Her saying this has a greater chance of sinking her in her re-election than actually opening any kind of actual opportunities to jump up the ranks of Senate Democrats.

Yes, that there seems to be the actual problem.

Posted by: Emmie celebrates the Audacity of Trump! at June 24, 2025 03:11 PM (rF2iL)

48 Readers added context: Murkowski said there was a world in which *coalitions* across parties (like in the AK state legislature) would be worth exploring, speaking hypothetically. She never said she'd consider switching parties.

she can just become an independent and caucus with the Dems, like Bernie Sanders and Angus King. That being said, it would be nice to see the defection going the other way for a change.

Would rather she beome a Dem. As a proud member of the Democratic Party we welcome her. she's one of very, very few Republicans in the Senate who actually have, what are those things called? Oh yeah, principles! Come on in, Lisa!

I watched her interview on CBS this morning. She was mealy mouthing some weasel words. I don't trust her. She was talking in circles, being evasive. She's selling her book that's why she's in the news now.

This smells of an attempt to fake some opposition to the "Loot America" bill. If she actually does it I will fall over from shock.

Nowhere in this video does she say that it is possible she would switch parties and become a democrat. Whoever wrote this didn’t listen to the clip.

50 Bitch McConnell has supported her after she has LOST two different primaries because she was his loyal minion. He wanted a RINO that did what she was told, not an actual conservative. He spent $25 MILLION helping her win against another Republican in 2022 while laughing about denying funding to actual contested and winnable seats.

She he knows she no longer has any protection or funding from the RINO 'leadership' and is going to lose in 2028 badly, so she's pulling an Arlen Specter and prepping the zone to switch parties on 'principle'.

She has always been and will always be one of the most disgusting self-serving RINOs in existence.

In part, "Former Gov. Frank Murkowski is exploring the creation of a rail connection between Alaska and Canada, an unrealized priority left over from his time in the state's highest office more than a decade ago.

A contract between Murkowski and Gov. Bill Walker's office says Murkowski will serve as Walker's "special envoy" and "perform services related to establishing a rail connection between Alaska and the Canadian rail system."

Politico: Palin: Murkowski stooped "low" Feb. 2010

In part, "Sarah Palin lashed into Sen. Lisa Murkowski several times Monday on behalf of her endorsed candidate in the Alaska Senate race, Republican Joe Miller.

Completing an electronic hat trick, Palin blasted Murkowski for the remarks she made during a debate last night via Twitter, on her Facebook page and in an e-mail sent to Miller’s supporters."

And, "The former Alaska governor has a contentious history with Murkowski and her father, former Gov. Frank Murkowski, that dates back almost a decade. In 2002, then-recently elected Gov. Frank Murkowski passed over Palin and appointed his daughter to his former Senate seat. Four years later, Palin defeated Frank Murkowski to win the governorship."

A lot of the ground in AK is covered in muskeg, which is basically deep, deep moss. Especially in the wooded areas. It's like walking on 18 inches of wet kitchen sponges.

There was one lake in the training areas of Elmendorf/Richardson where the muskeg had grown out onto the surface. It was like a green iceberg, flat on top and about 10 feet of muskeg below the surface. Some airmen & soldiers had put plywood sheets on the muskeg so you could walk on the water about 50 yards offshore and fish at the edges. Freaky.

Going to Broadway from Hollywood isn't actually an upgrade.

Going from Hollywood to Broadway is something big stars can do to get adulation and paid (like Jake Gyllenhall and Denzel in their Othello), but it's more about convincing themselves that they're still actors instead of movie stars.

Zegler is not going to Bdwy because she needs to feel like an actress. She's going to Broadway because no one in Hollywood will hire her and her name is big enough to work on the marquee on Bdwy for opening weekend.

It didn't help bevin that he was a grifter that destroyed the family business in connecticut. He took over the bell making company that had been around for over 200 years in about 2009 and drove it into the ground. He cancelled the insurance on the factory and it subsequently burned to the ground after getting hit by lightning. The state (blumenthal) came in and bailed him out with grants and tax abatements. Once those were in place and he had the cash he promptly sold the company and moved away.

She sure can sing but she's a terrible person, awful to work with by ALL accounts, and cannot act. This is her niche though, musicals on stage.

I have only seen two plays in person, both Shakespeare and they were damned well worth it, but I cannot comment on anything more recent. Plays feel very artificial and pretentious in reading, but sometimes they come across well when acted out.
