Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Petey Bootyjudge Spent $80 Billion of Taxpayer Money on DEI Nonsense While Delaying Vital Upgrades to the Air Traffic Control SystemHe's one of the leading Democrat candidates for the presidency. Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg failed to replace outdated air traffic control systems while in office -- with his agency instead shelling out tens of billions of dollars on a DEI agenda, according to federal spending records and airline industry insiders. In one meeting, Buttigieg -- who is said to be eyeing a 2028 presidential run -- told industry executives that air traffic control upgrades would just allow them to fly more planes, "and so why would that be in his interest?" sources said.Petey Bootyjudge recently got 0% support from black Democrats in a poll. And that wasn't a fluke -- in 2019, when he was "running for president," he also got 0% support from black Democrats in a poll. Blacks are not as enamored of gay white men as the Democrats' other major constituency, leftwing moral scold white women, are. He is fixated on the idea that he must be president. So it's very, very likely that he diverted that $80 billion from necessary hiring and upgrades to racial pandering just to boost his profile among blacks. It failed. Well, obviously the money he doled out to those specific organizations would ultimately be back channeled and laundered to him and connected associates more so than if the money was directed at more useful enterprises. Perhaps I'm having a lot of trouble with large numbers like 'billion', but I cannot imagine that all that money could have been spent in that manner. Are there really enough DEI grifters out there to absorb all of that money? You'd think that some of it would have filtered over to groups like NAACP. They only have an endowment of $150 million or so. DOT money would grow them by an order of magnitude, and it doesn't look like they got that much. The Gates Foundation has at least $70 billion in assets, by comparison. I don't get it. Posted by: Darrell Harris at July 22, 2025 12:33 PM (OQj7z) 63

Oregon Department of Transportation is laying off workers.
Apparently this began as of July 7. For note, the Oregon Legislature has a supermajority for the Dems who can set State spending where they want it, but the OBBB had reductions in monies going to states, and Sec DOT has made some rules about how federal money has to be spent. 1. Why is ODOT cutting jobs and services? ODOT is facing a historic operations and maintenance funding crisis caused by flattening gas tax revenues as Oregonians drive more efficient vehicles, rising costs, and legal limits on how transportation funds can be used. Now, ODOT is forced to make deep cuts, including laying off hundreds of employees and scaling back essential services like road maintenance, snow removal, and safety operations. Without new revenue or more revenue flexibility, ODOT does not have the ability to address the crisis without layoffs. Posted by: Kindltot at July 22, 2025 12:34 PM (D7oie) 72

Off topic somewhat, but after the close-call incident in Minot with the B-52, I talked to my son, who is stationed at Minot AFB. Military followed all protocols, but Minot International's tower didn't notify them about the inbound plane. Interestingly, the ATC's at Minot International aren't FAA employees, but private contractors. I expect that will change quickly. Also, my son said the base commander was on the bomber, as it was performing a flyover of the state fair.

Jesse Kelly has a good take on this. He points out that we look at this spending for DEI at the expense of efficiency and performance of the ATC and see it as a failure. We see someone wrapped up in identity pandering who got caught and see it as a failure on their part.
When, in fact, this is an absolute success in their eyes. This was his goal, and he completed the task. They don't have the same goals as we do. They don't have the same scoring system as we do. They wait just long enough after dropping this initial tidbit of incrimination on Obama, then drop the entire fucking hammer in public. This will never see a court room, where nasty lawyers can get their mitts all over the story. It will be dumped on the court of public opinion, and then Trump will make a gigantic show out of pardoning Obama and a handful of other associated miscreants "For the good of America", "So we can move forward", or something like that. I hope this isn't some sort of Jedi mind fuck going on." - Martini Farmer I'd guess it's mostly just more of the incorrect use of the word, if people are talking about formal legal issues. As defined in the constitution, it doesn't seem applicable to any of the stuff being discussed. The actual question is which criminal statutes might apply, and be feasibly used to prosecute. See "military tribunals!" and "Gitmo!" for other constantly and incorrectly used references and terms that are emotively satisfying to the users. "Treason" as "betrayal", certainly is appropriate. Federal agents follow man into Southern California grocery store
https://tinyurl.com/2ppbjd9u A video showing federal agents walking through an Inland Empire grocery store Monday morning prompted a call for answers by community advocates. The video shared by the Inland Coalition for Immigrant Justice (ICIJ) showed agents exiting an “employees only” area at the Stater Bros. location on West Hold Boulevard in Ontario. The incident prompted ICIJ Executive Director Javier Hernandez to ask why the agents were allowed into the store and expressed concerns over the Ontario Police Department’s role in the operation. Stater Bros. issued a statement Monday afternoon regarding the incident. "Unannounced, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents informed the Store Manager at our Ontario Stater Bros. Market that they were conducting surveillance on an individual at a nearby donut shop located within the same shopping plaza. According to the agents, the individual entered our store, prompting them to follow him inside" Posted by: BetaCuck4Lyfe at July 22, 2025 12:49 PM (9aVck) 157

150 147 "Treason" as "betrayal", certainly is appropriate. So that's the way I choose to interpret the word in this context.
Posted by: rhomboid at July 22, 2025 12:47 PM (1m82a) ======= Sedition is probably a more accurate term for what Obama and his lackeys did. Posted by: TheJamesMadison ======= From the Brits (and other places with kings), treason was an all purpose word because opposition to the king of any sort (who embodied the people literally) was treason. So politics often became complaining about the government ministers instead of the king. Much harder to make the treason charge publicly useful in these cases because kings often dispatched their ministers as scapegoats for bad policies and outcomes. Sedition came around in common use later. Posted by: whig at July 22, 2025 12:52 PM (ctrM5) 171

Sedition is probably a more accurate term for what Obama and his lackeys did.
Posted by: pudinhead --- I would rate that as true for Lincoln and even his Cabinet secretaries thought as much at the time. But, I think the South would have went anyway, in the crisis of 1850, the fire eaters nearly did so except the older Jacksonian Unionist position of key members like Speaker of the House made the deal. It destroyed the Whig party as a result and badly damaged the Democrat party as a national one. After that, the fireeaters gained in Southern state after state while the Northern Dems dithered with different formula such as popular sovereignty, etc. Dred Scott ended the appeasement strategy as the corollary to its decision was that slavery was permissible everywhere which the North immediately disavowed. But, what the South did not realize, is that the North would fight. If you read contemporaneous letters among the fireeaters at the time, they believe the North was too soft to fight and would let the South go without one. What's most interesting is that Trump is even using the word at all. Bongino and Patel (and Bondi) specifically brought up Epstein in a way that Trump never did, so he didn't have to get dragged into actions that they may or may not have committed to.
