They do them at all The big college football games now. They are cool and fun. Neat that they can be programmed for each opponent. Different than fireworks. I prefer fireworks.

I had a cat that I would walk around the block every day. The cat ran up to front doors and porches a lot and then back to the sidewalk with me, but sometimes it would just find something more interesting than me and cut through a yard to the alley and that was that. Zig-zag.

Lots of cats like to go along for the dog-walk. Like it's a social event.

I watched a few episodes of Transparent, about the old dad who decided to be a trans woman, and how his adult kids deal with it. In one episode the lesbian daughter is having sex with her butch girlfriend, and when she's ready to climax, she's all "get the dick! Get the dick!" I was like, so you're into women, but only a strap on will do it for you. Ok.

So many reasons I only watched a few eps of that show and bailed. But here's three:

One, every character was a spoiled selfish brat and completely unlikable.

Two, they had the luminous Alison Sudol on the show, and her storyline is she gets an abortion. Like, that's it. Horrible storyline.

Three, the dad gifts lesbian daughter a gorgeous, perfectly preserved craftsman bungalow home, and the butch girlfriend of the daughter destroys it with upgrades and turns it into a modern tacky monstrosity. I am well aware the house was a symbol, but it was just too painful to watch!!

But the real Bill Longley was a No Good.

I have a friend, awesome structural engineer, who also farms, while his wife homeschools all six kids, that sort of fellow. He offered me sheep to mow the lawn, but you have to have at least two of them, or they will get lonely and die.

I have another friend, awesome civil engineer, who had ducks on her farmette. She offered me rent-a -ducks to pick slugs of my garden. So far, here, no slugs, but August is usually wetter. I lost most of my lettuce to slugs last year in a different location.

Farming is sort of an art...
