Monomaniac of Envy, also known by the name of Hyena of Salpêtrière, Portrait of a Woman Suffering from Obsessive Envy, and Manic Envy, is an oil-on-canvas painting by the French Romantic artist Théodore Géricault. Painted as part of his series of ten portraits on the mentally ill, it is one of only five known to survive today.

This isn't something I would hang but it does display Théodore Géricault's considerable talent. The expression combined with the subtle green shades in her skin tones gets the point across of what envy looks like or does to a person. Realistic enough to be recognized but exaggerated just enough to illustrate the moral.
Géricault does some realistic and detailed paintings but I think his strong suit is with horses, which are beautifully rendered. Posted by: JTB at June 30, 2025 09:52 AM (yTvNw) Posted by: CharlieBrown'sDildo (with a beret and a Gauloises) at June 30, 2025 09:52 AM (L5An7) 90

It was an ordinary day at the beach of the Fort Morgan Peninsula in Baldwin County, Alabama late last week. That was, until beachgoers watched a mysterious bundle bobbing in the water. Swimmers dragged it onto the shore and called the police. Testing confirmed that it was $1.5 million worth of cocaine. Authorities are now investigating the incident. The bundle reportedly contained 50 individually wrapped kilos and weighed 110 pounds. It had been in the water for so long that barnacles were attached to it.

That's all this is. And they wrote some treatise on it and dopey Mooch had someone tell her what it was about. I have seen this so many times from Karen's. They read these indoctrinating diatribes that are affirming in all the wrong ways and think it makes them smart. What it does is give them license to believe all the stuff they want to believe including the stuff that's the most psychotic and stupid. Like "the life inside me is worth less than I am". They have got to the point where they cant really deny that it's a life - so now it's onto the next which is "women are very scientifically complicated creatures, here's how". And this "complication" when tied in with the history of "oppression" allows them an out in having any regard at all (including God's built in regard) for the beating heart inside them. used to play with a lot of “I shoot in the low 90s” guys. Yeah sure buddy. Your 93 is really a 104 without generous gimme puts, mulligans cuz you heard a bird chirp on the backswing and “I know my ball is here somewhere but I don’t want to take a lot of time looking for it so I’ll just drop without a penalty”.

La Monomane de L'envie
Théodore Géricault Wikipedia, in part, "Monomaniac of Envy (Monomane de l’envie),[1]: 4 also known by the name of Hyena of Salpêtrière,[2] Portrait of a Woman Suffering from Obsessive Envy,[2] and Manic Envy,[3] is an oil-on-canvas painting by the French Romantic artist Théodore Géricault. Painted as part of his series of ten portraits on the mentally ill, it is one of only five known to survive today.[3] It is currently housed in the Museum of Fine Arts of Lyon, France." Very interesting, though I wouldn't hang today's art offering. Thanks. --- A bad Karma day. Hopefully, it doesn't extend through the week, leading to the Fourth of July. The only reason "the view" stays on the air is that ABC has no idea what to replace it with. Network TV is essentially dead.
