Gaming handheld situation: Well if I were interested in one of these, I'd just wait then. (I'm not that interested though, I prefer using my desktop for gaming.)

3 I don't have the money for a handheld gaming gizmo. If I did, I'd get the Steam Deck, because you can (with the right 3d printed case and little keyboard) make it into an ersatz laptop.

I mean, it's not like we can really get a Sony Vaio P series any more...

A run to a real brick-and-mortar tobacconist shop, The Country Squire. They sell pipes, cigars, name-brand tobaccos, and have a slew of their own blends. Plus the fun of a road trip. Which it was; but more than seven hours behind the wheel, even if most of it was at 70 mph and on decent highways, is pretty wearing for a nearly-29 guy like me.

I went to bed an hour early last night and slept a whole seven hours. Remarkable.

Yes, I did. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, comfortable surroundings -- a sort of gentleman's club atmosphere (as in London clubs of the 1900s, not 2000s strip clubs), a willingness to visit with you and talk about not only pipes and leaf but movies and trivia. (Sort of like Ace's place.)

I only wish it were in my area instead of so far away. But I can order online, or, I think, call them on the phone to order something.

I doubt they'd recognize the place. The area I visited is a more upscale-looking suburban stretch on a wide six-lane avenue heading east from the Interstate. The shop I visited stood in a modern shopping strip in which you would not be surprised to see a Rolex dealer. Yet their prices, and that of the coffee shop (called "Cups"!) next door, were in many cases less than I'd pay down here.

They rolled out their hypersonic missiles and launched them at Israel is all. I believe they are too fast to be defeated by Iron Dome. I suppose it'll be a sentence or two in a history book in a hundred years, but that's about it.
