James Clapper Wrote to the Other "Intelligence" Heads Demanding They Set Aside Their Evidentiary Standards to Push the ObamaGate Russia Hoax Before Trump Assumed Office

Tulsi Gabbard released this letter.

Former Director of National Intelligence James "Jim" Clapper's letter demands everyone get on the same page in claiming that the Russia Hoax is real in order to give the hoax the veneer of official authority.

It is written to John Brennan, Jim Comey, and Mike Rogers, then head of the NSA.

The reason for the letter? Mike Rogers wrote that he was uncomfortable rushing to conclusions on such feeble evidence -- and on such a rushed schedule.

Because, you see, they cooked this coup up after the December 16, 2016 meeting with Obama, in which Obama ordered them to fast-track the ObamaGate hoax before he was out of office.

Fox News wrote the story up:

Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper allegedly directed officials to "compromise" "normal" procedures to rush a politicized 2017 Intelligence Community Assessment -- despite concerns from then-Director of the National Security Agency Mike Rogers, who allegedly said his team did not have "enough time" to review the intelligence to be "absolutely confident" that Russia was involved in the 2016 election.
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard declassified emails Wednesday. Fox News Digital obtained the declassified records.

"I've just returned from a TDY overseas and been updated on the current status of our efforts to produce a joint product related to Russian attribution and intent for the DNC/DCCC hacks," Rogers allegedly wrote in the email. "I know that this activity is on a fast-track and that folks have been working very hard to put together a product that can be provided to the president."
"However, I wanted to reach out to you directly to let you know of some concerns I have with what I am hearing from my folks," the email continued. "Specifically, I asked my team if they'd had sufficient access to the underlying intelligence and sufficient time to review that intelligence."

"On both points my team raised concerns," Rogers reportedly wrote. "They were clear that, at the staff level, folks have been forward-leaning and trying to ensure that we have an opportunity to review and weigh in, but I'm concerned that, given the expedited nature of this activity, my folks aren't fully comfortable saying that they have had enough time to review all of the intelligence to be absolutely confident in their assessments."

So Rogers wasn't willing to rush headlong into accusing the president elect of being a Russian agent.

James Clapper couldn't have that. The artificial deadline was fast approaching. Either this coup would get kicked off with Obama still in office and protecting them, or the coup wouldn't get kicked off at all.

It reads:

Mike John Jim:
I understand your concern.

This is in reply to Mike Rogers expressing his concerns that they have abandoned most of the procedures necessary to assemble an Intelligence Community Assessment, in their mad rush to get this published before Obama left office. Clapper really wanted to fake a paper trail for that special prosecutor he admits he was trying to will into existence, and he's bothered that Mike Rogers is insisting on professional standards of evidence and analysis.

It is essential that we (CIA/NSA/FBI/ODNI) be on the same page, and are all supportive of the report -- in the highest tradition of "that's OUR story, and we're stickin' to it."

Yes, he really says that. He talks like a criminal plotting a conspiracy -- which he is in fact doing.

This makes it clear that all along, there was no evidence supporting the "IC consensus."

There was only the "IC Consensus," and it was assembled precisely because there was no evidence to support it.

This evening, the CIA has provided the NIC (?) the complete draft generated by the ad hoc fusion cell.

I think a "fusion cell" is a group of intelligence hacks assembled to take down an enemy. The "ad hoc" means, I'm pretty sure, that this was done outside of all procedural rules to get it done ASAP.

Remember, this letter was written on December 22, 2016 -- they only had a couple of weeks with Obama in office to set up the frame. That explains the breathless, panicky urgency.

Note, below, Clapper says he will attempt "as much mutual transparency as possible." He says this because Rogers objected that he hadn't made his evidence known to the NSA, so they couldn't evaluate it.

Clapper is saying: You're being told all that I'm willing to tell you and no you can't have my sources because, Surprise, it's Hillary Fucking Clinton's opposition researcher.

We will facilitate as much mutual transparency as possible as we complete the report...

Note the report isn't even finished yet but Clapper is demanding that everyone sign off on it before its completion.

Clapper also stresses that this absolutely must be signed off on before You Know Who becomes president. Emphasis added:

...but more time is non-negotiable.

Because this isn't an intelligence assessment, it's a coup against the elected president of the United States who will take office in 18 days.

And this is the most criminal line: Clapper says we have to "compromise on our 'normal' modalities" -- that is, we have to discard all of our existing methods and standards and safeguards for intelligence collection and assessment -- because we have only 18 days left to set the coup in motion, and, let's face it, we have no evidence that will stand up to any scrutiny at all.

By the way, "modalities" is just corpo-government speak for "ways" or "methods."

We may have to compromise on our "normal" modalities, since we must do this on such a compressed schedule.

Incredible.

I think all serious presidential contenders (on both sides of the aisle) will be white men for the foreseeable future. I'm not saying there aren't minorities and women who could do the job. There are.

In a previous job I fell under the intelligence umbrella even though we didn't do any actual intelligence work, so we got the biannual intelligence oversight training. In it we learned of the penalties for leaking or improperly handling classified information and about the misuse of military intelligence assets against US citizens back in the late 60s/early 70s and was the prime reason for the oversight training in the first place. What should happen once this entire saga is over is that a new congressional commission goes through the evidence and the oversight training gets expanded.

Interesting tidbit of information on classifying information: you are not allowed to classify information just because it may be embarrassing, ie classifying a scathing after action report for an exercise that went awry so no one gets to see it.

Yes, I agree. That's kinda my point. Booze -- for whatever reason -- makes a lot of people angry and prone to violence. I don't know anyone can possibly deny this. There are countless studies on it, and it squares perfectly with anyone's experience who's ever been around booze.

I suspect it's part of a multi-pronged effort with the goal of putting as many powerful people in jail as possible.

This is the PR part of it, the only part we can see. It tells supporters that something is happening (a hard pill to take after #TwoWeeks four years ago) and opponents that there's documentary evidence of wrongdoing.

The rest is simply out of sight. Grand jury deliberations are secret. DOJ investigations are secret. All of it is secret until the grand jury recommends indictments and the DOJ pursues them.

Will it happen? I got no crystal ball, but I do think things are happening.

Howya doin. The Deep State term first came about in the 70-80's to describe the military's role in Turkish government. Essentially, the military stepped in when the civil politicians inevitably stepped in it as the guarantors of the Turkish secular republic. Erdogan replaced that with his own rurally based Islamic Deep State by neutering the military, courts, etc. set up by Attaturk.

In old days, it was always about the courtiers around the king that were the Deep State in those eras. The king was the titular government in one but to carry out anything--had to rely on his ministers and courtiers who often ended up overshadowing the king. Richelieu comes to mind among others.

Like Watergate, most, if any, charges will be procedural crimes, not what they actually did.

The problem for Obama is that he can be compelled to testify and provide evidence before a grand jury (or Congress) as a private citizen AND lying/obstructing then could have legal jeopardy without the presidential immunity to shield him.

People nowadays do not realize that Richard Nixon had to appear before the Watergate Grand jury post presidency and testify. Fascinating insight into politics during Nixon's terms in office.

It seems that at least the film geeks understand the Streisand Effect. The refusal to show the film gave it 10x more exposure than it would have gotten.

And from what I can tell, it's not really an "October 7 documentary." It tells the story of a guy who saved his grandkids at the festival. You can't tell that story without the background of the 10-7 atrocities. But my guess is the film isn't nearly as hostile to the goatfuckers as it should be.

Social security can be mostly fixed by simply extending the retirement age. But its finances are more predictable. It is Medicare and Medicaid that are driving the massive spending increases without the necessary payroll taxes to pay for it.

Representative republics are the most successful form of government, and therein lies the problem - they usually eventually fall victim to their own success.

Democracies only work for very small political units like city states. They will fold quickly at scale. Republics are the answer to that problem, but they are still limited at scale. They are not suitable for governing an enormous, diverse country, or a global empire.

But when they are successful, they are very, very successful, and they eventually outgrow the limitations of a representative form of government, and you get... this.

It won't be much longer before this thing is rolled up for good, by one means or another.

They thought Trump was a Russian agent, because someone told them that. And they told someone else, and so on. It was one vast echo chamber. So they go into this thing, knowing without evidence, that it MUST be true. Hence the purpose here was to prove what they already thought they knew. Why waste time vetting evidence, if it already supports what you know is true? besides which, to get the REAL evidence they would need warrants and such, and they could get them unless this report came out.

It was circular firing squads all the way down. It's why these pricks feel so self-righteous in their actions. They also won't admit they fucked up royally, because they don't think they can be fooled. Thye literally think there is no way they could get this wrong, and somehow, in some way, they were actually right.
