Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Biden's Corrupt Doctor and Biden, Inc. Business Partner Refuses to Testify to Congress, Citing the Fifth Amendment Right Against Self-IncriminationNo one is above the law, right? They sent Steve Bannon and Peter Navarro to jail for refusing to cooperate. So no one is above the law, right?Biden's physician declines to cooperate in GOP probe of former president's mental fitness Kevin O'Connor, who served as Joe Biden's physician while the former president was in office, refused to testify in a closed-door interview as part of the House GOP probe into Biden's mental acuity and whether his inner circle sought to conceal his limitations from the public. O'Connor Wednesday morning asserted doctor-patient privilege and his Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination, according to a statement from his attorneys. He had repeatedly argued his duties as a doctor complicated his ability to testify under oath about his patient, preventing him from sharing some sensitive information. "On the advice of his legal counsel, Dr. O'Connor refused to answer questions that invaded the well-established legal privilege that protects confidential matters between physicians and their patients," the statement read. "His assertion of his right under the Fifth Amendment to decline to answer questions, also on the advice of his lawyers, was made necessary by the unique circumstances of this deposition. There is no physician-patient confidentiality here because Congress intended to ask questions about O'Connor's publicly-stated (perjured) reports on Biden's supposed perfect health. There is no privilege once you voluntarily make something public. Either it's private or it's public, and O'Connor made it public. There may be things that he could assert privilege about, but not about his public declarations. The statement also cited President Donald Trump's own invocation of his Fifth Amendment right before his deposition with New York State Attorney General Letitia James, quoting Trump's suggestion that only "an absolute fool" would refuse to take the Fifth. ... O'Connor arrived on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning as required, but left less than an hour after the interview began. Before his departure, though, O'Connor's legal representation delivered a statement to committee members elaborating on their client's decision. In a copy of prepared remarks obtained by POLITICO, they said that the ongoing Justice Department investigation into the same subject raised the risk of potential incrimination -- even though they insisted it did not imply the doctor had broken the law. They also emphasized that pleading the Fifth does not imply an underlying crime was committed and in fact can be a strategy taken by innocent people to avoid being coerced into making incriminating statements. O'Connor's strategy tracks closely with decisions by more than 30 witnesses who testified before the Democrat-led committee to investigate the circumstances leading up to and surrounding the riots at the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021. Those witnesses all asserted their Fifth Amendment rights on a question-by-question basis. In those cases, the committee was unable to pierce the privilege but pointed to those invocations in its final report as a significant barrier. The media's take was that these assertions of the fifth amendment proved criminal conduct then. Now, of course, they apply a completely different rule. Congress can grant this scumbag criminal immunity for his testimony, in which case he can no longer plead the Fifth. I hope this is what they do.

I'm wondering if this is also to cover up how Joe was medicated throughout his presidency.
What was his doctor doing to keep him going, week to week, working with Jill and Hunter to pro him up for various events, to hide his health issues/mental deficiencies? It's one thing to be wrong during an annual exam - oops, didn't run a test I should have, didn't pick up on a minor symptom, or hey, he lied to me about how he was feeling. However, if you are tending to him on an ongoing basis, managing his prescriptions, advising his team on his capabilities/limitations, you are complicit in the fake presidency, bigly. People get on social media and spout off. Other people read it and repeat it. People get emotional on the issue. It becomes ingrained in your mind. No amount of evidence that it's wrong will ever cause you to rethink your position. It causes the citizenry to become emotional and divided on issues, even ones where there's no reasonable cause for division. If I were a conspiracy theorist, I'd say that this phenomenon is one of the main reasons that the intelligence agencies funded the creation of social media. Yeah, I agree that it's the constantly being lied to that draws suspicion. With the cloud seeding, it would be nice to know who's doing it, when and where. After decades of things like FBI kneejerk "not terrorism" after a jihadi attack in the US, and the covid shenanigans, it's easy to become suspicious of any immediate dismissal of concern. Nearly every day for at least two decades pharmaceutical drugs have been brought by the carload to the Capitol — an arrangement so under the radar that even pharmacy lobbyists who regularly pitch Congress on their industry aren’t aware of it. ----------- Mike Kim, the reserved pharmacist-turned-owner of the pharmacy, said he has gotten used to knowing the most sensitive details about some of the most famous people in Washington. “At first it’s cool, and then you realize, I’m filling some drugs that are for some pretty serious health problems as well. Ugh. My FIL has gone off the deep end on so many stupid conspiracy theories. He's 100% convinced chemtrails are real. He religiously reads Q dispatches. He knows I don't believe it's real, and he recently sent me "proof." His proof: DJT & Melania stepped out on the WH balcony at 1716 hours EDT. At 1717 hours, the Star Spangled Banner commenced, along with the B2 and F35 flyover. DJT's speech began at 1721 hours. The Anons and myself called it...things would begin at 1717 hours. QQ! Many other Comms were in his speech." What a load of crap. Someone looked at the official, published schedule and made some guesses about when the event would actually start, throwing in some 17s. I've no idea what the significance of 17 should be. Even so, they artificially attached the "beginning" to the Star Spangled Banner. Why then? Why not when Trump and Melania stepped onto the balcony? Because that's not when they predicted things would start, of course. So stupid. Posted by: bonhomme at July 09, 2025 01:47 PM (lIio7) 188

Meteorologist Chris Martz, featured in JJ's morning post, had a very good and early explanation for the flooding - the remains of tropical storm Barry got stuck in a low pressure trough across central Texas, and it was cut off from the Jet Stream that ordinarily would have moved it along. So it just stuck in place and dropped all of its moisture in one spot. It's rare, but not unheard of, and the area is very rocky with very little soil, so whenever there is a heavy rain it all runs off instantly.

Suppose I could join reddit, where I simply skim to laugh, and ask AITAH, which is the favorite stuff I read. Posted by: ChristyBlinkyTheGreat at July 09, 2025 01:18 PM (6PCLE) The cloud seeding is a bit silly. But it is true that most development in the last 100 years or so tends to exacerbate flooding. Wide areas are paved so runoff is instant, swamps are not allowed to flood to form a buffer 'cache' for water to slowly drain or pool. But little is done to find a replacement for the natural system. My neighborhood growing up had a stream that they turned into a narrow gorge as they put parks on either side due to development. One thunderstorm moved along the course of the stream and filled the gorge to within a foot of the top and our house was a little below the crown. The flood went over the top of the road and formed a dam and flooded a schoolyard. Posted by: Oldcat at July 09, 2025 01:56 PM (8avO+) 241

And those records may not be total alignment with you doctor tells you.
Those records are produced specifically with use in court in mind. ===== It’s dependent on how the order/request is written. They can get the actual records if they request them as recorded during the course of care. If they request an abstract, then someone inside the organization reviews the records and writes a summary - that’s when things can be “edited.” However, an organization can refuse to prepare an abstract and just send the actual records. I did this for 25 years. My lazy ass boss got tired of writing abstracts and consulted with our attorneys who advised her we could just send the records. Abstracts are usually requested because the requested doesn’t want to pour over voluminous pages or they don’t want to pay a clinician to review the same. I was thinking about this just the other day. I was trying to apply Occam's razor to the Epstein case, and decided that it just couldn't be done. Human behavior is just too variable.
Sex is a powerful motivator for human behavior, and people you have kompromat on are easier to control. People don't generally want to give you kompromat on them though, and in our degraded culture you have to go very low to get it - would anyone much care if our elites were having sex with willing adults? So then the question becomes is it more likely someone could run an operation like Epstein's independently for decades, or that they would need the protection of a government. And is it more likely a no one with no money like Epstein could get this ball rolling on his own...or with the aid of a government with substantial resources? The cloud seeding is a bit silly.
Posted by: Oldcat at July 09, 2025 01:56 PM (8avO+) Similar flooding in the area of Camp Mystic in 1987, so I read. It happens. Which is why one does not build a house in a flood plain (our house rules). Huge dumps of water, while rare, open it up again. As we saw in NC last fall. That I thought was super weird until I read it happens after hurricanes. Rare, thankfully. Back to the topic...one would THINK the wee doctor could answer if a PSA was done yearly for the demented President. Plead the 5th. The idea that humans could manipulate something as massive and powerful as a hurricane is akin to the idea that humans could cause the planet to change temperature as opposed to the giant ball of fire in the sky.
In the 60s DARPA seeded a hurricane and it abruptly went 90 degrees off course and hit an American city. Correlation is not causation, but it did make them back off of that type of research, at least officially. Posted by: Ian S. at July 09, 2025 02:08 PM (2ocoG) 322

Didn't almost precisely the same thing happen to Houston a few years ago? Remains of, in that case as I recall, a hurricane system "stalled" over the area and just dumped massive amounts of water. It's not common but it does happen. And as Tom Servo and others have pointed out, the area affected this time has very little topsoil, it's mostly a limestone formation that comes close to the surface. So, very little absorption of heavy rain = instant massive runoff and flooding, guaranteed.

Doctor Patient doesn't apply here since they want to ask about his public reports, not private doctor things. Or so is the claim.
Posted by: Oldcat --------- As a matter of law, I don't think that doctor-client privilege even applies to congressional investigations. It certainly does not as far as public reports. Privilege is a creature of statutory law (and common law which does not officially exist after the Erie doctrine for federal courts). It is not constitutional in nature like the 5th is. FWIW, the congressional power to investigate is held to be an inherent power of legislative bodies dating back to the fights between Parliament and the King. So Congress has a constitutional power to investigate for wrongdoing in other branches, for lawmaking purposes, and for policy setting. The Trump Jan 6 subpoenas cases involving Pelosi's Congress reemphasized Congressional power to investigate and override statutory privacy even in the case of tax returns. Assassination as a tool to move politics is almost impossible to predict.
That Japanese guy stabbing a famous leftist pol seemed to stop the left in Japan for years. Posted by: Tom Servo The weapons, if they still have S/Ns, are potentially traceable. As for the other items, if they used a credit/debit card to buy them that is an easy A. These people don't strike me as masterminds. Unlike the 1990s eco-terrorists which used individual "direct action" tactics the SOBs are forming quasi-military squads. This is a very Antifa approach and implies there is, at a minimum, a flat ad-hoc infrastructure behind all this. After the Summer of Love there were a number of new reports that Antifa type peeps were actively acquiring firearms and training to use them. To some degree we are now seeing the fruit of all that. Similar flooding in the area of Camp Mystic in 1987, so I read. It happens. Which is why one does not build a house in a flood plain (our house rules). Huge dumps of water, while rare, open it up again. As we saw in NC last fall. That I thought was super weird until I read it happens after hurricanes. Rare, thankfully.
