Bureau of Labor Statistics: Employment of American Citizens Increased by 2,000,000 Since January, While 530,000 Fewer Illegals Have Jobs

Real hope and change.

President Donald Trump is growing the nation's workforce by filling open jobs with native-born Americans, rather than importing more migrants to take such work, Bureau of Labor Statistics data reveals.

"Compared with the start of the year, foreign-born employment is down by over half a million workers and American-born employment is up by over two million," Breitbart News Economics Editor John Carney reported.

And while hundreds of thousands of native-born Americans are scoring jobs in Trump's economy, the all-important labor force participation rate rose from 61.4 percent to 61.8 percent, with the highest level ever of native-born Americans employed.

The Heritage Foundation's E.J. Antoni made a similar note, mainly that compared to former President Joe Biden's migrant economy -- where nearly all net job growth went to foreign-born workers -- Trump's economy is delivering nearly all net job growth to native-born Americans.

"What a difference a president makes: last Nov, the 12-month change in jobs among native-born Americans was -1.1 million but for Jun it was +1.7 million; truly remarkable..." Antoni wrote on X.

Without millions of illegals flooding into the country to make the cost of labor cheaper -- which is our corporate overclass's #1 top priority -- American workers finally are seeing real wage growth for the first time in decades.

Likely thanks to Trump's crackdown on illegal employment, "average hourly earnings for all employees on private nonfarm payrolls rose by 8 cents, or 0.2 percent, to $36.30 in June," the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported.

We are building towards a second Trump Miracle Economy.

Tariffs aren't inflationary, so that narrative fell apart fast.

Import pipelines can adjust to things like tariffs, so that is going to deaden effects.

Tariffs are on wholesale importer prices, not final retailer prices, so the impact was always going to be smaller to the consumer than the numbers implied.

90% of our food is made in the US, so most day to day purchases aren't going to be impacted by tariffs.

Yes, it was massively overblown.

With labour in such high demand, surely we'll get a $15 minimum wage at last. Or so my economic studies led me to believe.

Well, the 1% excise tax on remittances is also going to leave a mark, too

I saw an article that claimed that remittances are not actually helping the receiving country. it is more like welfare, crowding out actual earning jobs, and in a way it attracts all the industrious workers to the US where they work below standard wage rates, and screw over the job market here, as well. Oh, and the wages earned don't help the US very much, either since it all goes overseas.

Oh, and the wages earned don't help the US very much, either since it all goes overseas.

When Biden took over, his administration increased the tariffs, on certain goods it went up to 100% (like EVs).

It took governments illegalizing going outside your home for fear of the sniffles that killed the global economy, not increasing wholesale import prices on cheap Chinese crap.

And it goes to show - not every bishop is a good one b/c all of them are human.

That said, the Catholic hierarchy is struggling to find the line on current illegal immigration issues...as a Church, it has always been big on refugees (which is why it alone stepped up to help the South African refugees when all the other prevous resettling groups said the refugees were "too white"), but also sees the value in following laws (at least when those laws are not immoral, and national borders are not immoral)...so they haven't really found a message. And probably won't til America has either solved its illegals problem or quits trying to solve its illegals problem.

It doesn't help that the last Pope didn't believe in national borders at all so that has affected a lot of folks, since it's only been a few months of him being gone...

One of the immediate differences between free and command and control economies is that the former let individuals make decisions because no one can collect enough information to make the right decisions in a mass economy.

Command and control economies always try to simplify things so that one person can make these decisions.

And it never works.

Smart money is saying a rate drop of 50 basis points for the middle or end of July, though with the inflation dropping it might be later

What IS happening for sure is that the EU Central Bank and the City of London are having a terrible quarter since they have to either print their way into inflation, default on their debt, or borrow more US dollars at this horrible rate which will destroy them economically.

Oh, and supposedly Powell and Bessent have lunch every week.

The administration needs to cancel all those EBT/Debit cards the illegals were given. The debit cards were "automatically refilled" monthly regardless of the balance.

Some illegals had/have cards with 10's of thousands of dollars on them.

I really don't get the outrage about this one. Mattel makes like 500 different Barbies. If there's a market for little girls who have type 1 diabetes and who feel a little better about themselves if they have a doll like them, I think it's great.

Type 1 diabetes is entirely a genetic disorder that has nothing to do with your diet. You can't fix it by eating better. You don't get it by being fat.

In '22, a few months after Chekov D. Siberian passed away, I was ready to look for a new buddy. But this was during the Sniffle Scare. The local SPCA insisted on face diapers, and you had to make an appointment (!) to come in and see an individual cat. You couldn't look around. And the website showed no longhairs, which I prefer.

Petfinder led me to a shelter in Vicksburg, and there was the future Stirling already looking impressive at three months. No face diaper nonsense. An eight-hour round trip, and he moved right in with me.

But seriously, they may be in that "sucks to be you" zone where they can't get food stamps because they have a new-ish car, which they need to work, but their job doesn't pay quite enough to cover all the necessary expenses.

And somehow food is the most flexible one to short themselves on.
