Aw: A senior dachshund -- oh, and I just learned this, "dachs" in German means "badger," so a dachsund is a badger-hunting dog -- competes in an agility contest. I give this dog 14 out of 10 for heart. Baby cows. Cute baby donkey. Absolute UNIT of a dog. My work here is done. Time for a break. Agents of chaos. Doggo released from death row -- scheduled for euthanasia -- has the best life now. Parents will give everything for their children, but somethings they need for themselves. Bamburgh Castle is impressive. A child and elephant wave to each other. Dropping your daughter off at an Ivy League college. Motorcycle vigilante witnesses a hit-and-run and says Not on my watch. (Unfortunately no violence, just submits evidence.) Man allows a duck and her ducklings to take a shortcut through his house every morning. Agents of Chaos and Ruin perform "War Pigs." A fitting tribute. Thanks to a commenter but I forget who it was! Just some dudes giving each other lovely thoughtful gifts.

Howdy! Still here in Amish Country, till Sunday. Then it's back to Babylon DC. Meh. Going to shoot boom sticks tomorrow. I brought up my .357 revolver and .9mm S&W FPC. Might fish too. Sister's got a nice sized pond full of fishes. Saw the Amish neighbors fishing in it last week. They caught a few. The local heron has been doing some fishing too. Big birdie. It is very nice up here (Western PA).

Another amazing astronomical discovery, thanks to the ESO's ERIS (Enhanced Resolution Imager and Spectrograph) on the Very Large Telescope down there in Chile, on the heels of observing an infant solar system just starting to form with the first condensation of silicates. They directly imaged a forming planet in the disc of a very young star. It's about 2 Jupiter masses, and about a Neptune distance from the star, HD 135344B, a very young F type. It's sweeping spiral arms out in the disc, clearing and accreting material as it forms. This is the first time such has been directly imaged. The system is about 440 ly away. Dachshunds mean? Um, no. I mean they are fearless against intruders (and blowing leaves, invisible dust motes etc); fearless to the point of recklessness even. I don’t subscribe to the electric universe theory totally but I do consider the star forming regions as possible electrical effects.
What we are witnessing is essentially electric currents between oppositely charged clouds of dust and gas. The potential difference between the clouds creates the currents along the path of least resistance. The dust and gas collects along the routes and forms stars. Now, my next question is why they haven't started hammering on NED, but the rumor is that that is specifically CIA black funding. I've known what USAID was for years and I'm just a moron on the internet. It was a cutout for intel operations. It was involved with funding illegal immigration, gain of function in Wuhan, regime change including Ukraine, censorship here at home. Basically everything Trump is targeting. USAID and NED were both CIA cutouts. Different funding structures, similar missions. I have a hard time believing Trump didn't know this. Posted by: JackStraw at July 23, 2025 08:55 PM (viF8m) 214

Herons are beautiful birds.
Yes, they compete to live. So do we. Btw, have you ever heard one? They are freaking dinosaurs. Posted by: nurse ratched at July 23, 2025 09:33 PM (60jTM) 290
We have owls, hawks, eagles, bobcats, foxes, coyotes, sneks, bear and things I haven't even seen here.
There are no stray cats or dogs around. Not one. Posted by: Tonypete I haven't seen an eagle or snake, but we've got all the rest. When you see an older stray cat, you know it's a survivor. Why all those predators won't thin out the peacocks, i don't know. Posted by: Grudge Harbor at July 23, 2025 09:33 PM (4DY5T) 291
There aren't enough theories on the internet.
Posted by: runner at July 23, 2025 09:26 PM (g47mK) Theories. Yeah. Like COVID came from a lab. Too many security holes in Butler that day. DEI agents, one who couldn't holster her gun. They didn't even give Trump the 'B' team. It was a hit that failed. I'm sorry but anyone with two eyes can see that. By whatever hand of whatever fate you believe, Trump lived. "In God We Trust." With this criminal government, think the worst and you'll be very far off the reality. Posted by: RickZ at July 23, 2025 09:34 PM (gKDq2) 292

As far as I know there's never been any solid evidence that Johnson was involved, but most people would assume it's highly likely he knew.

Yea, but isn't fun how much ass we are kicking? A couple years ago could you imagine a White House press conference like today? Offense is a lot more. Posted by: JackStraw at July 23, 2025 09:39 PM (viF8m) 296
If Round Heeled Jill did plan Butler, we'll she came damn close to assassinating a presidential candidate. Even with everyone pointing out the shooter, no one did dick until after he took the shot.

And some of that clear liquid that used to fall from the sky in the Before Time I vaguely remember finally returned, and I got .89" total. That's only 2.09" for the month. Offense is a lot more. Posted by: JackStraw at July 23, 2025 09:39 PM (viF8m) I know. I mean, I knew it was bad. We were going bankrupt at plaid speed. That money sure as hell didn't benefit us, We The People. IMAO, the Dems blew it with the illegal invasion. If they had kept that on the smaller side, we'd be commiserating about the years to which Trump was sentenced. Not to mention his bankrupty in NY State. Yeah, things would be very different. A 'Slider' world. Close but not quite. In California, gay marriage would be mandatory. Apologies to Bob Hope. Posted by: RickZ at July 23, 2025 09:46 PM (gKDq2) 304

Also probably not a coincidence. That $7 billion Harvard was getting every year wasn't just for DEI studies. It really isn't a mystery why schools like Harvard and Columbia went woke and aligned with the government policy before Trump. Posted by: JackStraw at July 23, 2025 09:56 PM (viF8m) 308

281 To keep cool in hot climates, storks use a behavior called "urohidrosis", where they defecate on their legs. The evaporating liquid helps to lower their body temperature, functioning similarly to sweating in humans.
