Western Leftists Attempt to Storm the Egyptian Border to "March to Gaza," Get Rekt by Normie Egyptians Who Are Sick to Death of AWFLs

When gray-haired white liberals take to America's streets for "No Kings" protests, the only danger they're exposing themselves to is ridicule.
But what happens when progressive protesters head to a foreign war zone?
Last weekend, the "Global March to Gaza" found out.
Thousands came from wealthy European countries like Ireland and Luxembourg, joined by activists from the developing world as well.
They planned to get into Gaza through Egypt, evading Israel's blockade -- but it was the Egyptians who stopped the marchers.
It turns out the locals did not take kindly to strangers involving themselves in the life-or-death politics of the neighborhood.
Egyptian authorities confiscated passports and phones, arrested some of the marchers and gave them all the chilliest of receptions despite the desert heat.
Nor were the police the only ones giving the wealthy white would-be saviors of the Palestinians a hard time -- throngs of ordinary Egyptians shouted abuse and tussled with the clueless do-gooders.

It's a basic psychological trait of the Western progressive that he (or she, or whatever the pronoun) believes both that the West is the guiltiest, most racist, most imperialistic part of the world, and that Westerners like him (or her, etc.) understand exactly what the rest of the world needs -- and are just the people to deliver it.
Western progressive morality is the most imperialist thing of all, especially when it's posing as anti-imperialist or "anti-colonial."
And when people like the Egyptians, who actually know a thing or two about suffering imperialism -- and at times perpetrating it, too -- tell Europe's or America's wannabe white messiahs they aren't welcome, how do the protesters react?
Instead of singing a merry "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" on the bus taking them away to be deported, they can be heard in a video shared on X chanting, "F--k you, Israel! F--k you, Egypt!"

For the first time in my life I would be proud to join an Egyptian mob beating up Westerners.

It used to be the case that Ivy wokies still were grinds that got into the Ivies the hard way. The less academically adequate students aped their perceived betters at lower tier schools as a way of raising their social status.

By the time I retired, there was literally little difference in exhibited IQ between the Ivies and lower tier schools. Both demonstrated the same pathologies and idiocies. This is partly because of the explicit overproduction of idiot Phds from the Ivies has essentially destroyed the job market in the humanities for Phds at lesser tier universities.

Serving on hiring committees almost from the first, I saw a big decline in Ivy League PhD candidates applying to my university over time but many of my colleagues wanted to hire these clowns as a matter of prestige and social cred rather than competence.

One hire that I was overruled upon came from Claremont and his PhD was exploring Bart Simpson and politics.

in a strange twist, Ukraine never has called up the 'military age' young men as we think of it (18-25). Some probably volunteered, but the forced drafts were older. I think in the last draft they cut partly into this young age, but the teenagers of 2022 aren't eligible even now. Its the grandpas you see being hauled in.

I may be a little behind the times but the last few conscriptions were very poor at finding new men.

That was Jesus' point when criticizing the pharisees. He had no problem with them helping the poor. This is the problem with the left, they might even have a good idea once in a while (poor people need assistance to feed children), but they never go about it in a way that is very helpful and focus so heavily on being seen and praised doing it, like Biden's "I got caught on security camera giving money to this guy who looks like a bum" stunt. Its not ultimately about the help or the good, its about being seen and praised for doing good.

Probably the worst story was the guy who had drunken sex with some girl, and the text exchanges leading up to that were crystal clear she went to his dorm room to hook up. Later, it was her friends who were unhappy with the hookup, and they accused the guy of rape. The girl never denied she consented! The allegation was that she was too drunk to consent even if she did consent. Guy was convicted and (I think) expelled. He was challenging it in courts on appeal. Not sure what ultimately happened.

Isreal and the US have been begging them to - and the Egyptians built a great big wall and said - NO.

It goes back to Camp David, when they were negotiating about Sinai the Israeli's asked the Egyptians if they wanted to take Gaza back, since they had run the place before 1967. And the Egyptian negotiators said "Oh HELL no!!!" That's how Israel got stuck with the responsibility for it.

Later, it was her friends who were unhappy with the hookup, and they accused the guy of rape. The girl never denied she consented! The allegation was that she was too drunk to consent even if she did consent. Guy was convicted and (I think) expelled. He was challenging it in courts on appeal. Not sure what ultimately happened.

There is more to it.
1. Gazans are actually fairly well off for the region. There is a lot of money sent there and so they are resented by the typical Egyptian or Syrian or Jordanian.

2. The problem with Gaza and Israel is not that there are "refugees," it is that Israel is taking control of land that was once controlled by muslims and is part of their perceived core territory. Their philosophy is that islam does not retreat (not one step back,) and this is because its conquest is ordained by god. They can not accept this defeat and have been told that with their mother's milk.

3. And yet the Gazans did retreat. They are refugees because most of them fled Israel during war and have lived under the "Jewish boot" ever since. So they are seen as weak traitors. Gazans are lower than dog shit for this.

4. And Gazans know this, and that gives them attitude to prove their superiority. They are like the Western trannies trying to prove they are women -- intolerable.

Yes, Egypt is proud of the past of their land and rightly so. That's why they were livid at the black Cleopatra. She wasn't Arab or Egyptian, but was part of that history and having it smeared was an insult.

Copts and other old Christian sects welcomed the Islam conquest because Byzantium tended to persecute them every so often and as the rest of the nation converted it was found useful to have people around able to do things Islamist found blocked by the rules of the religion.
