Delusional Mentally-Ill Suspect Immediately ID'd as "Possibly White" by CNN's Erin Burnett Kills Four Over Delusional CTE Self-Diagnosis
He halluciated having been in the NFL, and then went to the NFL's corporate offices to get vengeance for his hallucination.
He shot a fifth person, who survived the attack. This maniac never played in the NFL, or even college. He played only high school football. The below photo of the maniac killer was publicized early into the incident.
The crazed gunman who killed an NYPD officer and three other people in a Midtown skyscraper on Monday evening was carrying a note in his pocket that expressed grievances with the NFL and claimed he suffered from CTE -- a brain injury linked to head trauma, sources told The Post. Shane Tamura, 27, cited the NFL in the writings, which were found after he fatally shot himself in the chest on the 33rd floor of 345 Park Ave. -- a swanky skyscraper that houses the football league's corporate headquarters. The mentally ill man wanted to shoot up the NFL's offices on levels 5 through 8 -- but "mistakenly went up the wrong elevator banks" and ended up on a higher floor, Mayor Eric Adams confirmed Tuesday. In his three-page ramblings, Tamura blamed football for his apparent struggle with the neurodegenerative disease chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) and pleaded for his brain to be studied in the wake of the massacre, law enforcement sources said. He also specifically referred to Terry Long, the former Pittsburgh Steelers player who was diagnosed with CTE after downing antifreeze to kill himself 20 years ago. "Terry Long, football gave me CTE and it caused me to drink a gallon of antifreeze," the note stated, according to sources. "You can't go against the NFL, they'll squash you." "Please study brain for CTE. I'm sorry. The league knowingly concealed the dangers to our brains to maximize profits," Tamura continued. "They failed us." The NFL has offices elsewhere in the Park Avenue high-rise, and one of its employees was among those shot, though not fatally. Adams confirmed Tamura's note "alluded to having CTE from playing NFL" -- even though "he never played in the NFL." "It appears as though he was going after the employees of the NFL," the mayor confirmed on Fox 5. "We're still going through the suicide note to zero in on the exact reason, but at this time it appears as if it's something attached to his belief he experienced CTE from the NFL." ... Tamura, who lived in Las Vegas and had a known mental health history there, initially opened fire in the building's lobby before taking the elevator to the 33rd floor, where he turned the gun on himself.
CNN's Erin Burnett is being skewered for reporting that the gunman who opened fire in a Midtown skyscraper -- killing an NYPD cop and three others -- was "possibly white" after viewing the initial security footage released immediately after Shane Tamura's deadly rampage. In the photos first shared online, Tamura, 27, was captured in broad daylight walking into 345 Park Ave. with a Palmetto State Armory AR-15 rifle in his hand. Burnett said police knew the gunman had "sunglasses, mustache, male, possibly white" during a broadcast shortly after the shooting Monday evening. The chilling image of Tamura with the AR-15, however, showed him with a possibly darker or ethnically mixed complexion. Early police reports also suggested the suspect might be of Middle Eastern descent. Online critics slammed Burnett's statement for being too premature and presumptive. "He may be a bunch of different things, basically anything BUT white," one internet commenter said. "CNN should be shut down. They have not reported a truthful story in what seems like forever," another commenter on X said.Black commentators are questioning CNN's determination to gaslight the country. But yeah, concussions are a known problem, its not exactly a medical secret. Football is a very weird sport to me, why its so popular I can only speculate about.

I have buddies in their 30's with life long knee, back, and ankle issues from playing high school and college football. Hardly seems worth it.
Not to mention, it's clearly and obviously really bad for you to be subjected to repeated concussions.
And you're right, it's not a secret. We've known about boxers who go "punch drunk" for, I don't know, hundreds? or thousands? of years.

Nothing justifies the group participation and howling in joy. People beat the shit out of each other all the time. What is revolting about this is the reaction of and participation by the bystanders. Agreed. You shouldn't shove someone. But you also shouldn't have 20 people beating the shit out of someone.
In fact, that goes far beyond any self defense argument. If the guy had died, and it was a sane jurisdiction, that could very well have qualified the brothers for a murder charge.
And with 10+ people throwing fists and feet, it would be very easy to accidentally kill the guy.
Also, I've been shoved by drunk people before. Do you know what I did? Walked away, because I'm not trying to get in a fight, even if I think I'll win.

That might be it, but I think it's more likely that they just kind of ... joined in on the fight.
Some people walk around looking for a reason to fight. This was a pretty low risk fight for the black guys, the white guy was not in a position to hurt them.
And I don't think it's necessarily racial, I was in a fraternity in college and I watched some ridiculously unnecessary fights happen among young, white, drunk fraternity kids as well over absolute nonsense.

I have a church buddy who is half Japanese. I didn't see it until he told me, but after he did it became clearer and clearer that some of his features were definitely Japanese. I think it's in the facial angles of this guy.
But he *looks* mostly black. However, from mulattos I have known through my life, dark skin does seem to be dominant over light.

I think you guys are saying different things.
You are saying the obvious truth -- if you ever find yourself in that situation, do whatever you reasonably can do to avoid getting the shit kicked out of you, because that WILL be the outcome if you pick a fight with a guy and his 10+ buddies are standing right there.
But also, the crowd should all be charged with aggravated assault because their behavior is unacceptable in a civilized society, and we shouldn't reflexively blame the victim any more than we should blame a girl for getting raped because she dressed provocatively.
There is an element of truth that the victims put themselves in this situation, but also -- that's not a recipe for a successful society if we all just accept that sometimes people get beat up or raped and well, there's nothing you can do about it.

There's an unstated assumption at work: that the blacks were gonna let this guy walk away, if only he hadn't thrown a punch. But we don't know this. It's possible. But when you've got this kind of tribal dynamic at work, you might not even be able to walk away. I saw a Twitter post that said the Balkans should form a single nation because they would dominate Europe with all their resources and ports, land etc. Which was on paper pretty persuasive, they really do have everything they need.
The problem is, we came up with a word to describe groups hating each other and being divisive eternally BASED on the Balkans because they've all been basically at war since humanity first lived there. Those rivalries and feuds go back thousands of years. There's no uniting that people.

You're right, we don't know. And I'm sure we'll get the normal competing narratives and we'll never really know the truth.
But as a general rule, we should all practice a little bit of Jesus's advice here and turn the other cheek if we get in to a confrontation with a big group of guys, because 1 against 10+ people rarely goes well for the 1 unless he's a small woman in a hollywood movie with amazingly choreographed martial arts moves.

Balkan ports are pretty crap, actually. Inland communications are poor due to rugged terrain and few rivers that ships can use. Bandits can pop thru hills and mountains easier than organized forces can round them up.
Empires 'owning' the area would sometimes march in and burn settlements and kill anyone they caught if the locals got too sporty.
Julius Caesar was going to go after that area after his consulship, had the Roman coastal province there but the Helvetii in Switzerland invaded Gaul and he got drawn in to the situation there.

Difference is that fascism, by design does not have to be tyranny, as long as everyone cooperates. It's intention is a state-led improvement on society.
Not all the places that I'm calling "essentially fascist" have slidden into tyranny that long ago. But they are all socialistic, all have some idea of "representation", and all recently bought into the idea that the State *should* tell you what you can and cannot do along with its goals of "improvement".
There's no way I'm saying "fascism" = "tyranny".
Why wouldn't we call Nazi Germany a "mere dictatorship" having many of the power dynamics of a dictatorship, but with the personal preference of fascist theories from the dictator? Why wouldn't we call Castro simply a "dictator" since the only the "Dictatorship of the Proletariat" was actually in the Marxian plan? But that dictatorship had Marxian features because of the preferences of Castro?
