days. Today, the Current Thing is to hate Trump with incandescent rage. Look at all the geezer protests. These are old boomers and many look like older throw-back hippy stoners. Posted by: Elric The Blade at August 14, 2025 12:57 PM (iFTx/) 318

Obama took the goodwill of a majority of Americans and turned it into a coup against them. Just let that sink in.
There were a lot of people who got sucked in on Obama’s racial aspects and failed to look at what his real beliefs were. Remember how we were told that any concerns were based on racial animus or prejudice- even when they were factual and material? Good times. Good times. Even after he was elected a lot of people were still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt- twice. Yet this is what Obama did with all that trust. He turned Americans against each other by largely using race as the dividing vehicle and used the government agencies to essentially plot a coup from the inside. Just imagine of a Trump hadn’t won. We quite possibly could have lost the republic. And yet Democrats persist… Posted by: Marcus T at August 14, 2025 12:57 PM (hMp8v) 320

The chickens have not only returned but are busting the door down. Escalating power crisis along with hyperinflation power bills are taking down all those lying assholes who lied about the "promise" of Green Energy. They can't hide. People remember these grandstanding idiots and the virtuous shit they pumped out and now they are getting reminded every month on how stupid they were to be conned and are going to take it out on the Dems big time. That saying about things continuing until they can't anymore...well that time has arrived and there is very little the pols can do to fix it in time to avoid major damage to their already bleeding out brand. I just kind of fall back to: It seems like the Democrat Party is coalescing around him and partisanship will get him over the line. ------------------------ The part I will agree with you here is turnout. We're seeing a trend in a lot of cities (Minneapolis and Seattle spring immediately to mind) of the progressive hivemind coalescing around the most insane candidate. So far their success is due to extremely low turnout primaries that benefit AWFLs and their cucks above any other group. Does the "souls to the polls" turnout operation work to get blacks to vote for someone who wants Gazans to replace blacks as the "most favored oppressed class"? I'm dubious. For everyone talking about Mamdami winning in NYC, this is solely dependent on both Cuomo and Adams staying in the race and dividing the black vote. So far all indications are that black voters like Mamdami about as well as they like Bootyjuice. But if one of the two quasi-Dems drops out and endorses the other, that probably finishes off Mamdami. Sliwa is a non-factor.
If either Cuomo or Adams had an ounce of integrity, they'd make an agreement with the other that whomever loses a game of Rock, Scissors, Paper drops out for the good of the city. Chances of that happening: 0.0% Posted by: Archimedes at August 14, 2025 12:58 PM (Riz8t) 330

-- *raises hand* Boomer here and I welcome attacks on these institutions. They've earned it. Posted by: Lady in Black ====== It is not useful to view any group oriented proposition as universally true as very few things in humanity is. More to the point, when referring to Boomers and Silents, as always, as people age--they become more solid (again, always exceptions) in their political beliefs because to revisit them now would mean a lifetime lived in error. So they naturally double down when challenged. Those who stayed on the right kept on perhaps even going more to the right, those on the left after they were fully politically socialized went left, sometimes much further left. When discussing Boomers, they double down on whatever side they came down upon during the 60's and 70's. Silents, it was the 40's and 50's. So voila, old Boomers out protesting like it is Selma in the 60's again. Just like old times. Posted by: TeeJ Howya doin. The Deep State term first came about in the 70-80's to describe the military's role in Turkish government. Essentially, the military stepped in when the civil politicians inevitably stepped in it as the guarantors of the Turkish secular republic. Erdogan replaced that with his own rurally based Islamic Deep State by neutering the military, courts, etc. set up by Attaturk. In old days, it was always about the courtiers around the king that were the Deep State in those eras. The king was the titular government in one but to carry out anything--had to rely on his ministers and courtiers who often ended up overshadowing the king. Richelieu comes to mind among others. In terms of Obama himself, I doubt any court will say anything other than "presidential immunity." I think there are arguments against the use of it, but charging a former president with treason/sedition is...a lot.
Too much, probably. Posted by: TheJamesMadison ========= Like Watergate, most, if any, charges will be procedural crimes, not what they actually did. The problem for Obama is that he can be compelled to testify and provide evidence before a grand jury (or Congress) as a private citizen AND lying/obstructing then could have legal jeopardy without the presidential immunity to shield him. People nowadays do not realize that Richard Nixon had to appear before the Watergate Grand jury post presidency and testify. Fascinating insight into politics during Nixon's terms in office.
And yet Democrats persist… Posted by: Marcus T at August 14, 2025 12:57 PM (hMp8v) This is so weird. I definitely voted against Obama (even though I thought McCain was a jerk) because I knew he was going to implement bad policies. But after he won, I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking he might accidentally not be so bad. After four years of his America-hate and destructive policies, I was surprised at voters who were willing to give him another term. I thought he had proven himself to be a bad choice. For those wondering why Gabbard is able and willing to produce information such as this while nothing seemed to materialize under Radcliffe, you have to consider the circumstances.
In Trump's first term there was no incentive. No motions to make it look like there would be heads spiked at the castle gates. Not so with this second term. The indictments have been scant, but the rhetoric suggesting they're coming is something we didn't see in the first term. Gabbard stated on record that "the whistleblowers are coming out of the woodwork." The approach Trump is using this second term is scaring people. Hell, he's got them so worried no one in the Democrat party is even willing to attempt to lead the party because of the risk of what might pop up from their past. 329 For everyone talking about Mamdami winning in NYC, this is solely dependent on both Cuomo and Adams staying in the race and dividing the black vote.
Chances of that happening: 0.0% Posted by: Archimedes at August 14, 2025 12:58 PM (Riz8t) TBH, if I were still a NYC resident there's no way I would vote for Cuomo. Posted by: Chairborne!...Desk From Above! at August 14, 2025 01:26 PM (ZbeXO) Representative republics are the most successful form of government, and therein lies the problem - they usually eventually fall victim to their own success. Democracies only work for very small political units like city states. They will fold quickly at scale. Republics are the answer to that problem, but they are still limited at scale. They are not suitable for governing an enormous, diverse country, or a global empire. But when they are successful, they are very, very successful, and they eventually outgrow the limitations of a representative form of government, and you get... this. It won't be much longer before this thing is rolled up for good, by one means or another. Posted by: Yudhishthira's Dice at August 14, 2025 01:33 PM (/QsPh) 520

I read this slightly differently.
They thought Trump was a Russian agent, because someone told them that. And they told someone else, and so on. It was one vast echo chamber. So they go into this thing, knowing without evidence, that it MUST be true. Hence the purpose here was to prove what they already thought they knew. Why waste time vetting evidence, if it already supports what you know is true? besides which, to get the REAL evidence they would need warrants and such, and they could get them unless this report came out. It was circular firing squads all the way down. It's why these pricks feel so self-righteous in their actions. They also won't admit they fucked up royally, because they don't think they can be fooled. Thye literally think there is no way they could get this wrong, and somehow, in some way, they were actually right. Posted by: El Mariachi - Attorney at Law at August 14, 2025 02:30 PM (D1vbu) 532
