He was responding to activist Tariq Ra'ouf who was calling for a boycott of any future Harry Potter projects due to Rowling's outspoken stance on trans issues. The British writer, 59, had celebrated a ruling by London's Supreme Court determining that, specifically within the terms of Britain's Equality act, 'woman' meant a biological female and not gender. Rowling, who also writes under the pen name JK Galbraith, has also been involved in wars of words over the subject with Sir Stephen Fry, Boy George and the three young actors who played the main trio in the original Harry Potter movies. Now Pascal has continued his opposition to Rowling in a new interview with Vanity Fair, in which he addressed the response to his Instagram comment earlier this year. Campaigner Mr Ra'ouf had written on Instagram: 'It has become our mission as the general public to make sure that every single thing that's Harry Potter related fails...because that awful disgusting s**t, that has consequences.'Again with the hysterics. No one denies that this person doesn't exist. We deny his delusion that he's a woman. This is a matter of pure fact.
As well as liking the video, Pedro also shared a defiant comment, writing: 'Awful disgusting S**T is exactly right. Heinous LOSER behavior.' His older sister Balmaceda, also talking to Vanity Fair for the new feature, defended him against allegations of being a man talking down to a woman - saying: But it is heinous loser behavior. 'And he said that as the older brother to someone saying that our little sister doesn't exist.'

Pascal went on to add: 'The one thing that I would say I agonized over a little bit was just, "Am I helping? Am I f***ing helping?" 'It's a situation that deserves the utmost elegance so that something can actually happen, and people will actually be protected. 'Listen, I want to protect the people I love. We we're trying to work backwards from a normal school day to figure out how much time for instruction we should allot to begin home school. We came up conservatively at 4 hours, taking into account all the farm animal shuffling around and other overhead.
I talked to a teacher friend of mine who disabused me of such generous accounting by saying 2 hours max (elementary level).
That's a full six hours of nothing but "socialization" (a/k/a indoctrination and herd mentality building) and babysitting. And we pay for that shit.

No, all of the Caville films were dark and morose and Dawn of Justice was essentially Millers, The Dark Knight Returns.
All of these iterations are chasing Superman The Movie and they all largely fail, the best iteration of Superman of the recent past was Smallville and going back a little further, Lois and Clark.

Fun fact: hysteria was an actual medical diagnosis for women for many many centuries.
The idea was that a woman's emotions were all whacked out due to her "wandering womb" and the prescription was some variation of either getting her pregnant, or getting her to orgasm. Which is how the modern vibrator was invented as a medical device doctors would use to treat hysteria.

Why turn down Marvel? Well we can only speculate, but possibly the role was so weak and lame that the actors didn't care to play that role. And certainly Marvel isn't the guaranteed hit it used to be, and that can hurt an actor's career to be in a bomb.

Saw "28 Years Later".
I enjoyed it. Well made. Very well directed and acted.
They've pretty much decided to turn the franchise from concentrating on the Rage Virus Outbreaks to a sort of Gulliver's Travels where the Rage Folk are just a fact of life and the survivors are weirdos of various sorts to make political points.
F'rinstance, 28YL is at its root an argument for assisted suicide, which apparently just got passed in Old Blightey. Some knocks against Christianity, which seem will be expanded upon in Part Two the series.
The politics is mostly shoved in at the last quarter or so of the movie. I'm not an assisted suicide type at all but I wasn't particularly offended because it kinda fit into the story, but upon thinking about the movie later it was very obvious.
Soooo, not as good as 28DL. Much better than 28WL.
Not much hope for the sequel as the coda to 28YL makes it pretty obvious we're going to be getting yet another EEEEEEeeeevil White People movie.
Anyway, check it out if you're a fan of the series.

This is the "why do athletes get paid so much and schoolteachers so little" argument again. They don't, not in terms of persons served. Tom Brady probably made maybe a few cents per person served (viewer entertained) over the course of a season. A schoolteacher earns a couple of hundred bucks or more per person served.
What allows the movie star to earn so much is the same thing that allowed movie stars to happen (and music stars, and athlete stars, etc): mass media, and therefore massed customers.
With the media landscape fracturing and the audience so sub-sectioned, the masses aren't there anymore. The movie star really has no place anymore, and their general unpleasantness has compounded the problem dramatically.

When I was kid, we didn't either, but the school was built in the 1940's and the plan was always to retrofit it (I assume it has been done by now).

From my side of the fence, Ellen Barkin when she did Sea of Love w/ Al Pacino was "ugly hot." Well, maybe not ugly, but not glamor beautiful.
Pacino is another one. He was good-looking when he first rose to prominence in The Godfather, but he has not aged well.

Yeah they have a few out. Marvel is doing their best to promote this turd, but everyone is expecting it to utterly suck. The story as near as I can work out from the videos is a girl who is called a genius by everyone but for some reason is unable to carry out her dreams despite having already built a suit of power armor while a freshman in college and gone to Wakanda.
So she hooks up with this guy who is actually working for the devil, and goes out robbing rich people to "give to the poor" redistributing wealth with a posse of losers and freaks. She demands to be "iconic" but does nothing heroic in any of the trailers and is clearly self focused and spoiled. She has no dad, he died a while back. Her stepdad is missing from the picture as well.
She has an AI like Tony Stark did with Jarvis, but this one is a sassy black hologram. She uses black magic (no joke actual evil spells) to power up her armor even more.
It looks utterly dreadful

I was one of those folks cautiously wanting to watch the new show; i enjoyed the movies (huge Alan Rickman fan) but I got a bit tired of hearing about JK's views from the old cast. Then they announced the Snape casting and I was out. They just couldn't help themselves. Utterly moronic choice.

I think you have a point: I think the wings were added to make the monster more demon like, similarly the fire breathing. And yes, the dragon is often shown as a bipedal wavers, but, in the iconography the dragon is always shown as supine (because it’s being killed) and depicted beneath St. George, so very like a Komodo dragon, which goes about on all fours and is a reptile, after all! I think the iconography goes back to Horus killing Set: Set was a crocodile, so very much what I’m getting at: a supine, dying, lizard-like creature shown beneath the mounted hero, whether Horus or St. George!
