From the outset, all the evidence suggested that COVID-19 was deadly to the old and infirm, and a bad flu for everybody else.
Focused protection for the vulnerable and developing a vaccine to alleviate the burden on them were policies that made the most sense. And given that only a small fraction of the population was especially vulnerable, when the vaccine was rushed out, it made sense to give it--even without long-term testing--to those at high risk of death.
Of course, that's not what happened. The risks were exaggerated, and the "protection" measures were mostly useless, and when the vaccine--not a standard vaccine, but a novel mRNA vaccine that was untested--the government tried to force everyone to take it.
It's as if you had asked public health officials to develop the worst possible policy measures and implement them. The damage done has been immense, and there has still been no reckoning.

It's a conspiracy theory, you guys. Don't do your own research. Only obey the State and State Media. They know what the truth is.

Below, the abbreviation "SC" means "Successful Conceptions," that is, pregnancies among women trying to have a baby.

The "vaccine" seems to have reduced women's ability to successfully become pregnant by a full third.

Estimates of the number of SCs for vaccinated and unvaccinated women are shown in Figure 1. During the study period (January 2021--March 2023), there were approximately 1,300,000 women aged 18--39 years in the Czech Republic, and the proportion of vaccinated women increased until reaching a steady state of around 70% of all women by the end of 2021 (Figure 1(a)). The Comirnaty (Pfizer-BioNTech) and Spikevax (Moderna) mRNA vaccines comprised 96% of all administered COVID-19 vaccine doses, with an 11:1 ratio in the use of these two vaccines.
Blue-shaded areas in Figure 1(b) show intervals between upper and lower bounds for the estimates delineating the actual SC rates.

In the graph below, the big, thick chungus parts of the graphs are estimates. The areas are big because this part of the graph shows the spread between the lower bounds of estimates and the upper bounds. They don't have full data to resolve this band into a single line.

However, past 2021, the actual data is known. The big-bands of estimated successful conceptions resolves into nice neat lines.

The estimated intervals for SC rates varied substantially for vaccinated women at the beginning of the study period where few women had been vaccinated, that is, representing a very low absolute number of SCs. Notably, at least from June 2021, monthly numbers of SCs per 1000 women were considerably lower for women that were vaccinated before SC, compared to those that were not. SC rates for women vaccinated before SC were generally lower than expected based on their proportion of the total population of women (Figure 1(a) and (b)).
throughout 2022, SC rates remained about 1.5 times higher for women that were unvaccinated before SC compared with those that were vaccinated before SC (Figure 1(b)).

Unvaccinated women have successful conception rates 1.5 times as high as those of unvaccinated women. This just restates the finding that vaccinated women have 2/3rds the successful conception rate of unvaccinated women, because vaccinated women have 2/3rds as many successful pregancies, and unvaccinated women have 3/2nds (1.5 x) as many pregnanices.

The paper notes that while a correlation is observed, that doesn't prove causation, but other explanations seem frivolous -- like "women are just more stressed post-covid so they're naturally not as fertile."

How does the establishment, the Regime, and the Democrat-Media Party survive this?

This is, bizarrely, the plot of the British series Utopia, which was remade using American actors for Amazon. The Amazon series played with the disclaimer that the series was entirely fiction and should not be taken as containing any truth and should not cast doubt on the efficacy of vaccines.

I wondered why they ran that disclaimer. It turns out, because the show's whole plot concerned Pro-Mortalist elites -- elites who fear that the world has too many people -- creating a fake epidemic to get people to take a vaccine to prevent it.

The "vaccine" was engineered deliberately to reduce people's fertility, to solve the fake global overpopulation "problem."

People screamed that this entirely untested, experimental gene-slicing "vaccine therapy" could have serious consequences that were entirely unknown.

They were chased off the internet and subjected to government punishment.

"Trust us," they said. "We're the Experts and we're here to play savior."

Do I believe this is what happened here? No I don't, but I am very much beyond giving these viciously hubristic mad scientists the benefit of the doubt and I am perfectly willing to use this to pressure them into accepting the reckoning they richly deserve.

So you used fear and panic and propaganda to get your way? Then you can have no objections to us using these same tools to punish you.

You defamed people and threatened them with government force for defying your will? Fine, we can play that way too.

Actually, I was wondering if they accounted for marital status and age...the older you are, the more likely you vaccinated...and older women just conceive fewer times than younger ones. And married women want kids, while singles don't...so counting successful conception rate doesn't help when leftwing women tend to be 100% of birth control pills except when they want to conceive (whereas rightwing women have a much smaller percentage doing so).

Aka, it's a nice study start, but I think they planned the result prior to the data exam...and thus they didn't hold for all the controls they needed to...

Dr. Peter McCullough, a cardiac surgeon, has very bravely stood up for years now, discussing the dangers of the mRNA and mDNA "vaccines". A short clip of McCullough discussing this was put on Linked In, and people were angry that this "garbage" found it's way into their feed.
So there are literally millions of people that have been conditioned to believe the vaccines "saved millions!" and were absolutely necessary. They will never change their minds until something bad happens that can be attributed to the vaccine(s).

I saw it before the Amazon version and enjoyed both seasons.

The Amazon version sucks.
And they changed some things - characters and plots from the original.

The Jessica Hyde character was made mixed race in the American version and the actress was nowhere near as good as Fiona O'Shaughnessy who killed that role.

105 Just a disclaimer - when I was setting up data integrations for the COVID vaccine trials, fertility isn't exactly something that is captured and quantified.

I'm in the process at the moment of setting up a "registry study" database that is sponsored by over 20 pharma companies to track pregnancies, pregnancy outcomes and birth defects of mothers with a certain chronic viral infection and are on one of the treatments by those 20+ sponsors. Its been running since 1987 and has over 50,000 subjects in it.

The vaccine trials captured the standard datasets I mentioned earlier and antibody presence over the course of time. I can't remember off the top of my head the intervals at which the antibodies were measured but the trials I worked on went out 6 months.

From a report I read a few months ago, studies of ovaries showed a huge decrease in viable eggs after mRNA injections.

Early on I told our sons that mRNA failed in the distant past due to deaths of children. I questioned it and also noted some women were already having issues with menstrual cycles after the early mRNA vax. Women who were in menopause were having periods. Weird cycles. Stuff like that and I can't remember where I read it as it was in 2021.

I basically said, in other words, beware. At the time we had one grandchild and another on the way. They did listen to me, for once in their stubborn lives.

Meanwhile, many of their peers are having trouble getting pregnant now, possibly for various other reasons.

The vax team of RFJ,Jr approved RSV vax for babies. Which I think is another vax not needed like hepatitis for babies who were not exposed in utero. The Moderna RSV vax is, of course, mRNA. There is a recombinant one called Arevxy. This vax used to only be needed for premies and immunocompromised babies. RSV is a cold.

yeah so I went to get Pfizer, but they pulled the ol' switcharoo at our local hospital, which shocked me. I did not want Moderna, at least Pfizer had been around for more than a minute!

Yes, I think that is probably a fair reading of the situation. The Chinese build cargo cult versions of Western tech, and often times ignore the reason why the western tech is the way it is (safety wise, for example).

Their lab was in no way equipped, nor does it seem that anyone was in any way trained, to be handling any kind of infectious diseases.

I lean towards "inefficient and shitty chinese communist system" over "purposely released the virus in their own city" but it is hard to know for sure.

I didn't know that." but my blood was now full of the antibodies. Looking back, I remembered a time when I had a bit of a cough and a slight fever for two nights, which then went away without me doing anything about it. (although I had been taking D3, Zinc, C, and a couple of other supplements regularly) So that was my covid experience - I didn't even notice it at the time.

Yea, it's another reason for the decreased birth rates. A 40-year old woman has like much less chance of conceiving than a 20 year old. IIRC, it's like 5x less. Even 30 has a significant less chance than 20. That's a huge difference and why I raised the age issue above.

And that doesn't even figure in the age of the man in the equation.

That would lean in the "probably this study is misleading" category b/c if women are giving birth older and older, they would successfully conceive less and less...amazing that 1st births are now at almost 30, but when I moved to NoVa, I noticed 1st births were 39 and 2nd, if they happened, were 42...so I was always the way younger mom when my kids were with other similar aged kids (I finally almost caught up with my last, but still not quite)...

The study does place limits on age, from 18 to 39. You are correct, though, that nothing is being controlled for, but I think there's a more fundamental problem with the report. The authors point out that self-selection into the groups of vaccinated and non-vaccinated would not cause overall fertility to fall, and then assert that the drop in fertility must therefore be caused by the vaccine. I looked at the underlying study, and it did not mention any adjusting for age. As I pointed out above, since women's chances of conceiving steadily declines from 18 to 39, the study is misleading unless the ages of the women in the vaccinated group is almost identical to the ages in the unvaccinated group. If they are off even a few years, then the study is misleading -- either in over-estimating or under-estimating the effects of the vaccine.

As for the rest, I can see that. We all have blind spots but as a rule I'm pretty good at driving wedges into hairline cracks. And at least in this here thread I only really responded to tone, so not much fault there as such.

There is plenty of data on this. Roughly double the rate of miscarry and birth defects, minimum.

Personally I still can't figure out how the generation that gave us "don't trust anyone over 30" and lived through all the BS of the 60's and onwards just up and trusted The Man on this one and got it in droves. I suspect it's because the initial censorship wave was most effective on people that have the least exposure to alternate sources of information, coupled with some VERY effective lefty-driven astroturfing in supposedly non-lefty media.

This is just the start, there are a dozen other shoes to drop - some of them worse than this one.
