Finally Friday Cafe

route66monumentvalleyarizona.jpg
Route 66, Monument Valley, AZ

Cats are opposed to the surveillance state.

Ah, it's finally Friday. What a week.

Dog is my copilot.

Dogs help their master.

Rosie O'Donnell said The View is cancelled?!?!

A coyote was separated from his pack so he made friends with the neighborhood dogs. That's not a great situation for a coyote so they brought him to a refuge and gave him a friend.

Rescuing and rehabbing an injured owl.

A dog helps a sloth named Chuey heal up after being electrified by a power line.

Bear cub takes a dip in your hot tub.

Poppy the baby pygmy hippo goes for her first swim.

Solving the most perplexing mystery in history: What football game were they watching in Die Hard?

Guitar and parrot perform "Sultans of Swing."

Goat knows how to entice a lady.

Mild violence caution on this clip from Steve Inman: A goat shows that he's no fan of influencers or selfies. Ask permission before you photograph someone else for your stupid TikTok feed!

This guy has filled his house with secret doors and secret rooms. He's either young at heart, or a serial killer.

Flipping each other off.

A new dog moved in next door.

Oregon has a tradition: The Squishing of the Squash.

108 I was a huge KISS fan.

Then I turned 13.

Then I discovered Black Sabbath, Alice Cooper (the band), Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest. Then Scorpions (when they were still dark), Iron Maiden, Saxon.

Then on to Megadeth, Testament, Exodus. And, yeah, Metallica (before Cliff died).

Trump has the luxury of passive aggression.

234 Carnivore Crack

Crispy, salty, buttery, and dangerously addictive—this simple treat is pure carnivore heaven. Think of it as bacon candy, but without sugar or carbs. Just rich browned butter fused with crunchy, smoky bacon bits, frozen into a crackable sheet of savory bliss. The best part? It’s ridiculously easy to make and perfect for sharing… or not sharing.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter (or salted, just reduce added salt later)
10–12 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
Pinch of salt (optional, to taste)
Instructions

Cook the bacon – In a skillet over medium heat, cook bacon until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel–lined plate to drain, then break into small pieces.
Brown the butter – In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium-low heat. Continue cooking until golden brown with a nutty aroma, about 5–7 minutes. Keep an eye on it so it doesn’t burn.
Combine – Stir the crumbled bacon into the browned butter. Taste and add a pinch of salt if needed.
Freeze – Pour the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet, spreading evenly.
Set – Freeze for about 1 hour, or until completely solid.
Break & enjoy – Remove from freezer, break into irregular “crack”
