The Justice Department has struck a deal compelling West Point and Air Force Academy to stop racial discrimination against whites.

Weird, you'd think that institutions charged with training the officers who will defend the Constitution from all foes foreign and domestic would'd've already been defending the Constitution, but no, it took a lawsuit.

The US Department of Justice has announced a settlement with Students for Fair Admissions Inc. (SFFA), ending race-based admissions practices at the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Air Force Academy. The agreement resolves two lawsuits brought by SFFA, which alleged the policies violated the Fifth Amendment, and results in the dismissal of both cases.

Attorney General Pamela Bondi praised the resolution as part of a broader effort to remove diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices from federal institutions. "This Department is committed to eliminating DEI practices throughout the federal government," Bondi said. "We are proud to partner with the Department of Defense to permanently end race-based admissions at West Point and the Air Force Academy - admission to these prestigious military institutions should be based exclusively on merit."

...

The settlement avoids the need for prolonged litigation and establishes agreed-upon terms to ensure that admission to these service academies will be determined solely by merit, not race or ethnicity. It follows a similar agreement reached earlier this year in the US Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit regarding the US Naval Academy's former race-conscious admissions policies.

AOL Dial-Up will shut down in September. I would say it's the "end of an era" but of course no one even knew AOL Dial-Up was still available. So the era ended around, what, 2010?

Surprise! The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is "winding down," now that they're out of the taxpayer's pocket, but they still have money (for some reason) and will use that money to... propagandize for the government to fund "public" TV and radio again.

That's not the surprise. The surprise is that they've been doing this all along.

APTS [the Association of "Public" Television Stations] received $25,000 from CPB in 2022, and it charges public television stations a membership service fee. For an added fee, members can buy access to a grant-seeking database.

In 2023 APTS earned $3.8 million in "program service revenue," which includes fees from public TV stations, and spent most of it on employee compensation ($3.3 million).

The path of money -- from taxpayers to the federal government to CPB to public television stations to APTS, (or direct from CPB to APTS) -- shows that ultimately taxpayers fund APTS, which appears to be primarily a fat salary and lobbying machine.

That would be like a parent (Congress) giving his kid (CPB) an allowance and the kid pocketing some of the money (salaries), giving the rest to some other kids (public television stations) who each pocket some of the money (salaries and operations) and pass along the rest to another kid (APTS) who pockets most of the money (salaries) and comes back to the parent (Congress) to ask for more money.

Once again, the left is compelling taxpayers to hand over their money to the left so the left can use taxpayer funds for political operations against the taxpayer.

In Washington DC, peaceful protesters are organically assembling in support of uncontrolled crime and being hunted on the streets by packs of feral "youths," who know they are immune to prosecution.

Just kiddin', the Rent-A-Mob company that provides bodies for these fake protests has increased their job listings for paid agitation by 400%.

A prominent crowd rental company is reporting a dramatic spike in inquiries for protesters in Washington, DC, following President Donald Trump's announcement that he will federalize the capital's police force.

Adam Swart, CEO of Crowds on Demand, told Fox News that requests for services in DC from May to July 2024 jumped roughly 400 percent compared to the same period last year. The company, which supplies participants for political rallies, protests, and advocacy events, says such surges typically occur during "high-stakes political moments."

Why do we allow this? This is not "political speech," it's paid commercial advertising. And commercials can be regulated -- I'm thinking, they should be forced to disclose their presence at every "protest."

An antifa terrorist let free with the lightest slap on the wrist has gone on to live a peaceful and productive life.

Just joshin' wit ya, he fired a .45 caliber pistol round into the chest of a wheelchair-bound veteran.

Gregory William Timm, now 32, first gained notoriety in 2020 when he plowed his vehicle into a Republican voter registration tent in Jacksonville, Florida. No one was injured, but the attack rattled volunteers and drew a sharp rebuke from then-President Donald Trump, who warned on social media: "Be careful tough guys who you play with!"

Timm was convicted of criminal mischief in that case, later telling the court he felt it was his "duty" to take action against the Trump administration.

Now, prosecutors in King County, Washington, say Timm is behind a July 31 shooting that left Harold James Powell, an elderly man in a wheelchair wearing a military patch, hospitalized with a gunshot wound to the chest.

According to charging documents obtained by The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Timm confronted Powell outside a Starbucks on Alaskan Way, accusing him of "stolen valor" and demanding proof of his veteran status. Witnesses told police that Powell, seated in a wheelchair and wearing a military patch, had been asking passersby for money. Timm allegedly ripped a military patch from Powell's belongings, prompting Powell to produce a knife and later a holstered airsoft gun that the court filing says Powell never removed from its holster.

Prosecutors allege that Timm then drew a .45 caliber handgun, took several steps back, and shot Powell in the chest at point-blank range. "This was a completely unnecessary act of violence committed by the defendant to a vulnerable victim who was confined to his wheelchair," Senior Deputy Prosecutor Elaine S. Lee wrote in the bail request.

Texas AG Ken Paxton is serious about throwing Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke in jail for bribery.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has asked a state court clear the way for law enforcement officials to arrest Democrat Robert Francis "Beto" O'Rourke for allegedly violating a court order barring him from fundraising for the statehouse Democrats who fled Texas to delay the redistricting process for U.S. congressional seats in the state.

Paxton has filed a motion for contempt in court against O'Rourke, alleging that he violated a Tarrant County, Texas, judge's order and therefore is subject to a fine of up to $500 and jail time of up to six months behind bars.

"Beto told me 'to come and take,' so I did and beat him in court. Now, he still thinks he's above the law, so I'm working to put him behind bars," Paxton said in a Tuesday morning statement provided to Breitbart News exclusively ahead of its public release. "Robert Francis flagrantly and knowingly violated the court order I secured that prevents him from raising funds and distributing any more Beto Bribes. He's about to find out that running your mouth and ignoring the rule of law has consequences in Texas. It's time to lock him up."

"Beto" recently declared that he intended to break the law in his unending, futile quest for personal political power -- they'll be using this video at his trial to prove intent.

Jake Tapper, who is a highly-intelligent truth-telling journalist (CITE?), asks Governor Gregg Abbott why he didn't order a mentally-unfit federal congresswoman out of office but is demanding Democrat state legislators to do their job.

Abbott reminds this genius (CITE?) that a governor has law enforcement power as regards state legislators, but not federal officials.

Mangy Foreign Rat John Oliver, who got his US citizenship, somehow, under Trump in 2019, claims he is exhausted by the fear that there will be a midnight knock on the door and he'll be deported with the other foreign criminals.

"With all these stories [about Trump's legal deportations] going on, it brings something out of you," Oliver told Monica Lewinsky on her podcast. "Like it's there, that anxiety that I thought I'd moved past that day that I got my citizenship."

So Oliver is not only in the country legally, he's been a U.S. citizen since 2019. Oh, look, he chose to become a citizen during President Trump's first term in office.

Lewinsky said she empathizes with the "immigrants that are dealing with the crisis right now." She then referred to ICE as "fuckers," and adds how she can relate to, "feeling hunted, of feeling unsafe." Referring to her own experience with the media during the Bill Clinton scandal, she explained that "there's a feeling of unsafety no matter where you are."

Oliver then claimed that Trump doing his constitutional duty to enforce the law means he "can get sent back to the anxiety that I felt for a very long time very quick. It is not far from the surface, and it does feel personal," he said. "It's one of the things I get really mad about."

I'm throwing a mental Neon Green Dildo at this couple of Winners.

Trump will host the Kennedy Center Honors, which will hand out trophies or whatever to celebrities. Trump said he helped pick this year's honories -- and that he vetoed awards for "a couple of wokesters."

Trump was asked how involved he was in selecting this year's honorees, to which he said he was "about 98 percent involved." He added, "I turned down plenty. I had a couple of wokesters."

Among those honorees at the 2025 Kennedy Center Honors is George Strait, Michael Crawford, Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, and Kiss. "The 48th Kennedy Center honorees are outstanding people, outstanding group, incredible." He joked at one point of the award, "I wanted one, I was never able to get one," later adding, "I would've taken it if they would've called me. I waited and waited and waited and said the hell with it, I'll become Chairman."

Sometimes Trump reminds me of Zaphod Beeblebrox, but in a good way. I'm thinking of Zaphod's line when he is given the honor of christening the galaxy's fastest starship, the Heart of Gold.

“Wow,' said Zaphod Beeblebrox to the Heart of Gold. There wasn't much else he could say.

He said it again because he knew it would annoy the press. 'Wow.'

The crowd turned their faces back toward him expectantly. He winked at Trillian, who raised her eyebrows and widened her eyes at him. She knew what he was about to say and thought him a terrible show-off.

'That is really amazing.' he said. 'That really is truly amazing. That is so amazingly amazing I think I'd like to steal it.'

The crowd laughs in amusement, and then he steals the ship.

A Louisville father is demanding answers after a repeat offender, who had been released early from a 14-year prison sentence under "shock probation," allegedly broke into his home, kidnapped his wife and two sons at knifepoint, and forced them to help rob a local bank.

Armond Langford reportedly entered Strong's home and forced his wife and two of his three children to drive him to a nearby PNC Bank.

Langford fled the scene after robbing the bank, sending police on an hours-long manhunt before he was apprehended. Strong's wife was transported to the hospital and treated for stab wounds.

How in the hell do you "strike a deal" to make service academies comply with federal law?

I mean it's pretty simple actually. Stop doing this or people will go to jail, if you keep doing this all of your admission staff will face federal charges for discrimination. There is no need for a "deal", just go in and say stop breaking the law or you will go to jail. FAFO.

But anyone who would mention this, would of course have their next FITREP or Yearly Eval, marked down in the Equal Opportunity section... which would then be the kiss of death to your career.

I concur. The Navy owes me about $264,000 in missed retirement income because they denied me Senior Chief. When we were leaving GITMO for our next duty station the detailers came for a visit. I had just made Chief and I asked for a Cruiser or Destroyer out of Norfolk. I was told all of those billets were being held for females so they could load up on sea duty. The detailer told me I had already had had enough sea time and it was their turn so they could make rate. I asked how the heck was I going to make Senior Chief sitting on shore duty and he said, you ain't. I was bumping against high year tenure sitting on shore duty when I put in my Fleet Reserve request 5 years later.

Yeah, always things breaking. Got the batwing mower connected (finally) and the edges mowed. Had to reconnect the loader on the other tractor (not as easy as it should have been), then get the drill on to seed the food plots ... but now need some rain in the forecast, despite all the rain we had.

But at least the soybeans look pretty, and some decent clover in the food plots. It's all gooood.

It's actually a smart move. This DOJ is taking a page from the leftist's playbook. They are agreeing to a deal that they want anyway, but as part of a legal settlement blessed by a court. Now if a future administration want to go back to the old bullshit, they will be violating the legal agreement.

158 THANK YOU! There's an ugly tendency around here where, when somebody reads something they don't like, or something mildly heterodox, their go-to explanation is "troll." It's paranoid and creepy.

159 Charlie Kirk is a once in a lifetime figure; He was compared before to Rush of blessed memory but I posit he is a step ahead in that he routinely engages with hostile audiences and has honed his arguments in a persuasive way. I see that he is unafraid of failure which is a key element in this endeavour. The spectacular defense demonstrated in the Oxford Union of not just US values but the generous inheritance of those values from Britain goes a long way toward persuasion.
