Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Rep. Elise Stefanik Grills Kathy Hochul on All the Illegal Aliens She Shielded from Deportation Who Went on to Rape Children or Burn Women to Death on the SubwayWhat is even more galling is that she doesn't even know who these people are. It's absolutely worth your time to watch, but if you don't have the time or can't play a video at work, see the transcript here.
Congresswoman Stefanik: These are high-profile cases, New Yorkers know about them and you don't? So let's talk about Sebastian Zapeta-Calil. Do you know who that is? Gov. Hochul: I don't have the specific details at my disposal, no. Congresswoman Stefanik: Well, this is an illegal migrant in New York because of your sanctuary state policies. Do you know what crime he committed? Gov. Hochul: I'm not familiar at this moment. Congresswoman Stefanik: I bet you're going to be familiar when I remind you. He found a sleeping woman on the subway, lit her on fire, and burnt her alive. This is in Kathy Hochul's New York, and as I'm sure you are aware, and I'll remind you, that ICE issued an order to detain this violent criminal, but that was rejected by New York officials due to sanctuary state laws. How could she not know about one of the most notorious murders committed in her state??!!? Mark Halperin has been talking about this for a while. Democrats don't know what the public knows, or what the public is thinking, because the left-wing media "wraps them in blue bubble-wrap" to protect Democrats from being confronted with the horrors caused by their policies. Democrat politicians never realize the public is getting sick of being set on fire by lunatic illegal aliens, or having their daughters kidnapped and raped by illegal aliens fleeing their home countries because of outstanding rape charges, because the Blue Bubble-Wrap Media refuses to report on these stories. All lefties wrap themselves snugly in this Blue Bubble-Wrap and go for years without ever realizing that their policies are causing rapes and murders. But then elections come around, the public, which does know about these murders because the left-wing media monopoly isn't an effective monopoly any longer, and all Democrats are stunned and shocked to find out that the public hates their guts. And they all would have known this if they turned on Fox for a couple of hours per day, instead of relying on Noted Media Journalist Brian Stelter to offer a bizarrely biased report on what Fox is talking about. The Blue Bubble-Wrap Media is protecting them from hearing any negative stories about their policies, just as Biden's staffers blocked him from seeing bad polling information or the public's questions about his mental fitness. (One Biden staffer even presented Biden with fake polls to keep the senile man from realizing that he was about to lose the 2024 election by 400 electoral votes.) But they can only protect them until election day. Halperin is making the case that it's the Blue-Bubble Wrap Media which is causing Democrats to lose elections. If the left-wing media just loosened the Blue Bubble-Wrap a bit to report to Democrats that these murders are happening and yes, people know about the murders, and the left-wing media isn't able to fully cover them up, Democrats would have a sense of the electoral danger they are in and could possibly calibrate their policies to stave off election-day drubbings. But they won't, and probably can't, because they're all cultists and cultists stay true to the cult right through the cult leader's demand that they all drink poisoned Kool-Aid. ======= 1. I should note that I think this media bubble gets smaller every day. People wake up to the bubble's lack of information more than people decide to wrap themselves up in it. 2. This graph helps explain a lot: https://x.com/EricLDaugh/status/ 1932974489224032570 When you're rigidly doctrinal, you suppress outside thought. The left is rigidly doctrinal, and if you stay in the bubble, you have literally no idea that there's anything outside the bubble. Willowed. From the Hodgetwins:
PELOSI MAKES UP FAKE CONSTITUTIONAL SECTION — AND DEMOCRATS NOD ALONG You can’t make this up… At a press event attacking President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard, Nancy Pelosi actually told the public he needs to “read Article 10, Section 12046” of the Constitution. One problem: There is NO Article 10. There is NO Section 12046. The U.S. Constitution has only SEVEN articles. That’s it. And yet… Democrats behind her nodded in agreement like it was gospel. Not one corrected her. Not one blinked. Pelosi was likely confusing the Constitution with Title 10 of the U.S. Code, which governs the military — but that’s federal law, not the Constitution. And even then, it doesn’t say what she thinks it says. This is what happens when career politicians get too comfortable — they just start making it up as they go. Maybe next time, Pelosi should actually read the Constitution before lecturing the rest of us on it. Posted by: rickb223 at June 12, 2025 04:28 PM (3aclk) 22

What is the normal political calculus for the midterms of a second, non-consecutive president's term? When it was non-consecutive because the previous term was stolen? Deporting illegals does not take normal criminal due process, because the process is outlined in federal statutes. It is a procedure, not a criminal case. They do not have to have a warrant, it is presumed for all illegals that they are wanted by the federal government and no judge is required to issue a warrant for their arrest. They are fugitives.

PELOSI MAKES UP FAKE CONSTITUTIONAL SECTION — AND DEMOCRATS NOD ALONG
You can’t make this up… At a press event attacking President Trump’s decision to deploy the National Guard, Nancy Pelosi actually told the public he needs to “read Article 10, Section 12046” of the Constitution. Posted by: rickb223 at June 12, 2025 04:28 PM There is a section 10 in the constitution, it's the article that prevents people from crying wolf in a crowded theater. Idiot! Wish I'd saved the link to the tweet so I could credit who I got it from, but the whole "take the 20 side of a 20/80 issue" (which ties into the blue bubble wrap concept in some ways) actually makes more sense when you consider electoral impacts in primaries.
If roughly 1/3 (33%) of voters are Democrats, the 20% of people on the "20" side of that 20/80 issue are all in your base - that's nearly 2/3 of your entire primary voters, and the ones most likely to show up for a primary. You HAVE to cater to them or you won't even make the general election. Presumably, you make it through the primary and then "moderate" to some degree, downplaying past statements and weasel-wording, to try to make that negative go away. But you can't even TRY hat if you've lost the primary. Posted by: can of spam at June 12, 2025 04:40 PM (7oNMO) 95

And the danger is that the feds are no longer under their control, and so with this outbreak the financial situation is being examined. Yes, some of the money is public money, but how it was directed where and who told these groups what to do is going to be found out. Perhaps the Executive Directors of these NGO's will say nothing and go to jail for 5-10 years.

What kind of stupid country *pays* people to break our laws and then gives them representation? What madness.
Democrats have always done this. They fought like hell to get slaves counted for representation in congress even though they couldn't vote. Posted by: Christopher R Taylor at June 12, 2025 05:14 PM (e7kz6) 220
I think it's only 6 misapportioned seats.

There are a few problems
1. Census did have error, and they overestimated illegals. This was controversial as they are supposed to only count actual people but the Dems included provisions for counting people who do not fill out a form. I have heard reports that this handed 3-17 seats to the Dems. 2. Counting of illegals. Why would we count them? This is a tougher battle and probably requires several SCOTUS decisions before they can be non-counted. 3. Existence of illegals. We need to move on all three fronts. How do we know Bush I fumbled his re-election?
I am certain that Bush the elder wanted to stay in office, that he didn't deliberately lose. It didn't help that he had a nutjob billionaire determined to destroy him for personal reasons but he ran a terrible campaign and betrayed Reagan's legacy as soon as he got into office, so he pushed away the support that won him the job in the first place. Yeah, I was arguing the point just to argue it. Bush I did fumble his re-election, stupidly, but mainly because he was a creature of the Deep State and could not support Reagan’s reforms. He's an old oil money dude spoiled by Ivy League East Coast Liberal GOP contempt for flyover country. He made a deal with the Dems, they reneged and he was to proud and stupid to just admit a mistake and attack congress massively -- who was far less popular than he was. As for Perot, his steam was lost when he quit. When he came back it was exasperated protest votes that made him look strong. Posted by: Oldcat at June 12, 2025 05:32 PM (8avO+) 249
