Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Trump: Don't Fall For the Epstein "Hoax"While Trump isn't clear in his message -- and he needs to be clear, because this is big shakes -- I'm pretty sure when he calls this a "hoax and scam" he specifically means the media's/Democrats' (but I repeat myself, as usual) to suggest that the reason the Epstein "list" isn't being produced is because he's on it. I think that's what he means by "don't fall for the hoax." Not that there was a pedophile named Jeffrey Epstein, but that he's one of the clients. Or that there's a conspiracy in the Trump administration to cover up for Jeffrey Epstein and his "clients." But he keeps just saying that his supporters are "falling for this hoax" without making it clear that the hoax he means is the claim that he's on "the list." If you read his comments in that way, they're no so objectionable. Because serious: Trump is not a "client" of Epstein's. The Democrats made up a whole bullshit story about him being a RUSSIAN FUCKING AGENT. If there were any evidence suggesting that Trump was cozying up to Epstein to have sex with underaged girls, for crying out loud, they would have released all the evidence in 2015. MXMNews:As you can see, he's putting this in the worst possible way, making it sound like he's attacking his supporters for believing him when he himself pushed the Epstein story. So if I'm right and he's attacking only the "hoax" that he's connected to the scandal, then he has to speak a lot more clearly on that point, rather than sounding like he's attacking his supporters for being gullible conspiracy theorists. Otherwise he's going to take a massive hit in support. Loyal supporters will not stand being called fools for having believed Trump in the first place. I don't think he means that, but he sure keeps sounding like he means that. Update: Christopher R. Taylor wrote: Based on that, it sounds like he's talking about Elon Musk, who accused Trump of being "on the list." So his anger might be over Musk putting that disinformation out there, and so many supporters/Republicans buying into it.

yup. I'm not so bothered because I always knew he was an inveterate bullshitter. This is just standard Trump to me. Yeah, none of us believe Trump is incriminated by any evidence relating to Epstein. And that's a position that would be helped by more, not less, disclosure. The question Trump needs to answer is what's the case for not just disclosing anything and everything the government has on Epstein. He isn't doing that, which just fuels speculation. He's encouraging the hoax he's complaining about.

Trump has at least a decent reason for everything he says and does. It's been this way from the start and sometimes it doesn't become clear until weeks or months later.
At the moment the worst stupidest thing he's probably ever done is push the dopey vaccine but even with that he had rock solid reasons and put himself in a good position in terms of gamesmanship. First of all you couldnt be politically "against" creating a vaccine because that would be dumb and you would have to explain to everyone that you can't really do one and by the time you're explaining all that you are losing bigtime. "Trump doesn't want a cure!!!!" So he took ownership of it. Overall it at least made sense. So whatever he is doing here makes sense somewhere and like I said it would be great if he's just seeing if he can get all the Democrats to suddenly switch sides and demand Epstein answers. That is on the table here. Posted by: ... at July 16, 2025 01:20 PM (Qr870) 48

Posted by: Maroon at July 16, 2025 01:16 PM (7GSRh) Beyond FBI evidence tampering, potential for witness mistakes and/or self-serving statements, and various politicization of any remaining evidence (re: unequal disclosure of R vs D disclosure)? Even pedo clients are afforded due process, and such accusations, if falsely or politically made, can end a person's career, family, or life. Trump could have or should have foreseen such, and I am inclined to allow some leeway for protection of the innocent. If there is evidence to charge crimes, charge away. Posted by: Comrade Flounder, Disinformation Demon at July 16, 2025 01:21 PM (i24o9) 54
There is a theory going around that the client information has been hopelessly corrupted and falsified by the Biden era DOJ with names removed and new names put in, potentially even Trump. Basically they made it a poison pill: you cannot release this without damaging innocent people like yourself.
Now as Zombie put it, I don't buy Trump as a short eyes, he's only ever dated women in their 30s or later and clearly prefers grown women like the rest of us. There has never even been a hint that he likes kids, the way Biden blatantly showed he did. But he is handling this horribly, almost totally lacking his usual skill and sense of the American people's mood. Trying to make it go away with a stupid name "Jeffrey Epstein Hoax" and attacking his own base reads like something a lame SNL Trump sketch would do. There is already an FOIA request going through about the Epstein files. The last update on the request - after the AG said there was nothing to release - was that the information was still being investigated.
I see two possibilities: 1) The information isn't reliable enough to prove a court case against any of Epstein's clients. 2) There is an investigation into how the data was corrupted - and who did it. That one may result in court cases. Of course, there's also the power of AND. Posted by: Hour of the Wolf at July 16, 2025 01:27 PM (S/Y4j) 92

Either there's something there he didn't expect, like a name of someone he's close to and doesn't want to hurt, or the theory that the fbi/cia/doj added his name after the fact. This is a masterful use of the Streisand effect in the ongoing information war. How could Trump possibly bring more attention to the Epstein case than by declaring it to be a giant nothingburger? It's Sun Tzu - appear to be weak, when you are strong. All war is deception. All that good stuff. None of this means that all the Epstein clients "got away with it". It was to be expected when he started indulging the QAnon types years ago because he didn’t want to lose any votes. And I wouldn’t put it past Biden, Garland and Wray to have filled the Epstein files with every allegation against Trump and the FBI’s investigation and interviews. Could be Megyn Kelly was on to something when she suggested that the Biden administration had left some booby traps in the files so Trump couldn’t release them without taking a political hit himself. I think what's going on is that the Strong Form of the conspiracy, that Epstein was blackmailing politicians and working for the CIA, just isn't true, or at least there's no real evidence for it, and people have been pushing this idea (and believing it for themselves) for so long they just can't quit it. I don't know what's true here. It does seem to me unlikely that the Great Big Pedophile Conspiracy that people have been expecting/hoping for is increasingly unlikely to be true. That doesn't mean Epstein wasn't into underaged girls. Obviously he was. It just means that the -- I hate to use this term, but it applies -- "QAnon Theory of the Case" is probably false. Once Epstein was convicted, and sitting in jail, it was only a matter of time before somebody powerful who he could take down would have Epstein whacked. His only option, if he wanted to live, was to give the Feds what they want in exchange for his life.
The Feds would be crazy NOT to make that deal. But obviously Epstein would be killed by SOMEBODY if the deal was made public. Faking his death would be the only way for Epstein to come out alive. It's not a secret that the Feds fake someone's death for this purpose, on rare occasions. If THIS isn't the perfect situation where they would do this, I don't know what is. Just to be really clear, here is the exact quote by the reporter and Bondi's response: Reporter: "The DOJ may be releasing the list of Jeffrey Epstein’s clients, will that really happen?" Bondi: "It's sitting on my desk right now to review. That’s been a directive by President Trump." A LOT of people have been parsing this way more closely than it deserves. Bondi didn't personally say "THE LIST" is sitting on my desk. The reporter asked about THE LIST. Bondi replied "IT is sitting on my desk," but as Ace says, she may be speaking loosely here. >>I don't know what's true here. It does seem to me unlikely that the Great Big Pedophile Conspiracy that people have been expecting/hoping for is increasingly unlikely to be true. This can all be settled by releasing all of the search warrant affidavits in unredacted or lightly redacted form for all of Epstein's residences and devices along with the collected LE/IC dossier on Epstein. As I've mentioned before, I'll take a backseat only to Jack Straw in being the biggest Trump Stan, but the Epstein situation is becoming a bridge too far for a lot of people and it's a mess of the administrations making. I think what's going on is that the Strong Form of the conspiracy, that Epstein was blackmailing politicians and working for the CIA, just isn't true, or at least there's no real evidence for it, and people have been pushing this idea (and believing it for themselves) for so long they just can't quit it.
The problem with this, ace, is the 2008-ish plea deal, where Epstein walked away from a 50+ page indictment and went on with his life like nothing ever happened. The kind of deal no one gets, and that the prosecutor attributed to being told to lay off because Epstein was an IC asset. There's both direct and circumstantial evidence there that are hard to simply discount entirely. Posted by: bear with asymmetrical balls at July 16, 2025 01:38 PM (V9cMX) 175

Unfortunately, to get the Constitution, including the Bill of Rights ,enforced for common folks by courts means that you must have elite buy in.
No office is more elitist than that of judges and justices and to their experiences, just like in Merrie Olde England, they dislike commoners having weapons to defend themselves because inevitably some will misuse them. (Elites do too but real or pseudo aristos never believe the same rules apply to them as others). The NRA has been widely criticized for decades because their emphasis was always on the political process rather than the legal one. That is because ultimately your rights depend on a political system willing to enforce them; not judicial. The judiciary almost always is pro institution and anti disfavored individuals which means the Bill of Rights has become swiss cheese where the Black Robes giveth but more often taketh away rights under the guise of legal reasoning. You want more rights, then you fight within the political system including states Think about what you just said. There is no law or combinations of laws from the political system that can keep "elites" from doing what ever they want. We're going to find that beneath the Epstein plot is something far more sinister- a plot that involves hacking Russian satellites and deploying space lasers to destroy the world's Bitcoin whatever-it-is and then drilling a hole to the center of the Earth into which a hijacked nuclear weapon is dropped and detonated causing every volcano on Earth to explode with red hot liquor MAGMA

Just noticed this on an Amazon order page:
"This item typically ships from a warehouse that is closer than average to you. On average, the shipping of an item from a closer warehouse emits less carbon compared to items shipped from farther away." Aside from the virtue signaling, it makes no sense. So what if the final leg from a closer warehouse emits less carbon? It still had to travel the same total distance from its point of manufacture. I just don’t think Trump cares one bit about legal standards or due process or the FBI enough to sacrifice his own credibility.
The main offender is now dead, who is he looking out for now? There’s obviously some element with this case that he thinks is better to be buried. I think he’d be better off just getting it all out there and the story will be gone a few days later. Posted by: Maroon at July 16, 2025 01:43 PM (7GSRh) 215

Posted by: kallisto at July 16, 2025 01:36 PM (ti4XF) As Ace pointed out, FBI perpetrated a coup for Democrats based on entirely fabricated evidence (in so many words). Four years of Biden nuked the public trust in institutions. Trump did run on restoring this trust. I don't feel like he's doing a great job on this issue so far. As a supporter, that's my opinion.
You can argue that defunding some of those institutions is a start, but that's not really the same as holding individuals accountable. Posted by: Grudge Harbor at July 16, 2025 01:44 PM (4DY5T) 225

This is exactly why republicans lose - there is so much Trump is doing that is positive, but there is a maniacal focus on a years old story whose main principle is dead, that if there was anything damaging to republicans it would have been released already, and doesn't have any relevance to the economy, resetting the global economy by tariffs, reversing immigration, reversing trans madness, and the whole list.
So I see a whole bunch of republicans shooting themselves in the foot, and it is not the people who are turned off by this weird, old case that are at risk at wandering away, it is the mass of population outside the Twitterverse that doesn't care. Let's pretend there really was no big conspiracy here.
Epstein went from a teacher to running a major hedge fund in a few years because he's a financial genius and made friends with Lex Wexner. He sets up some places state side to molest kids but eventually moves to some little island to do it, again just him, Wexner and Maxwell and a guest appearance from Prince Andrew. How does Prince Andrew get involved with this? How does Epstein convince all these rich and powerful people to fly to his island to, uh, just hang out? How do the AGs of NYS, FL, and USVI all ignore the story when busting Epstein would launch their careers? Why do the Epstein girls list other people molesting them? Why did Wray destroy the evidence he recovered from the island? Why weren't the assistants on the island arrested? Why did the FBI ignore Maxwell hiding in NH until Trump forced their hands? Genuinely asking. I have no memory of actual evidence being offered, just people speculating (reasonably) about what they thought the situation might be. A guy that gave Trump $500 million for his campaign and was knee deep in government secrets is saying Trump was involved with Epstein
I know that you're just an agitator but let's address this unsourced, unsupported claim: We know that Trump was "involved" with Epstein, they ran in the same circles and were at events together. Trump borrowed one of Epstein's jets to fly to New York from Florida, for example, because that's one of the inexplicable things super rich people do. For them, its like borrowing the pickup to move something. We also know that this is the extent of Trump's "involvement" with Epstein, because we have proof that he kicked Epstein out of his clubs, tipped the FBI off about the man, and the documentation we've seen proves he never was one of Epstein's clients or went to any of his nasty parties at the island or ranch. Many of the girls are still alive. Shit, apparently several swore out affidavits in the civil trial with Dershowitz identifying men who they claimed they were trafficked to.
You would THINK it would be pretty easy to, ya know, investigate this situation a bit. Have the FBI talk to the girls. Like they would do in any situation where someone is accused of a crime. If they wanted to. Posted by: Harry Paratestes ===== If you care to go to wikipedia Harry. They list over 20 cases pending against Epstein's estate by former trafficked victims. One is suing Ghislaine as well. So we can wait until their cases are adjudicated which gives firmer evidence than anything that the DoJ, FBI, or in particular, the CIA might release. Those victims are also empowered to sue just like those in Weinstein's case any 'john' that molested them. The fact that is not happening indicates that they probably cannot prove their cases against Johns, Giuffre tried to sue Dershowitz and ended up apologizing and admitting error. Such is likely for Gates, and other high profile Epstein associates like the Clintons. Moby Dick gives the answers that you seek. Posted by: whig at July 16, 2025 02:03 PM (ctrM5) 338

And even what counts as "underage:" varies from nation to nation, from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. In the US, it's 18 years old. In England, however the age of consent is a mere 16 years old. But in Japan, it's 20 years old. Etc. etc. etc. -- different in every country, and sometimes varies in jurisdictions within countries.
The end result is that what counts are "illegal" and thus "immoral" is a loosey-goosey "cultural construct." Men sexually around by pre-pubescent children and mentally ill perverts. But men attracted to 17-year-old girls? Especially fi you can't even tell if they're 17 or some other age? Not so rare. And not so morally repulsive, to most people's estimations. Some wold argue that "ephebopohilia:" is actually hardwired into the male brain -- not a perversion at all, but just a universal tendency, which should be suppressed, but isn't always successfully done. Anyway, the whole reason I'm saying all this is that this "scanda:" is just a way to smear Trump as a "pedophile," when in reality pedophilia isn't even what's happening here. Needless to say, Trump is neither a pedophile or an ephebophile, so it's all a moot point. Posted by: zombie at July 16, 2025 02:14 PM (pMi6S) 411

Or that there's a conspiracy in the Trump administration to cover up for Jeffrey Epstein and his "clients."
- It's not much of a conspiracy. They played up all the juicy info they had, and the influencers photo op happened. Obviously, the intent was going to be to show how uncooperative the FBI continues to be, given that much of that was stuff we'd already seen, *but with more redactions*. They promised to fix that. Then, months later *someone* leaked a summary of the DoJ's findings that sounded like the Deep State covering it all up, but when asked, Bondi agreed to its findings, and Trump's backing her. And shut up about it, everyone. So it's not in dispute that they've decided not to make any real effort to investigate the matter. The question is why. Jackstraw's been giving the most favorable guess, and how much weight that has I suppose depends on how much faith you have in Trump and his team. They appear to have nothing else to prosecute. I keep seeing the words “kiddie didler” posted here. The young women on Epstein’s plane and on his island mansion were between the ages of 15 and 18. Yes, below the age of consent but people need to stop making this sound like he had five-year-olds. He didn’t kidnap anyone unfortunately these young women were encouraged to go by their parents. The majority of them have moved on with their life and don’t appear to be willing to talk about their experiences with Epstein. And the only reason Trump keeps responding to this is because he gets asked by half a dozen different reporters every time he has a press conference. Today he was being asked the same shit in front of the prince of Bahrain during his Oval Office press conference. As Trump said Epstein is dead, Maxwell is in jail and any other victims. Don’t appear to want to move forward with prosecution. You have to wonder how many 16 or 17-year-olds even knew who these guys were. Clinton maybe.

I currently care very much about what Trump, Bondi, Patel, Bongino are/aren't saying. Posted by: The Central Scrutinizer at July 16, 2025 01:57 PM (KbCG3) ----- Yes, but so does the media, which was my point. Do you think that's a coincidence? If Trump wanted the story defused he would do it. He knows how, he's an old pro at roiling things up, and putting them to bed.
He is a rabble rouser at heart. And now he's just thrown gas on it. Ask yourself why. Posted by: ... at July 16, 2025 02:29 PM (Qr870) 464
"the Trump can do no wrong folks are having a bad week"
The problem lies in the other direction. The Trump is Hitler folks have effectively immunized Trump against legitimate criticism. I now automatically dismiss any complaint about Trump. Because it always ends the same - i waste an hour of my life digging deeper, only to discover SURPRISE! they've distorted what he said or misrepresented what he did - My tolerance of these people is coming to an end. And I think its a mistake to give them infinite respawns as they playtest how to enslave us. I confess that I dont understand our aversion to violence, so I shouldn't be the one to make that call, but I think we've taken it too far. Then don't lie online about embezzling through MAGA bot accounts [pretty clearly too] and Pulte.
Posted by: andycanuck ====== So bot nets are to blame for Trump? Powell is dead meat for not doing his job apart from lying to Congress. He did not raise rates when the Biden put the US economy into hyperinflation and did not cut them as required by Humphrey Hawkins when they are warranted. As a result of his management of the Fed, the Fed has lost billions of dollars on their balance sheets since the Biden junta came along plus sparked massive double digit inflation. AFAIK, Pulte is simply mentioning that Powell lied to Congress on the revamp (private elevator to dining, rooftop gardens, etc. which Powell denied to Congress were not in the revamp). Posted by: whig at July 16, 2025 02:33 PM (ctrM5) 467
Andycanuck, fwiw,
Pulte's statement. "The statement reads as follows: “I am asking Congress to investigate Chairman Jerome Powell, his political bias, and his deceptive Senate testimony, which is enough to be removed ‘for cause.’ Jerome Powell’s $2.5B in capitalizations of Building Renovation Scandal stinks to high heaven, and he lied when asked about the specifics before Congress. This is nothing short of malfeasance and is worthy of ‘for cause.'” "As Senator Cynthia Lummis said, ‘he [Chairman Powell] made a number of factually inaccurate statements to the Committee regarding the Fed’s plush private dining room and elevator, skylights, water features, and roof terrace,’ and that ‘this is typical of the mismanagament and ‘don’t bother me’ attitude that Chair Powell has always shown.'” “Chairman Powell needs to be investigated by Congress immediately". Pedophiles are sexually around be PRE-PUBESCENT children.
Ephebophiles are sexually around be PUBESCENT teenagers, who sexually mature, but still under the age of consent. There are actually three categories but yeah, it makes me feel skeevy all over to just research it again and I don't even want to find them now. But I wrote a blog post about this years ago, pedos like little kids, like pre-Tweens. I wish people would stop using that category so broadly. I think people who sexually chase teenagers as an adult are disturbing, especially younger teens, but they are a scale less horrifically evil than the actual pedos. As the father of a 17 year old daughter, I find them all equally disgusting. I will throw older men going after 18 year olds in the slightly less disturbing catagory. I've never been able to puzzle out why they killed Epstein but not Maxwell.
Posted by: Washington Nearsider, still gloating at July 16, 2025 02:39 PM (oSeBJ) 471
The bigger story here is that Epstein was blackmailing people who most likely did not want it to come out that they were having sex with girls under the age of 18.
I didn't want to have to work until I'm 67, but here we are. What's that old saying? Oh yeah. Life's a bitch. Posted by: rickb223 at July 16, 2025 02:45 PM (gdBb2) 472

Is there any real evidence at all that Epstein ever trafficked a girl to anyone other than himself?

Adrenochrome
Were any of these minors being killed and their adrenochrome being harvested? Or did that stop after PizzaGate was exposed? How many posters here believed that? This is such a laugh, Trump's minions falling all over themselves trying to convince us that Trump and Epstein were not best bros for decades. That Trump never called Epstein a terrific guy ( while simultaneously acknowledging he liked sex with minors!) and that he wasn't a frequent guest at Mar A Lago for at least 2 years AFTER his conviction for sex with minors. He was shunned by all Dems after his conviction but not by Trump. You all were certain that Epstein had been "Arkansaused,," by Clintons, but they are not the ones holding back the tapes (1000s of hours!) ADRENOCHROME !! "Those who suddenly appear with new monickers and keep changing their nics are the most suspect here along with sneering appeals to emotion rather than logic are suspect. Demagogues, in other words"
Please be careful with that. I've gone through 12 accounts on Insty, not because Im a troll, but because San Diego Mike and a few other crybullies are exploiting the Discus algorithm that shadowbans spam bots. Short version is if your history is public they will go in and mass report all your posts as spam, then rinse and repeat with a few sockpuppets and a month later is suddenly occurs to you that no one has called you an idiot for 21 days. That's because no one can see you, you've been talking to yourself for 3 weeks. LOL my turn lasted a bit longer before I noticed. And these are our own people doing this to us (Lanceman can vouch, he's the one who figured it out). But please don't confront Mike. I want him to remain relaxed and full of hope for the future. If President Trump's name was on Epstein's list, I'm pretty sure the Democrats under Biden would have brought that out and the TDS media would have been all over it. I don't think you're right, Ace. Just saying.

Hey just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Firefox. I'm not sure if this is a format issue or something to do with internet browser compatibility but I thought I'd post to let you know. The design and style look great though! Hope you get the problem solved soon. Cheers

I wish people would quit with the "if he was on the list the Democrats would have released it in 2015". No, they wouldn't - because too many of them are on that list as well, and they know there's no way to target this particular nuclear bomb. Either the whole list gets released unredacted or none of it. Either they all go down or no one does.

Life is full of things we might like but do not get because we understand its not right or wise to do so, and with children we make sure they are untouched and safe until old enough to make bad choices of their own.
Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at July 16, 2025 02:18 PM (dfIr7) I was barely 17yrs my freshman year of college. I had an American History teacher call in a peer (of similar age...I guess in 30's, both single). In front of me they both sighed that I was underage. Weird. I was not interested in either of them. I was just being me and not flirting in any way, but meeting him as required the begining of the semester. Had he put even on finger on me he'd have regretted it physically. I am told I have a honey badger aura. Today I could scream about it, and maybe with good reason. Back then I just moved on with my hippy dippy life and chalked it up to another weird thing. I did not consider filing charges, as I simply thought it was weird. I think the best thing President Trump could do now is ignore the issue or release it, as I said above, saying, "Ok, this is bad for many you love, but here it is! You asked for it!" And move on. He knows he is not involved. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at July 16, 2025 06:42 PM (6PCLE) Processing 0.05, elapsed 0.0568 seconds. |
