He says when he looks back at what he did, he “feels humility.” What an a-hole. Humility is a virtue. He should say he feels “humiliated”, which is more appropriate. But that would admit something. Depends on the judge and jurisdiction. Federal districts are often big enough where you can seat a jury that literally has never heard any of this fairly easy. DC might be the exception as they endless rule for Dems no matter what the issue is.

I mean, spouse had my 2 boys at a waterpark wave pool in life jackets...I leave to go to the bathroom and come back to the lifeguard having dragged the 3 out b/c 2 of the boys panicked when the waves started, and thus started dragging the spouse down.
I was gone FIVE minutes. I was a lifeguard, who also only had saves at waterparks (where folks also overestimate their ability - and no, I wasn't one of the guards there - I did community pool where yelling at folks normally stops them cold from stupid acts - well, works for 2-4 year olds). Needless to say, from then on, if I had to ever use the bathroom, kids came back to their ankles til they were good swimmers.

VA is the only state in the union where felonies are forever. The 5 year statute for most things (with 10 for a few things, and unlimited for murder) follows most state norms.
Evidence gets old, witnesses get cloudy memories, etc...there were original reasons before we got tech and DNA, etc...
