Little Known Muldoon Factoid #473
In the late Renaissance Period the conch shell had a special prominence in society and was thought to symbolize health and longevity. The spiral configuration of the shell evoked a sense of eternity. Conch shells were used as adjuncts in portraits as a sort of. token of good luck. This is in stark contrast to the similar placement of skulls in various artwork of the era, symbolizing death and foreboding. Ir was widely believed that if you stared at the shell with deep focus you could make yourself go cross-eyed permanently. Posted by: muldoon at August 01, 2025 10:16 AM (poXs5) 126

I read something in Axios, whining about poor illegals getting deported. So sad.!!
But one thing in the article caught my eye. They said ICE deportations are up 300% this year vs last year in Colorado. And I’m like wait only 300%? During Biden’s years there were no virtually zero deportations and especially in deep blue states like Colorado where every city is a sanctuary city. 300% increase from a really low number doesn’t sound that impressive. I was hoping for more like 3000% increase. Posted by: Its Go Time Donald at August 01, 2025 10:16 AM (Vvm2m) 128

*** Out here on the beaches of Washington State, we have the geoduck. You retards are essentially telling Israel that every few years they have to accept terror raids into their territory and rapes and murders of their citizens in terror raids and that they can do nothing to stop it because Hamas is just allowed to do that. Fuck off. (Side note: this reminds me exactly of the picture of the SV guy executing that vietcong guy. The story behind that picture is that that VC had been part of raiding parties specifically targeting the civilian families of south Vietnamese guys. Just that day. So, fuck Hamas.) This morning I had an Uber ride to work with a driver that I have rode with before. He is nice enough but somewhat insane = Democrat. Somehow he feels free to express his opinions to me and they are all nonsense but this morning took the cake. "Did you now, that Trump said that before Epstein got ahold of Virginia Giuffre, that Trump "dated" her at age 15?" I told him that was false and quick frankly nonsense. He claimed that Trump just said this and that he was "worried" that Trump was losing his mental capacities. Wow.
Needless to say, I won't ride with him again. There is no use in arguing with a demented dolt who gets his "news" from the DU. Posted by: Cheri at August 01, 2025 10:59 AM (oiNtH) 256
