Polls Are Made for Strippers and Democrat Whores: Approval of Congressional Democrats Now at 19%

Democrats are increasingly toxic to everyone, including their own pathetic insurrectionist voters.

How low can they go?

The job approval rating for congressional Democrats has plunged to another all-time low, with fewer than 2 in 10 Americans happy with their work on Capitol Hill.

Only 19% of registered voters approve of the way Democrats in Congress are handling their job, a Quinnipiac University Poll released Wednesday found.

The dismal rating for congressional Dems is the lowest ever recorded by the pollster, which first began asking the question in 2009.

Even among Democratic voters, a majority (52%) disapprove of congressional Democrats, with only 39% satisfied.

"If the approval numbers for Republicans are bad ... then the approval numbers for Democrats can be characterized as flat out terrible," Quinnipiac University Polling Analyst Tim Malloy said in a statement.

Overall, one-third of voters (33%) approve of the way the Republicans in Congress are handling their job, while 62% disapprove.

Among Republican voters, 77% approve of the job GOP members have done in Congress, while only 20% disapprove.

...

Confidence in Democratic congressional leadership plummeted to an all-time low of 25% in April, according to a Gallup poll.

Among younger Americans -- those under 30 -- just 23% approve of congressional Democrats, according to a Harvard Kennedy School Institute of Politics survey from April.

According to Axios, braindead Democrat voters want are demanding that Democrat congressmen allow themselves to be shot to prove they're doing something.

2026 Generic Congressional Ballot Poll

🔴 Republicans: 48% (+1)
🔵 Democrats: 47%

EchelonInsights (B+) | 7/10-14

Per CNN's polling: Democrats were at +7 on the congressional generic ballot in 2005 and 2017. The following years, they gained seats in the midterms.

But now they're only at +2 (per CNN's poll; RCP's average of all polls has it at 0.3%.

More bad news from CNN: Americans are no longer panicking about "climate change." Those "greatly worried about climate change" has fallen from 46% to 40%, back where it was in 2000.

In addition, in 2006, 38% "frequently worried" about being the victim of a climate change catastrophe. That number is down to 32%.

They don’t do purity tests at the ballot box the way people on the right do. They hold their nose and vote for the DINO because they know long term they achieve their goals by staying unified. A DINO is still better than a RINO to advance communism.

They get the long term play. People on the right, not so much. Anyone not 100% pure is tossed aside.

It still boggles my mind that the number is that high. Are there really 32% of people in the country -- about a hundred million people -- that are frequently worried about being a "victim" (whatever that means) of a climate change "catastrophe" (whatever that is)?

There are things to be legitimately worried about. Things like cancer, accidents, communists, and finding a dick on the girl you drunkenly brought home last night while the little Uke midget spanks off in your closet. Climate "catastrophes" ain't one of them.

Senate races usually gets one or two surprises every election cycle. Someone thought not to be in trouble suddenly draws a tough opponent or gets mired down as out of touch. Schumer would probably win a general election against a GOP candidate but not necessarily a party primary against a new comer. Mamdani winning NYC will give a boost to the yute and radical wing and a loss to the older establishment types. Same as Hakeem facing a possible primary challenge in NY.

Primaries are always opaque unless you are an insider to one party or another. Inexplicable wins and losses occur because the voting for such is based more on party activists than the general public.

And yet people still cling to this as gospel truth. How many times does an "expert" have to be shown not only to be wrong but an outright liar before they cease to be an "expert" and lose credibility? This isn't science, it's religion.

Greshams Law. The ease of entry due to technology for bad polling have obliterated the good polls. Media has pushed really poorly done polls for decades including Fox who has a left wing former Dem staffer running their ops since Obama. As you say, poll fatigue has set in because they do these polls ALL the time and cover them as if they are real news.

They aren't--polls are purely manufactured to fill news space and the need for an overarching narrative for their viewers/readers to believe they are well informed. Cell phones and pollster dishonesty have killed trust for casual observers of polling and even here, you can see the age gap in those that still believe in polling magic and those that ridicule them.

Even the ideological mags are in critical care--NR, New Republic, Atlantic, and the reason is generational replacement. The centralized media is being replaced by personalized media for younger voters than the Boomers and the oldest Gen X.

So, more echo chambers for the ideological, more ignoring and disengagement from the news for other voters.

285 In immigration news, there are two things that have the left horrified--but that they can't make too much noise about, lest the make Americans too aware of what has been going on before:

1) The IRS has almost completed a stream-lined system of SSN checks that will mass process requests from ICE and return results of last known address, etc., within minutes to hours. Via spreadsheet! Searchable, sortable spreadsheets!
Previously, a request like that would often require a court order and, even without, would take weeks to receive a response to get an outdated hard copy.

2) Medicare is now also turning over data to ICE

It's insane how the inefficiency and opaqueness of the bureaucracy was exploited--encouraged and protected!-- to ensure massive illegal immigration.

I assume Grape Nuts were the small clumps of bran cereals which didn't end up as flakes. That's all that was in the box, these tiny nuggets of cereal. Put a bit in a bowl, add milk, wait a week until it softened. Enjoy.

It's a real epistemological crisis, and it's a good thing. You have always been the final arbiter of what you accept as true or false. You have always had the duty and responsibility to decide if someone else is lying or not before acting on anything they say. It is your own onus to determine if a statement comports with reality or not. Nullis in verbum. But there are professional midwits all over from media to government to academia who really, truly, never were aware of this fact. They determine the truth value of a statement purely by which mouth it came out of and nothing else.

And now they're shocked that Truth People are blatantly and casually telling them demonstrative lies.

Posted by: ... at July 17, 2025 02:17 PM (Qr870)

328 If I was running a primary campaign against Schumer from the Dem side, I would not focus on the state but rather the impact that his Senate leadership was doing to his home state.

Even given bad polling, 19 percent approval is a terrible number and the repeated alleged failures of Schumer to stop Thune and Co might actually prove a wedge enough to make activist types consider the challenger to 'protect NY Dem interests' versus the old has been Schumer.

You would need a good candidate with excellent funding potential (national or perhaps self) and an organization of far left activists committed to 'fixing the Dem party by going further left.)

At a certain point, unchallenged pols for years have atrophied street operations and they tend to collect barnacles in their political operations of lazy, dull, sinecures for party hacks rather than challengers.

I would think Schumer would be vulnerable to such a challenge if the primary was nationalized by the challenger to point out his 'failures' as party leader and then point to consequences due to that failure in NY (lost blue jobs, etc.).

If you have a mutually self reliance community of preppers, then probably.

If you hoard like a squirrel on a bunch of nuts, a lot of evil squirrels with no fucks to give will take those nuts from you by force and then eat them after killing you to do so.

One can live like a wildman in the woods fearing every stranger but probably sustain that. If you have a fixed abode with the comforts of civilization, you best have a neighborly support mechanism to keep it from marauders. People have to sleep, produce food, use the outhouse, etc. sometimes. And the marauders will usually strike at those vulnerable times--so ya gotta have backup.

He stole their process and recipe to make his own flakes, but that happens a lot in the food business. The more interesting story is that Kellog treated his younger brother as a retard because he needed glasses and couldn't see well enough to learn in school (see the portrayal in Road to Wellville). His not at all dumb brother took over the company and made the cereal business out it, letting his somewhat crazy brother run the sanitarium.

382 One of AOC's notable blunders was convincing Amazon NOT to put a big distribution center in her district. Huge graft to the politicians gone.
Posted by: Oldcat
======
Possibly but it requires someone to actually put that in front of her less than interested voters in the district. All politicians are flawed and most of them have virtues (as far as electability), so a campaign minimizes the flaws in a candidate and packages it more on prospective than retrospective voting. Like Trump's message, "vote for me, what have you got to lose?" to minorities.

I could see her taking out Schumer. Or losing badly. The magic there in primaries are the respective campaign team as long as the candidate meets the plausibility test.

396 It's a real epistemological crisis, and it's a good thing.
