Outstanding: James Comey's Incompetent Daughter Maurene Fired from the DOJ

Buh-bye.

Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI director James Comey, was fired Wednesday from her job as a prosecutor in the Manhattan U.S. attorney's office, a Justice Department official confirmed to Fox News.

Comey was informed of her termination on Wednesday by the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys, the official said.

She worked most recently on the prosecution of Sean "Diddy" Combs and previously prosecuted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

I wonder if they suspect her of leaking. See the sidebar for Mark Halperin's report that one of the "big three" newspapers (I assume this means the NYT, the WaPo, or WSJ) is about to drop a major article about Trump's relationship with Epstein.

I have no idea, of course. Just looking at two things happening at about the same time and wondering if they're connected.

The reason for her firing as senior trial counsel at the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York was not immediately clear.

The U.S. Attorney's Office did not immediately respond to a call from Fox News Digital.

Here's a reason: Her communist father launched a coup against the duly elected president of the United States and the treasonous apple doesn't fall far from the insurrectionist tree.

If a career prosecutor can be fired without reason, fear may seep into the decisions of those who remain. Do not let that happen," she wrote. "Fear is the tool of a tyrant, wielded to suppress independent thought. Instead of fear, let this moment fuel the fire that already burns at the heart of this place. If you don't remember this case...

Breonna was in some sort of romantic relationship with a local organized crime boss who had hid a corpse in her car at one point.

The cops got a tip Mr Big was spending the night with her and went to arrest him.

Breonna was actually having a one night stand with some rando who was armed. When the police showed up he fired at them. In the return fire Breonna was killed.

How the hell her death is wrong doing on the cops part is a mystery.

334 TJM,

I found this a informative video about how Grand Prix was filmed. Cutting edge stuff.
https://youtu.be/8nX7rQR6L-Q

Good quality stream of Grand Prix on YouTube (watched it last night).
https://youtu.be/CmTTnoTUHhU

I found it to be a solid film. That it has overture, whose main theme is more that evocative of the one from Lawrence of Arabia, signals Frankenheimer thought he had epic film on his hands. I agree. The racing sequences are still exhilarating to watch and hold their own against Ford versus Ferrari and more recently F1. Overall, the movie is a product of its time and styles and that is a good thing. The acting is first rate as is the directing and the technical aspects of the movie. It was so interesting to see how different this movie was than The Train in every detail. This Frankenheimer guy did some really great work.

Rating: more than double plus good

339 I'm beginning to believe that the central conceit of The Matrix was correct. Not that we are all in some computer simulation but that humans cannot exist beyond a certain point of civilizational/societal development.

It may be that the late 90s is the best we can ever do and the cracks were showing even then.
Posted by: MAGA_Ken
=======
I doubt it. Most of the cracks are in simulation theory itself. Wankery to get scarce NSF funding because essentially the concepts have to have expensive funding to be 'tested'. Same with string theory (long futility period there) and other 'cute' ideas. The Good Book is a Scientific Textbook compared to some of that crap.

She worked for a black woman who rarely came to work but, when she did, would yell at everyone and yet couldn't be fired because she was a lesbian.

346 334 TJM,

Then the sad part hit, she died when her drunk boyfriend was driving the car and took a corner at 80, his telephone pole and she and one of her friends died. Of course, the boyfriend didn't die.

She certainly must've had a golden ticket in the movie business but all wasted.

I edit my reviews. All typos are my fault for not proofreading enough.

409 Trump statement, JusttheNews interview....

"Unprompted, Trump then volunteered on his own that a special prosecutor – if one is appointed by Justice – to look at weaponization could also delve into "anything credible" on Jeffrey Epstein and his files to make sure Americans have a full accounting.

“I think they could look at all of it. It's all the same scam. They could look at this Jeffrey Epstein hoax also, because that's the same stuff that's all put out by Democrats,” Trump said, when asked what he’d most like to see the FBI investigate.

When pressed whether he was comfortable with a special prosecutor on weaponization also looking at Epstein, he answered, “They've already looked at it, and they are looking at it, and I think all they have to do is put out anything credible.”"

412 Peak Tilly is in the little Richard Dreyfuss movie Let It Ride. Very enjoyable film and she's hotter than Vulcan's forge.

That movie had a lot of future stars--young Cynthia Nixon, Bruno Kirby, David Johanson, and Robby Coltrane.

413 I think he's just old and tired and realizes he's not up to a tour any more. I like a lot of his music, and have seen him a couple times, he's good live. But 80 years old man, rest on your laurels.

I was listening to a nearby former pirate (now legit) rock and blues radio station that plays great music that never got much commercial airplay back in the day.

On comes this song and I recognize as Paul McCartney singing -- but the guitar chords and riff are a total rip off of "Fly Like An Eagle."

I'm thinking WTH? How did he get away with copying that?

After some interwebz research of course I learned that it was another Steve Miller Band song -- "My Dark Hour" -- only with McCartney on vocals.

414 Nobody ever called that fucker "The Space Cowboy" nor "The Ganster of Love". Can't stand TSMB.
I got drug to one of their concerts back in the 90's. Easily in the worst 3 shows I've ever been to. Boring is an understatement.

The only piece that I liked TSMB was Motherless Children. I was pretty high at the time.

The rest of his stuff was shit.

___

The democrats put out the hoax that Epstein's clients included Bill Clinton and that he flew on Lolita express and visited Epstein's island and Epstein has a painting of Clinton wearing a dress? I suppose Obama might have an incentive.

418 Trump tried to contain it. That failed, so he is now moving to plan B, which is discredit it. It's a tired playbook. Ask him a question he doesn't like and he asks you who you work for. He's a destroyer. That's all he does.

What's the hoax? What is Trump saying is hoaxy about the story? Saying it's a hoax is admitting that it's harmful to Trump. So harmful that he has to destroy it. So harmful that it's plausible someone would take the risk of creating it in the first place. He fired the prosecutor so he could discredit the report.

I'm sure Trump was involved in getting Epstein the sweetheart deal he got in the Florida. Trump buddies, Dershowitz and Acosta were directly involved in that deal (which allowed Epstein to continue raping children for another 15 years). Trump would later make Acosta his Labor Secretary. Dershowitz and Trump remained friends.

Trump is hosed. He's made a fool of all of you. If you are still carrying his water, you have been duped and I feel sorry for you. I feel sorry for what he did to you. You used to be the party of family values, decorum, fiscal responsibility, and you used to pretend to care about honesty. Trump fucked you on all of it.

419 Just saw that Dershow podcast by Alan Dershowitz, from 3 days ago?, in which he says no elected official is named on any list or documents related to Epstein. He says the press probably could get these documents by suing, but all the names have been blacked out by a judge.
