Polls Are Made for Strippers and Democrat Whores: Approval of Congressional Democrats Now at 19%
Democrats are increasingly toxic to everyone, including their own pathetic insurrectionist voters.
According to Axios, braindead Democrat voters want are demanding that Democrat congressmen allow themselves to be shot to prove they're doing something. No comment.
How low can they go? The job approval rating for congressional Democrats has plunged to another all-time low, with fewer than 2 in 10 Americans happy with their work on Capitol Hill. Only 19% of registered voters approve of the way Democrats in Congress are handling their job, a Quinnipiac University Poll released Wednesday found. The dismal rating for congressional Dems is the lowest ever recorded by the pollster, which first began asking the question in 2009. Even among Democratic voters, a majority (52%) disapprove of congressional Democrats, with only 39% satisfied. "If the approval numbers for Republicans are bad ... then the approval numbers for Democrats can be characterized as flat out terrible," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said in a statement. Overall, one-third of voters (33%) approve of the way the Republicans in Congress are handling their job, while 62% disapprove. Among Republican voters, 77% approve of the job GOP members have done in Congress, while only 20% disapprove. ... Confidence in Democratic congressional leadership plummeted to an all-time low of 25% in April, according to a Gallup poll. Among younger Americans -- those under 30 -- just 23% approve of congressional Democrats, according to a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics survey from April.
Per CNN's polling: Democrats were at +7 on the congressional generic ballot in 2005 and 2017. The following years, they gained seats in the midterms. But now they're only at +2 (per CNN's poll; RCP's average of all polls has it at 0.3%.

If they were, they'd have lifeboats, gardening kits, first aid kits, weapons, stores of fresh water... they'd know how to bow hunt and catch fish. They would have forced the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts to go back to wilderness survival and they'd all be in it. They wouldn't waste classroom time on Self-Esteem and Why Your White Playmates Are Bad; they'd insist on teaching swimming, physical fitness, map-making, stuff like that.

I don't see him going anywhere. He's very senior and been a fixture in the Senate for decades. So much is based on seniority. He's also tied into the mega-rich NY donors and excels at fundraising. He'll have the Senate seat for as long as he wants it.
The guy is 75 years old, though, and doesn't look to be in the greatest shape. He eats raw hamburgers. So he won't be in the Senate forever.

I am becoming more and more convinced that the powers that be are manipulating the weather to make their predictions come through.
I think this is three things:
1) More press coverage of weather events. Consider did the '98 floods in TX generate press coverage like the '25 ones did? I don't remember it...
2) Willful incompetence - recent CA fires have been damaging because the CA government has shown no interesting in preventing them
3) More construction in weather sensitive areas - in the old days people didn't build McMansions on the beach in areas that regularly get hurricanes...

Where did idea of man made climate change come from? In the 1960's there was a popular book called The Population Bomb written by Paul Ehrlich. The book postulated that mass starvation would wipe out much of humanity by the 1980s. Clearly that didn't happen. Ehrlich needed a new Malthusian boogieman to dunn humanity with. The thing he came up with was Man made global warming - which would wipe out humanity by the 2020's.

This update may have been shared already by one of the kind Hordelings who've kept in touch with me over the last week - but my sweet mother died on Monday at about noon.
On Sunday, I asked for Horde prayers because she was having seizures and we couldn't get the meds right to stop them. Not 15 minutes later, the seizures stopped and she rested comfortably until she quietly took her last breath.
I'd been with her from 2:30-9:30 am Monday and my brother was with her when she died. All her closest family were able to visit in the last 2 days. We miss her but we know she's with the Lord.
I cannot thank you enough for your prayers and support, dear Horde. I probably won't be around to respond to any comments but please know that I love and appreciate y'all.

This update may have been shared already by one of the kind Hordelings who've kept in touch with me over the last week - but my sweet mother died on Monday at about noon.
On Sunday, I asked for Horde prayers because she was having seizures and we couldn't get the meds right to stop them. Not 15 minutes later, the seizures stopped and she rested comfortably until she quietly took her last breath.
I'd been with her from 2:30-9:30 am Monday and my brother was with her when she died. All her closest family were able to visit in the last 2 days. We miss her but we know she's with the Lord. . . .

While a large portion of her constituents are criminals themselves, as I mentioned above there are some nice areas that care about things like crime. If she ever faced a credible primary challenger -- which she won't until the machine wants her to - she would probably lose.

I honestly think the mass media has seen its better days. NYT, WaPo, WSJ, cable news apart from Fox, and even broadcast network viewers/readers are literally dying off. Even the ideological mags are in critical care--NR, New Republic, Atlantic, and the reason is generational replacement. The centralized media is being replaced by personalized media for younger voters than the Boomers and the oldest Gen X.
So, more echo chambers for the ideological, more ignoring and disengagement from the news for other voters.

If I was running a primary campaign against Schumer from the Dem side, I would not focus on the state but rather the impact that his Senate leadership was doing to his home state.
Even given bad polling, 19 percent approval is a terrible number and the repeated alleged failures of Schumer to stop Thune and Co might actually prove a wedge enough to make activist types consider the challenger to 'protect NY Dem interests' versus the old has been Schumer.
You would need a good candidate with excellent funding potential (national or perhaps self) and an organization of far left activists committed to 'fixing the Dem party by going further left.)
At a certain point, unchallenged pols for years have atrophied street operations and they tend to collect barnacles in their political operations of lazy, dull, sinecures for party hacks rather than challengers.

I like grape nuts, but yeah they are a lot better when warmed up. Back in the 90s my brother Joel and I went shopping and picked up some Uncle Sam cereal. It was pretty cheap, and seemed like good stuff.
It was made up of bolts, springs, rocks, and inedible seeds. A spoon full of that stuff would fill your stomach for a day, assuming you could chew any of it. It was like Lembas, we eventually threw the box away 3/4 full because it was basically inedible.

If you have a mutually self reliance community of preppers, then probably.
If you hoard like a squirrel on a bunch of nuts, a lot of evil squirrels with no fucks to give will take those nuts from you by force and then eat them after killing you to do so.
One can live like a wildman in the woods fearing every stranger but probably sustain that. If you have a fixed abode with the comforts of civilization, you best have a neighborly support mechanism to keep it from marauders. People have to sleep, produce food, use the outhouse, etc. sometimes. And the marauders will usually strike at those vulnerable times--so ya gotta have backup.

What bothers me about cereal is that its so sugary, even the supposedly not sugared stuff. Wheat Chex has like 9 grams of sugar per serving. Cheerios is really low, but multi grain is sugary. Bran flakes has a lot of sugar.
ITs hard to find cereal without a lot of added sugar, but some stand out. Shredded wheat only has one ingredient: WHEAT. Cheerios is oats and little else. Crispix is a good one, Corn Chex is low on sugar.

All politicians are flawed and most of them have virtues (as far as electability), so a campaign minimizes the flaws in a candidate and packages it more on prospective than retrospective voting. Like Trump's message, "vote for me, what have you got to lose?" to minorities.
I could see her taking out Schumer. Or losing badly. The magic there in primaries are the respective campaign team as long as the candidate meets the plausibility test.
