Robberies are also down 20% and carjacking fell by 24%. Vehicle theft was rising from the summer of 2020 through 2023, according to the Council on Criminal Justice, but the trend began reversing in 2024. Since Trump returned to office on Jan. 20, the Trump administration has arrested nearly 300,000 illegal aliens and deported more than 239,000, according to DHS.

But it wasn't Martinez-Avila's first rodeo. And maybe we need to wait til the mid-terms or something, to see if there's any political price, but hard to be optimistic when a huge swath of the country seems unperturbed by the outrageous stuff going on, for example your SF illegal attempted kidnapping of a car with a child after a judge sprung him.
It's tiring but absolutely valid to point out that in any previous era, even one story like that would have major national repercussions. You'd have politicos of all stripes racing to say the obvious correct things.

Yeah for at least 20 years, blacks have been the majority of representation in everything, from magazines to textbooks to movies, to television, ads, etc. Oddly white people never complained about being left out or not represented, I liked Blade from the first scene and though the was cool. His skin color was the least significant thing about him.

I have represented (pro bono) an asylum applicant, in my career as an attorney. The woman in question had an actual basis for requesting asylum from a dictatorship country, which involved her repeated imprisonment for political activity (pro-democracy, in her case). And quite a lot of beatings. And rape. She was granted asylum.
"Seeking asylum" has to mean having some specific basis for that claim. Why is this not understood by Democrats? And by Bulwark things?

I go to a food bank, and let me swear, attest, and affirm to you-all that SOMEHOW all these poor-as-churchmice illegal Mexicans who show up on food-bank days are driving SUV's or big Ford pickups that are under three years old. MY car is 20 years old; yeah I'm a little jealous that the illegals get allll this organized aid and assistance (AND PS- it's black-letter-of-the-law ILLEGAL to do so!) while us old dudes who've outlived our savings are mostly invisible to TPTB. (AND, we have to pay income tax on the social security payments we receive - which money was taxed away from us and our employers in the first place. Makes no sense. Bah.)
But anyway, the point is : drop by your local food bank and take a look for yourself -- do the illegals have a better car than you do??
