Yeah our current cat Dexter snores, but its quiet sort of kitty snores, not disturbing. He does chase stuff a lot in his dreams though. And jerks away suddenly a lot. Doesn't seem very restful but he sleeps most of the day anyway.

They're already doing that.
Last year some scammers made off with $25 million from a Hong Kong company when they used AI to deepfake a video and audio conference call from the CFO, along with some other fake coworkers, of the company telling the employee to transfer the money in 15 different transactions.
People have been AI deepfaking voices to impersonate relatives begging for money for a few years now.
It usually involves being held for ransom or needing bail money or something similar.
The voices are convincing if the crooks have a recording of your voice to start with.
This sort of thing will be as commonplace in the future as scam phone calls are now unless we figure out a way to prevent it/label it, detect it.

The Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah Wilderness (Valley of Dreams) is in NW New Mexico and is in a dark sky region. It is a godly place. For extra credit Chaco Canyon is near by. Its has magnificent ancient Puebloan ruins and is the type of place that can and does send chills up your back; it is place where you can be walking along and out of the blue an overwhelming sense of a presence of something bigger that what you can see visits you.
The photo is of one of the iconic Ah-Shi-Sle-Pah land forms and gets a close as you can in a photo to how the night sky there can leave you with tears running down your cheeks.

one way to help with scams would be for all AIs to have a code they embed in their work that can be detected, something that flags their stuff as AI. That won't stop crooks from using their own, but AIs are not cheap or easy to develop

Our Golden would have let anyone in the house...and take them to the laundry room where his treats were stored. To be fed before the bloody rampage of his owners.
The Golden greeting the man above gets his stuffed animal. They do this when they are happy to see you. It is sort of a pacifier.
Our Golden was also addicted to our son's dirty socks and would hide them. Granted the boys were pigs and often did not put them in the laundry basket in their closets. Their father told me to "pick my battles" and I gave up on their rooms in high school.
He once met a couple we were having for dinner, and did not know really well. He arrived in the foyer with a pair of one son's dirty underwear in his mouth to say hello. He reserved this for special guests. Fortunately they had a Golden as well who was a nutcase.

My father was very good at golf. He taught us tennis, basketball, badmitton and baseball. He wanted to teach me golf, figuring I could be (back then) one of the rare females to get a college scholarship and save him money. He was always thinking ahead. I told him it was too slow paced.
I do regret now not having it a try as it would have been more time with him as a teen. But it would probably be only one lesson as I would throw my putter or club as well as the ball as far as I could if I did not succeed quickly. I was known to throw my tricycle in the early days of toddlerhood.
He also taught me to shoot pool, which came in handy at bars in college. I was pretty good.
No scholarships were ever won by me.

re: Elaine Godfrey's Atlantic piece published on Sunday
Finally, she let readers know that Crockett received 7,000 fewer votes in her re-election campaign in 2024 than her predecessor, the late Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson, did in 2020.
In other words, though Crockett hails from a safe district in Dallas, she is losing support even there.
The overall message of The Atlantic piece is clear: Jasmine Crockett should not be taken seriously or in any way become the face of the Democratic Party.

Hollow leg and all that, last person standing in those daze. Almost every weekend in college if anyone asked I'd be there...and where I really met my husband. Had seen him around at the hospital where I trained.
I would also say yes to anything, so you bet if I were young and single I'd be there! Thank you again!!!
I'm tied down, too, with the birth of a new baby girl next month (we'll have her siblings for a few nights), company visiting, etc into November. I never say never, however!
