A San-Francisco-based federal judge on Friday blocked the Department of Homeland Security's efforts to cancel temporary protected status (TPS) for recipients from Nepal, Nicaragua, and Honduras.

Judge Trina Thompson asserted that Trump administration officials had demonstrated a likely racial motivation for the cancellation and paused the deadline for them to leave the country.

"The freedom to live fearlessly, the opportunity of liberty, and the American dream. That is all Plaintiffs seek. Instead, they are told to atone for their race, leave because of their names, and purify their blood. The Court disagrees," she asserted.

If this reads to you more as an impassioned political stump speech from a crazed demagogue more than a judicial ruling: Congratulations, you read at an age-appropriate level.

"The Court orders that the TPS terminations shall be postponed to preserve the status quo and until a hearing on the merits on November 18, 2025. Postponement will be subject to extension at the November 18, 2025 hearing."

The move is a blow to Trump's efforts to speedily deport large swathes of immigrants and another instance of a federal judge blocking White House policy, even after the Supreme Court narrowed the scope of nationwide injunctions.

Yeah this is the problem I have. When I see a kid doing something bad or dumb or wrong, can I intervene? Will I get charged with something awful? Will the parent go berserk on me? Will mommy run to Instagram and try to get me canceled?

We used to have a society where all adults were responsible for all children to varying degrees. I remember doing dumb, boneheaded stuff as a kid and having a random adult pull me aside and straighten me out. He got this horrified look on his face and ran back, where our boy was sitting in the buggy calmly talking to the cashier. I did not kill my husband in the store. But he got an earful in the car and never did it again.

Fortunately it was in 1982 and a low crime city. Fortunately nothing happened to our boy. Fortunately for my husband, especially.

I knew where ours were at all times until junior high. Then they had to tell me. It was our responsibilty to somehow get them to adulthood and we did. There were some bumps and concussions along the way, but we succeeded.

The ad is just a small part of that - the worst part is that they've shut down all production of current lines until their new line of EV vehicles can be released.

I don't think that line will ever be released, and meanwhile every Jaguar dealership in the world is closing. There's no coming back from that. And the CEO of Jaguar just resigned.

And they are behind data centers in the line for power. 100% of the grid is in use today. Data centers will double the power requirement. Any large scale EV would triple it.

And that leaves out the fact that there aren't enough minerals on earth to replace all of the ICE in the first world with battery powered vehicles.

If I wasn't such a weather wimp, especially for heat I'd be trying to move there. Disclosure this was an incident from several years ago. Even in Texas, this doesn't seem to be the normal outcome. I suppose most of the pedo scum are better at avoiding detection, but also too many scumbag Soros DAs that will release the pedo but would throw the book at a vengeful or even proctective parent have been installed.
