Scott Jennings: I'll run for Mitch McConnell's old Senate seat in 2026 if Trump wants me to.

CNN political contributor Scott Jennings suggested that he may run for Sen. Mitch McConnell's seat if President Trump asks him.

When asked on Real America's Voice on Wednesday if he was considering running for McConnell's Senate seat next year since the senator isn't seeking reelection, Jennings said, "Yeah, I haven't made any announcements about that," Mediaite reported.

"There's three people in the race, I know them all, like them all, I've been in and out of their lives in varying degrees over the years. I've supported them all in various endeavors, so I'm confident the seat will remain Republican."

Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky., former Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron, and businessman Nate Morris are all running for McConnell's Senate seat.

"I do think politics is a team sport, and I think Trump's the head coach," also said Jennings, who has for months teased a run. "And eventually he's gonna weigh in on this, and my political advice would be to anybody, you know, if he calls a play, we're gonna have to run it. I wouldn't want to run against the president in Kentucky. So, I don't really have any announcement about it at the moment."

An immigrant admitted to attempting to have sex with an underaged (15 year old) girl.

This is a crime. Even in Canada, it's still a crime.

For some people.

Because a Canadian judge decided not to convict this statutory rapist because doing so might put his immigration status in jeopardy.

So come to Canada, foreign pedophiles! Canada will give you preferable treatment so you can keep on molesting children while working on that visa!

O, Canada, you assholes.

@CollinRugg

Indian man in Canada who tried paying for s*x from a 15-year-old gets a conditional discharge simply because he's an immigrant and a conviction would "delay his citizenship."

Utter insanity. Canada is a joke.

According to Justice Paul Thomas O'Marra, treating 30-year-old Akashkumar Khant like a Canadian citizen is unfair because the conviction would unfairly impact his life.

"Mr. Khant is a permanent resident seeking Canadian citizenship and professional licensing," said O'Marra.

"A conviction would not only delay his citizenship by four years but could also prevent him from sponsoring his wife and obtaining his engineering licence."

"These immigration and professional consequences are far more severe than those faced by (an offender in a similar previous case), who was a Canadian citizen with no such vulnerabilities."

"Courts have recognized that such consequences can justify a more lenient sentence, including a discharge."

"A conviction would lead to severe collateral consequences, such as jeopardizing his immigration status, delaying his citizenship, and preventing him from sponsoring his wife, which would likely result in their separation."

"These consequences would be disproportionate to the offence and would undermine his rehabilitative progress."

Communist pro-jihadism candidate for mayor Zohran Mamdani is responding to pressure about his support of "globalizing the intifada," meaning, bringing Muslims' endless wars on everyone to America (and everywhere else).

Here's his vow: He'll no longer say the words "globalize the intifada."

He also vows, however, to keep on supporting globalizing the intifada, just using slightly different words.

And he's only promising to stop using the words "globalize the intifada" through election season. After that, he's back to calling for the everlasting Islamic war on the world.

"It could have been a lot worse," said one attendee at a summit between Big Apple business leaders and Democrat mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani. It could also have gone a lot better, it seems.

After an hour, though, the meeting did achieve one thing. Mamdani agreed to "discourage" the use of the phrase "globalize the intifada," at least through the election.

Trump couldn't get cuts for taxpayer spending on the genital mutilation of children included in the rescission package, but RFKJr. is pushing a rule that will end the use of Medicare and Medicaid funds for this barbarity.

From the National Review:

The Department of Health and Human Services will soon begin the rule-making process to prohibit the federal government from directly funding sex-trait modifications for minors through Medicaid and the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP), National Review has learned.

The White House is in "the final stage of review for a new rule that would make it a condition of hospitals participating in Medicare or Medicaid that they not provide sex trait modifications to minors," according to an administration official. The prohibition will apply to hospitals that provide puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and gender-transition surgeries to minors.

The groundbreaking decision by the White House to use the power of the executive to ban federally funded gender-transition services for minors follows an unsuccessful attempt by congressional Republicans to ban federal funding for such practices through the budget reconciliation process. The Senate parliamentarian ruled that the legislative language included in the "One Big Beautiful Bill Act" did not clear the Byrd rule, prompting GOP lawmakers to spike the language from the final bill that passed earlier this month.

The Senate Judiciary Committee voted in favor of Trump lawyer Emil Bove's appointment to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals, and also Jean Pirro for US Attorney for DC, as rabidly feminine Democrats walked out in fit of more girlish OnlyProgs attention-seeking.

Note these now to go to the full Senate for a vote. But a committee okay usually means the full Senate will vote in favor.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved the nominations of former Trump attorney Emil Bove to the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and Jeanine Pirro to the U.S. attorney's office for Washington, D.C., as Democrats walked out.

Bove, who is the U.S. principal associate deputy attorney general, was approved by the committee for the judgeship nomination amid 900 former and current Department of Justice lawyers urging lawmakers to reject the nomination, The Hill news outlet reported.

Among the concerns is a DOJ whistleblower allegation that Bove urged agency lawyers to defy a court order regarding the Trump administration's controversial decision in March to deport El Salvadoran migrant Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

The Fiercely Heterosexual Gay Man Cory "Thpartacush" Booker went full estogenic. (Or oestrogenic, for our British readers.)

Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and the rest of his Democratic colleagues walked out after Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley cut off requests for continued debate and didn't let all Democrats speak on the Bove nomination.

"You are a good man," Booker said to Grassley. "You are a decent man, why are you doing this? What is Donald Trump saying to you that are making you do something which is violating the decorum of this committee, the rules of this committee, the decency and the respect that we have each other to at least hear each other out?"

"This is unjust. This is wrong. It is the further deterioration of this committee's integrity with a person like this. What are you afraid of?"

Speaking of gay black demagogues:

The Obamas staged a cringey little skit to dispel rumors that they've separated.

Michelle and Barack Obama finally addressed the divorce rumors that have been swirling for months, but not in a way that put anything to rest. Instead, the former first couple leaned into awkward banter and overly scripted sentimentality on Michelle's "IMO" podcast with her brother Craig Robinson, in what came off as a carefully orchestrated PR effort to remind the world that they're still a "happy couple."

From the start, the conversation felt more like damage control than casual family talk. "The rumor mill. It's my husband, y'all," Michelle said with a forced laugh, as Barack chimed in, "She took me back." Michelle shot back, "Now don't start," trying to keep the mood light. But the elephant in the room had already made itself known.

Robinson, acting as the bemused observer, leaned into the public speculation: "It's so nice to have you both in the same room together." Michelle responded, "I know, 'cause when we aren't, folks think we're divorced." No denial. Just a chuckle and a wink, as if simply appearing on camera together was enough to erase months of public scrutiny.

Then came the real giveaway: Craig's story from a trip to Wichita, Kansas. "You know, this podcast has made me quite popular," he said, adding that people come up to him all the time, which is hilarious since the podcast is officially a flop.

I'm unconvinced.

Speaking of rich jagoffs cheating on their spouses:

Andy Byron is the CEO of a company called "Astronomer." People online claim he's a billionaire. I don't know.

Apparently he was having an affair with his head of, of course, Human Resources, because Human Resources are destroyers of everything.

The cheating couple went to a Coldplay concert and Chris Martin posted video of them on the "kiss cam." Their chagrined reaction suggested to Martin that they were cheaters, which he went right ahead on to say.

Byron's wife dropped her married name from her social media profiles. Byron posted this snarkily-defiant non-apology:

andybyronapology.jpg

So I guess he's pretending he wasn't embracing a woman who is not his wife? We'll have to see how his "It Wasn't Me" strategy pays off, Cotton.

Ex-CNN Thumb Chris Cillizza and Bulwark sissy Jonathan V. Last say that Trump is a "chaotic evil" Dungeons and Dragons character and Mark Cuban is "lawful good."

29 Connected to discussion in last thread,

There is a reddit post showing the Butler shooting that adds weird commentary to "prove" it was staged. It is one of the most delusional things I have seen.

But I learned something new. You know how we all suspect CNN knew about the attempt in advance because they showed up to film? Well reddit think that proves that it was staged and CNN was in on the staging. Just a funny twist.

(I think CNN was there suspecting the VP announcement and to try to capture the VP nominee on his first major appearance, hoping to get some footage to embarrass him and derail Trump.)

61 Hilarious that the adultress was with HR, while on live TV with the CEO, having her boobies felt! Love this for them both!

In my one experience with HR, after I complained as a 32yr respected RN of many jobs in a large med center...a complaint about a new co-worker. Well...I became "part of the problem." Somehow. So I gave my two weeks notice, held my head high, and got the hell out of there with the RN I job shared with (who also complained).

A month later we hear that the person we were complaining about was "walked off the campus with security for stealing clients." Probably stole a stapler and files, too. She was worthless, foul &they found out the hard way and circled the drain.

My co-worker and I got to see karma! It was great and I laughed at the thought of her being escorted off to her car. Idiots. All they had to do was listen to two respected nurses. BUT NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I had MD's lined up to defend me and told them, nah, I'm done and it's all good.

So, don't go to HR unless you have heard they are fair. Mine was not.

I hope the CEO's wife divorces his grey coiffed ass for every penny. Then the HR person, forced to retire. They then file for unemployment.

I told the secretary, "I had no warning of this. Don't trust this man."

As he walked me out, I stepped into the meeting, told everybody, "He just fired me. Don't trust him. Good luck."

I heard a week or so later he'd been fired . . . by his own replacement. Meanwhile I'd found a new job I liked much better. (That place had put the "dys" in "dysfunctional.")

>>Boromir's having a big day on The Q. He might have hired a PR firm to astroturf for him.

In a market oversaturated with morally unblemished archetypes and safe, sanitized narratives, Boromir offers what every modern PR firm dreams of: Authenticity weaponized.

Let’s cut through the sentiment.
Gandalf? Unrelatable.
Aragorn? Too perfect.
Legolas? Elf-model syndrome, no growth arc, just hair and headshots.
But Boromir?
Boromir bleeds.

And that sells.

Your average viewer doesn’t see themselves in a ranger-king with divine blood or a navel-gazing hobbit dragging jewelry up a volcano.

They see themselves in a man under pressure.
A man with ambition, conflict, doubt.
A man who breaks, and then dies trying to put it right.

That’s a story.

From a brand positioning standpoint, he’s gold.

Responsibility. Authority. The crushing weight of paternal expectation and national survival.
You don’t date Boromir. You enlist under him.

He’s a cause, not a cuddle.

But Faramir?
Faramir listens.
Faramir reads.
Faramir looks at a broken woman like Éowyn and says,

“You are not a tool of war. You are worthy of peace.”

He’s not asserting.
He’s inviting.

Boromir is the storm.
Faramir is the shelter.

187 With Boromir, you get a six-month affair, heavy on passion, light on stability.

With Faramir, you get an autumn wedding and a library with high windows.

And that’s the dichotomy.

The girls say they want the knight.
But what they crave is the healer in armor.

Faramir doesn’t need to prove himself.
He just shows up.
Consistent. Kind. Unthreateningly competent.

That’s what gets you long-term ROI in modern romance markets.

So yes, Boromir dies in glory.
But Faramir lives in legacy.

And love?
Love doesn’t want glory.
Love wants quiet hands and a home that doesn’t smell like burning siege oil.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have to return some first editions of Numenórean poetry.

217 Wonderwall of Despair: An Evening with Oasis

I’m standing in a sea of denim.
Not tailored. Not raw Japanese selvedge. Just… denim.
Wrinkled. Acid-washed. Elasticized.
I can smell lager and whatever despair smells like when it’s been microwaved in plastic stadium cups.

We’re waiting for Oasis.
Not The Beatles.
Not Bowie.
Oasis.

A band whose entire sonic philosophy is “What if we took Lennon’s corpse and stuffed it with chewing gum and pub fights?”

A band built entirely on the idea that if you repeat the chorus enough times, the emptiness becomes meaning.

I am surrounded by men who have shouted “Liam is God” unironically and women with eyeliner applied like war paint, each person clutching onto nostalgia like it’s a blood-soaked pacifier.

“Tonight’s gonna be epic,” someone says.

No.

Zohran Mamdani's past comments are once again coming back to haunt his New York City mayoral campaign, as a resurfaced video reveals the socialist candidate floated the "abolition of private property."

"My platform is that every single person should have housing, and I think faced with these two options, the system has hundreds of thousands of people unhoused, right? For what?" Mamdani questioned in a resurfaced video that has been clipped and reposted across conservative social media.

"If there was any system that could guarantee each person housing, whether you call it the abolition of private property or you call it, you know, just a statewide housing guarantee, it is preferable to what is going on right now," Mamdani said.

Yeah every argument they give for why young people should vote at 16 you can ask them "well why not 13 then?" and they have no answer. The real reason they want these votes is that 16 year olds are dumb and easily manipulated to vote for nice sounding stupid crap.

298 Loudest show for me was Scorpions But it wasn't good sound. they played at arena with horrible acoustics. I was literally deaf for three days. And they sucked.

Judas Priest was really loud too, but at least the sound was better.

Best sound were bands like Exodus, Slayer, Death Angel and Testament in small venues.

Posted by: Pug Mahon, I Have Become Comfortably Lame at July 17, 2025 07:04 PM (0aYVJ)

299 Loudest band I ever heard was Judas Priest, Shea's Buffalo Theater, 1980.

My ears rang for a week. Could hardly hear at all the next 2 days. I kind of knew at the time I had permanently damaged my hearing. Hockey rink sound system in a theater.

Iron Maiden (with Paul DiAnno on vocals) opened that show and they absofuckinglutely KILLED. Jumpin' Jesus on a jackhammer, they were great. Priest was very good that night (if way too loud.) Maiden was transcendent.

You were raised right.

From over 1000 miles away in college, before the Internet, I could have gotten into some serious trouble with two "model agents." One from Revlon wanted me for eye ads. That one "might" have been legit and ok, but would have involved a trip. I figured Mama would say no.

The other guy asked me randomly after a physics class if I'd "model" for a friend of his. A lotta money. He wanted nude and I said no, oh, hell no, as I figured somehow my parents would see the "painting." Probably after the serial killer did me in. NOPE!

There were more stupid things I won't get into. I rarely dated at all before I met my future husband. A MD wanted to date me, was not yet divorced, and I said no to him as well. I ain't no fool.

I managed to behave (mostly). That inner Mama voice was strong.

>>This is the bombshell?

It came in a gold envelope.
Not metallic. Not tasteful. Just… gold.
Thick like a casino carpet and twice as loud.

The wax seal bore the impression of something that vaguely resembled a family crest, but more likely came from a QVC special.

It smelled like tanning spray and aggressive nostalgia.

I opened it.

The handwriting wasn’t handwriting.
It was Sharpie.
Black. Thick. Unapologetic.
Each letter capitalized as if being shouted across a country club buffet table.

“YOU’RE INCREDIBLE. I MEAN REALLY. EVERYBODY’S TALKING ABOUT IT.”

A bawdy letter, in theory.
But not erotic.

332 Eroticism is subtle.
Eroticism is restraint.
This was... branding.

He described his imagined conquests with the enthusiasm of a man narrating his own steak order.
Not sensual. Transactional.
Not poetry. PowerPoint.
He compared anatomy to real estate:

“LIKE MAR-A-LAGO, BUT HOTTER.”

He mentioned hands.
A lot.

Then came the climax, not his, but the letter’s:

“NOBODY KISSES LIKE ME. NOBODY. PEOPLE TELL ME THIS. EVERYBODY DOES.”

I paused.

Not out of arousal.
Out of something more… existential.

Massive. Over half the page.
The ink bled through.
Like it was trying to escape.

This wasn’t a bawdy letter.
