Three House Committees Combine to Subpoena the Democrats' Illegal Foreign Contribution Money-Laundering Arm, Act Blue

Finally, we are taking out their illegal fundraising schemes one by one, from money laundered through "nonprofit NGOs" to Act Blue, which falsely files illegal foreign donations as coming from Americans (who then report, "I never donated to a Democrat in my life!")

Three House committees are banding together to subpoena Democratic fundraising giant ActBlue on Tuesday, accusing the platform of having accepted "fraudulent or illegal" donations for left-wing candidates.

"In light of allegations that online fundraising platforms that serve as conduits for political donations have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources, the Committees are conducting oversight to inform potential legislative reforms," House investigators' letter to ActBlue read.

"To further our oversight and legislative reform efforts, on April 2, 2025, the Committees requested documents and communications related to internal misconduct and whistleblower retaliation at ActBlue. Although ActBlue initially provided documents voluntarily, it has since suspended its cooperation with the Committees. Therefore, the Committee on House Administration must resort to compulsory process to obtain the requested materials."

...

Their letter said ActBlue had initially appeared to work with the House committees in April and May before having "abruptly changed course" in June.

"ActBlue did not provide a legitimate legal basis for refusing future cooperation with the Committees, and instead made baseless and untrue allegations about the Committees' motives," the lawmakers said.

...

At the time, Steil accused ActBlue of failing to properly account for private citizens' security by not requiring a CVV number for credit card donations. That has since changed, however, and ActBlue does currently require that information.

...

The subpoena gives ActBlue a deadline of Aug. 12 to turn over documents lawmakers are seeking.

They're subpoenaeing ActBlue's CEO.

Three House committees on Tuesday subpoenaed ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones for documents in the panels' probe of the online fundraising platform used for Democratic campaigns.

...

"In light of allegations that online fundraising platforms that serve as conduits for political donations have accepted fraudulent donations from domestic and foreign sources, the Committees are conducting oversight to inform potential legislative reforms," the chairmen wrote.

...

After initially handing over documents to the committees, ActBlue informed the panels last month "that it would not make further voluntary productions until the Committees provided 'more information' about our oversight," according to the chairmen.

In other words: Tell us what crimes you suspect before we answer your questions.

That is, obviously, not how this works.

"ActBlue did not provide a legitimate legal basis for refusing future cooperation with the Committees, and instead made baseless and untrue allegations about the Committees' motives."

It's trivially easy to find massive, repeated donations to ActBlue that use stolen identities and, quite possibly, stolen credit cards.

For example, one person in Virginia has been named in 22,619 separate donations since 2019, totaling more than $800,000. Obviously, she's being exploited for some kind of money-laundering operation.

ActBlue raises from all fifty states. We have fifty state AGs. When will one of them take action?

123 I'm going to make a prediction. Act Blue donation lists are going to match up with three mailing lists rented by the Hillary Clinton campaign from InfoUSA back in December 2016.

At the time she rented them (which is a rare process to begin with) she only paid just a little over $8000 for all three. The going rate was somewhere around $800,000 for each. However, if you aren't going to use the lists from donation requests (and the CEO of InfoUSA is a friend of both you and your husband) you get a nice deal. Plus, the owner of the list doesn't see depreciation on its value since the lists are not being used to solicit donations, but provide names and addresses to use as unknowing contributors.

Everything in our system is designed to frustrate quick and decisive action apart from a war. Framers intentionally set it up to do this. Unfortunately, as the usual fall of popular governments are--the politicians learned they could bribe voters with taxpayer money to the extent they are bribing them with borrowed money as well.

Elon and his DOGE boys did great about identifying problems but the solutions are going to have to go through the political process which is incomplete, frustrating, slow, and tedious. Trump can do only so much with his executive orders and Scotus has actually allowed him far more leeway on firing people, suspending contracts, etc. than I thought they would. At the end of the day, Congress has to legislate though for deeper and more permanent fixes.

There will be no budget fixing until as much as possible is wrung out on discretionary spending first.

Nixon for one. But generally speaking the intention of Congressional investigatory powers is to publicize issues--they can't put anyone in jail other than referral to the DOJ for contempt of Congress (McGrain v. Daugherty has not be used since the 20's).

What they can do is provide air cover for DoJ investigations as the Dems cannot help buy whine in Congress rather than shut up about it. That means the media reluctantly has to try to pick up a turd by the clean end to cover the story. Meanwhile DoJ investigations can more forward in relative obscurity.
