Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | The Morning Report — 7/23/25![]() “House Democrat Leader Hakeem Jeffries corruptly gave 17 New Jersey U.S. district judges their marching orders: ‘Fire New Jersey U.S. Attorney @AlinaHabba,’ “wrote Article III Project president Mike Davis on X following the panel’s decision. “And these New Jersey activist judges—15 of whom were appointed by Obama and Biden—saluted,” Davis continued. “This violated Canons 2, 3, and 5 of the Code of Conduct for United States Judges. @Article3Project will file a judicial misconduct complaint.” President Donald Trump appointed Habba to the position on March 24 but her confirmation has been held up by Senate Democrats. Interim US attorneys are only allowed to serve for 120 days without a Senate confirmation but their term can be extended if the district court in their jurisdiction grants them an extension. The 17 New Jersey district judges held a meeting Monday morning to decide whether to extend her position, which was set to expire at 11:59 p.m. Friday. Chief US District Judge Renée Marie Bumb announced in a signed order Tuesday that the panel had opted against extending Habba’s term and appointed career prosecutor Desiree Leigh Grace to take over for her, effective immediately. Later Tuesday, Attorney General Pam Bondi stepped in and promptly removed Grace from the position. “US Atty Habba has been doing a great job in making NJ safe again. Nonetheless, politically minded judges refused to allow her to continue in her position, replacing Alina with the First Assistant,” Bondi said in a statement posted on X at 4:18 pm. “Accordingly, the First Assistant United States Attorney in New Jersey has just been removed,” Bondi continued. “This Department of Justice does not tolerate rogue judges — especially when they threaten the President’s core Article II powers.”Thank you AG Bondi for slapping that mutt piece of shit Hakeem-rent-a-camel (Beatles cartoon reference) Jeffries down. In a similar vein we and of course she still have/has this to contend with: When asked why the current Department of Justice might be investigating him, former CIA Director John Brennan answered, as was his wont, with a complete lie: “I am clueless about what it is exactly that they may be investigating me for.” Clueless? Hardly. Brennan knows full well that his fingerprints are on some of the greatest scandals of the last decade. These machinations have threatened the very integrity of our institutions and elections. He has a record of serially lying to Congress, the public, and the media, and doing so emphatically. . . . . . Brennan was at the center of three of the greatest scandals in recent history that may well have changed American history. His promotion of the fake Steele dossier sought to destroy the Trump campaign and sway the election in favor of Hillary Clinton. . . . . . Now, Brennan thinks Trump has weaponized the Justice Department to investigate Brennan’s many lies and efforts to warp domestic elections. In truth, John Brennan, along with former FBI Director James Comey and James Clapper, the former Director of National Intelligence, more or less destroyed the reputation of our investigative and intelligence bureaus by chronically lying, leaking, and weaponizing the government.Of course Brennan was working at the direct behest of or on his own to please/appease Obama. The ODNI report found “overwhelming evidence that demonstrates how, after President Trump won the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton, President Obama and his national security cabinet members manufactured and politicized intelligence to lay the groundwork for what was essentially a years-long coup against President Trump,” per a release from Gabbard’s office. The CIA and other agencies that deal with foreign intelligence have historically been subject to strict rules that forbid them from operating on or spying on American citizens on American soil in most circumstances. However, after 9/11, the American people’s privacy and protections as citizens were stripped back to supposedly combat future terrorist attacks. DHS was created, and the NSA was empowered. The NSA has since developed a track record for taking liberties with their jurisdiction and spying on American citizens. Then we had rapid advancements in technology that brought Americans’ personal lives online and into spaces that had no legal precedent for privacy. Fast forward to 2016, when this Russia Hoax begins taking place, and DHS, CIA, FBI, NSA, and others were directed by the White House to work together to manufacture intelligence to subvert the will of the American people. With this kind of pressure and direction from the White House, there are numerous ways that protections enshrined for American citizens could have been violated. When different agencies with varying jurisdictions and mandates are directed to work together against the American people, how can we ensure that our protections are being respected? DHS has access to information that the CIA might not, and vice versa, because they have different mandates. This, in theory, protects Americans from the type of influence coming from the Intelligence Community that was peddled during this hoax. This hoax was luckily contained to manufacturing and politicizing intelligence, as far as we know. Still, the demand from the White House for cooperation among all these agencies to work against the American people should be enough to prompt us to pause and think seriously. As much as we need cooperation and we want our homeland protection agencies to have the best information possible, I believe this revelation is a powerful reason for us to implement checks and balances on the Intelligence Community to protect American citizens. As the author of this piece states “As much as we need cooperation and we want our homeland protection agencies to have the best information possible, I believe this revelation is a powerful reason for us to implement checks and balances on the Intelligence Community to protect American citizens.” The problem is, despite the election of Donald Trump and his allies in the top slots of these and other agencies, this presupposes we do indeed still have a government and bureaucracies that actually want to parted the America citizenry and not oppress/enslave them. While I want to believe we are on the right track, we still have a very long journey ahead of us to restore these institutions and at the heart of it all, the moral fiber and character of people who work at and ultimately lead these institutions, and indeed the entire nation itself. If freaks and mutants like Momdani in NYC and now this Fateh in Minneapolis are actually the frontrunners in their respective mayoral races, that does not give one much hope for the future. Meh, Obama, a verified America-hating son/mentee of a bust out America-hating Stalinist was twice elected President. And John Brennan a likely known Communist sympathizer and Gus Hall/Angela Davis supporter somehow was accepted in as an employee of the CIA, the supposed first line of defense against communist/enemy infiltration whose eyes and ears are allegedly everywhere and X-Ray every aspect of any potential government employee's life before they can even apply to be a toilet attendant at the Dept. of Redundancy Dept., let alone the CIA itself! And elsewhere in the Land of the free and the home of the brave . . or the Land of the freebies and the home of the depraved. . . The Palisades Fire, with a burn area that included Malibu, destroyed over 6,000 homes. So far, 161 permits have been issued by the City of Los Angeles. The community of Altadena, which was consumed by the Eaton Fire, lost over 9,000 homes. So far, 84 rebuilding permits have been issued. . . But whether it’s California Governor Gavin Newsom or Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, the playbook is not designed to help people rebuild their homes and move back into the neighborhoods where their families have lived for generations. New regulations did not replace old regulations. They added as much as they removed, with the new ones being unfamiliar even to veteran builders. All of them, of course, came delivered with the rhetoric of streamlining, while in fact only adding complexity. Newsom, a tool of corporatist special interests, and Bass, a socialist darling of public sector union bosses, were never playing a game intended to help anyone living in a “single-family detached home.” The new regulations, sold as a way to expedite permitting, were in fact a way to make rebuilding impossible for all but the wealthiest homeowners. And Newsom’s executive order that would “prevent opportunistic investors from exploiting vulnerable residents by offering below-market prices” was actually a move calculated to limit the options of homeowners while the special interests—including the government itself—lined up to purchase these properties. . . This “action plan” released by a “blue ribbon commission” in Los Angeles epitomizes the corporate socialist vision. Public/private partnerships grab rebuilding funds, purchase homes from people who can’t possibly hope to navigate ridiculous “streamlined” regulations, and consolidate properties into high-density, low-income housing. To be even more specific: heavily subsidized corporations and hedge funds will purchase properties in Altadena and Pacific Palisades to redesign, rebuild, and then own apartment houses where before there were privately held single-family homes. Then they will collect taxpayer-guaranteed and taxpayer-subsidized rents in perpetuity. The properties will be owned and managed by hedge funds and their proxies, while the tenants will be supervised by NGOs and government bureaucrats. This is the dawning face of corporate socialism. It hides behind environmentalism to create shortages and increase prices, allowing financial special interests to partner with government bureaucrats to roll up a manipulated market. For those of you who have schadenfreude over citizens getting what they voted for good and hard, Whether here or a potential mass terror attack in New York City, thankfully broken up by an alert FBI remember that what elected maniacs can do via their political power or what psychos with pipe bombs can do can and ultimately may very well happen in your seemingly out of the way neck of the woods. Zohran is polling at 39% which will be his ceiling.
Sadly, NYC has Rank Choice for primaries but not for the general where whoever gets the most votes wins with no run-off. Adams is only at 9% and should drop out. He was my pick of a bad lot. Sliwa, the R nominee, has no shot and should drop out or suspend his campaign. Which leaves Cuomo who can win in the general if there's strong turnout. President Donald J. Trump is backing U.S. Senator Mike Rounds (R-SD) for re-election despite having pledged not to endorse the South Dakota lawmaker just three years ago. In 2022, Trump slammed Rounds after the senator described the 2020 election as “fair” during an appearance on ABC’s This Week. At the time, Trump referred to Rounds as a “weak and ineffective leader” and stated, “I will never endorse this jerk again.”

The problem with the lack of motion on the judicial nominations isn't the Senate moving slowly, it's that Trump took forever to send nominations.
There are 50 current vacancies. The Senate Judiciary committee received notice of nominations for 10 in the last 9 days. That isn't the Senate waiting until July to do something. It's the Trump administration waiting until July to do something. I suspect there are good reasons for that (vetting and such), but the Senate's propensity for vacations isn't the core issue here. 9/11 happened in part because the nat sec orgs didn't communicate.
But shortly after that was changed they stopped focusing on jihadis and started focusing on Americans they didn't like. And I'll be honest, this goes straight back to Shrub. The leadership of the CIA and FBI should have resigned in mass on 9/12, apologized to the country publicly, and then individually gone to their studies with a tumbler of brandy and a pistol and...not come out. Instead Shrub gave them medals and honors. For what? Failing catastrophically? I know government is known for incompetent work, but either depower these organizations because they can't do the things they are supposed to be doing, or aggressively punish the leadership for failing until you find leaders that won't fail constantly. He had a few songs that were fun to listen to, but I was never a fan. Long ago and far away, I had a good friend who was a huge fan of Black Sabbath. Thus, I heard BS a gajillion times esp the first 4 albums. Ole Oz and BS deserved their high rank in the third tier of rock, IMHO. For every "Iron Man" there were 20 mediocrities like "Fairies Wear Boots". Still, the guy took his talent as far as he possibly good, so good for him. Few rockers accomplish a long term career and popularity. Again RIP. That’s a myth. Negative calories do not exist.
Posted by: Bulg A stick of celery contains about six calories; chewing and digesting it will only take half a calorie. However, the rest of your metabolism doesn’t stop just because you are eating celery and a 2016 study found that a stick of celery provides 19 fewer calories than you normally burn during the time you are eating it. So you’ll still starve on a diet of celery, just more slowly than not eating at all. https://tinyurl.com/y8u5jszu Posted by: rickb223 at July 23, 2025 08:38 AM (4Rx1C) 182

He said that unless it was going to a charity or organization with a documented history of doing good works, that the money was wasted or very probably being used in unsavory ways because it was basically untraceable. 9/11/2001 happened in part because the nat sec orgs didn't communicate. But shortly after that was changed they stopped focusing on jihadis and started focusing on Americans they didn't like.
I think this is the narrative, but it doesn’t really hold up to scrutiny. It was a failure alright - the agencies were prevented from doing anything by the higher ups in charge. This is a common and recurring theme over and over, there’s no reason to suspect different here. The spook agencies have been working on America and Americans since day one, and their activities been shrouded in secrecy and cutouts and “plausible deniability”. The globalists set their sights on Americans prior to World War II certainly, and those many things that make a society resilient. Does “Diversity” for example, truly make a nation stronger? Probably not, it makes Bosnia, or the Balkans. Posted by: Common Tater at July 23, 2025 08:43 AM (Bpotg) 205

12 Zohran is polling at 39% which will be his ceiling.
I never thought I could pull the lever for a Cuomo, but there you go ... Posted by: Ignoramus at July 23, 2025 07:44 AM (dtajH) I agree Adams should drop out. But Cuomo is as bad as Mamdani...so if anything, Silwa should just run a "I won't protect illegals" campaign and try to get the protest voters. In a 3 way, he could win. I mean, Rs have won before when the voters get completely fed up (and if Donald wanted to help, he'd send DOJ to monitor the vote for irregularities)... 'Catastrophic': AI Agent Goes Rogue, Wipes Out Company's Entire Database SaaS industry veteran Jason Lemkin's attempt to integrate artificial intelligence into his workflow has gone spectacularly wrong, with an AI coding assistant admitting to a "catastrophic failure" after wiping out an entire company database containing over 2,400 business records, according to Tom’s Hardware. Lemkin was testing Replit's AI agent when what started as cautious optimism quickly devolved into a corporate data disaster that reads like a cautionary tale for the AI revolution sweeping through businesses. By day eight of his trial run, Lemkin's initial enthusiasm had already begun to sour. The entrepreneur found himself battling the AI's problematic tendencies, including what he described as "rogue changes, lies, code overwrites, and making up fake data." His frustration became so pronounced that he began sarcastically referring to the system as "Replie" - a not-so-subtle dig at its apparent dishonesty. >>I had a good politically active lefty friend in to 90s before things became so polarized that told me to NEVER donate money.
... What what I have seen since 9/11, when I started paying actual attention to politics, I have no doubt he was right. The one thing I can give Rosie O'Donell credit for is her stance on celebrity fundraising. She was asked to participate in the big celebrity telethon for 9/11 victims, and asked "How much are you asking each of us to donate - $50, 100k,. . ?" She was told nothing, just had to participate and ask others to give money. She declined and then publicly condemned all the rich celebrities for not donating -- that it was stupid that the richest were giving their time and "talents" while asking the normies to provide the cash. I know there are celebrities who will quietly donate to disaster funds, an that's wonderful. But I haaate the ones who think singing a song or being the spokesman for the effort (see: Oprah and The Rock after the Maui fires) is the totality of their donation to the cause. > If the Dems in NYC really want Cuomo out of the way they could always indict him for the murder of the elderly during COVID.
------------ In all honesty, as corrupt as the Democrats are, especially in NYC, if they don't want the Muslim as mayor he won't win the election. Turnout won't even factor into it. OTOH if they want him to win, he'll be mayor. Again, turnout won't matter. My only question is who the DNC is behind... and whether they have pull with the NYC Democrats. Either way it'll be a nasty intramural fight. Posted by: Martini Farmer at July 23, 2025 09:14 AM (Q4IgG) 352

Microsoft has issued a critical warning about Chinese state-backed hackers exploiting security flaws in its SharePoint software.
These vulnerabilities have been used to compromise a growing list of government agencies and private organizations worldwide, including the US National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA). In a detailed blog post, Microsoft identified three hacking groups with ties to China. The groups, known as Linen Typhoon, Violet Typhoon, and Storm-2603, are believed to have taken advantage of SharePoint weaknesses that mainly affect customers who operate the software on their internal servers rather than through Microsoft’s cloud-based services. When senior Obama officials demanded a new Intelligence Community Assessment (ICA) in December 2016—one month after Election Day—they were aware that dissenting voices existed within the intelligence community (IC), as they sought to suppress them.
One such voice came from a senior ODNI (Office of the Director of National Intelligence) analyst who spearheaded the September 12, 2016, ICA on cyber threats. His refusal to bend the facts rattled the intelligence apparatus. His voice had to be silenced. At the time, the Intelligence Community’s (IC) consensus was clear: foreign adversaries did not have—and probably would not soon gain—the capabilities to “execute widespread and undetected cyberattacks” on U.S. election infrastructure.
