NBC "News" Reports a Huge Scoop: There's a Left-Wing Movement to Encourage and Escalate Violence
Update: California Democrat Senator Alex Padilla Arrested and Handcuffed for His #Resistance Efforts

You don't say. You don't say.

John Sexton:

NBC hasn't completely separated itself from the "fiery but peaceful" mob of other media outlets but in this piece they do at least notice that there is a clear pattern to how the far-left operates.

It was approaching nightfall in Los Angeles on Sunday when black-clad demonstrators began to torch a row of self-driving Waymo taxis. Within minutes, videos of the fiery scenes began to pop up on social media.

"MORE. MORE AND MORE AND MORE," a group known as Unity of Fields posted on X, along with a video of the flaming vehicles.

It's part of a far-left online ecosystem that has proliferated in recent years, experts say. Some of the groups behind the accounts express contempt for peaceful resistance and glorify acts of violence -- and even murders, like those of the UnitedHealthcare CEO and two Israeli Embassy staffers...

The unrest in Los Angeles follows a pattern that has played out in numerous cities over the past five years in which protests that break out remain mostly peaceful during the day, but at night agitators engage in fiery clashes with police.

Not just online:

Sue Ellen
@EstergrenSue

I live in Minnesota and there is a St. Cloud cable station that has a commercial that was asking people to scan a QR code on their phone if they wanted to get paid to be part of the resistance. This is not surprising that they are recruiting paid protesters from the state of Minnesota. Tim Walz encourages this behavior- look no further than the 2020 Minneapolis riots.

One group Sexton highlights is Unity of Fields, which does little but pump out propaganda supporting antisemitic assassin Elias Rodriguez and call for the murders of ICE agents:

See his post for more. Why is this account still allowed on Twitter? Is the FBI investigating it?

Meanwhile, elected Democrats support the violent tactics by engaging in #Resistance displays themselves:

Update: Padilla is arrested.

False.

Conservative critique of leftist movements was inherently flawed because they came from a biased perspective. It does not matter what they said or what conclusions they came to, conservative thought is naturally biased against truth and cannot be right. If reality aligns with them later, it is merely coincidence, and conservatives should be treated with greater official repression from government sources because their presence precipitated the reality that they predicted but were wrong about but we're now reporting on as true.

So, good job, rioters, for calling in Waymo cars and then setting them on fire! We’ll keep this in mind the next time activists b$tch about taxis being unavailable in poor neighborhoods, along with the “food desert” no after theft and rioting have chased many markets away.

114 We often talk about how the ratchet only goes one way here, and that seems to be the truth all too often. But it also seems to be true about the left: they can only go one direction (further to the radical left) and each step is a higher ratchet. Fail to be elected? Become more radical. Be elected? Become more radical. Be rejected by the culture? Become more radical. Fall out of favor with the voters? Become more radical.

All they seem to understand is doubling down. If what they are doing is not working, that just means they aren't doing it HARD ENOUGH. They only ever seem to take one lesson from every single input: we need to be even more extreme and violent.

BUT... we did expect this. This is them fighting for their lives. They are desperate. They are losing power, influence, and money. Their entire infrastructure to impose their will on the culture is being chipped away.

Exactly. They idealize that time period as WHEN WE WON (I mean, check out that lame Hippie San Francisco was the peak of my existence speech from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). They all have nostalgia for a time that most of them weren't even alive to be in. They learned about it, got stars in their eyes and think they want to be a part of that.

That's why they keep coming up with a New Civil Rights struggle: they all want to have their Selma (but without the arrests and dogs and firehoses). In the newest surfaced video, the B787 was airborne for about 35 seconds.
Posted by: Lithiated gp For Refreshment

The plane took off when it reached nominal take-off speed, and left a substantial amount of runway unused.
(Under take off conditions present, the plane should have been going faster before takeoff - according to what I read).
I saw one posting where a commenter said the flaps were not properly adjust at takeoff. 5 to 15 degrees flap, and it looked like 0 degrees flap.
Anyways, the air temp was 37 C, about 97 Fahrenheit, and in the hot air, the plane did not have enough lift after taking off, and went into a stall (not enough air passing over the wing) and crashed. Pilot error.

“Foreign-born voters have gone tremendously to the Right on this issue in 2024 and 2025 versus where they were in 2020,” said Enten. “You go back to 2020, Democrats, get this, held a 32-point lead on this issue. Immigrant voters were in the Democratic camp. Jump forward to 2024, 2025. Look at that shift. A 40-point shift to the Right among immigrant voters.”

Foreign born population involvement is down 1,000,000 according to BLS. According to the Census, foreign born population is down 750,000.

Yeah, this argument is also absolute bullshit. How many people work in the entire agricultural industry in the US? Internet says 3.4 million people total.

And this isn't 1925, the vast majority of farm work is heavily automated and involves multi million dollar machines that require skill to operate.

Other than a few unimportant crops, everything is done by machine now. And machine operators do and should get paid well.

These illegals are not working in the field scything down wheat plants to feed people like the tractor hasn't been invented yet and the intracontinental rail is still being build.

But I’m 2 minutes over the parking meter and I get a $40 fine.

That’s the 2 tier justice system in action.

Yeah, that was traditionally a path in to the middle class for people. Low barriers to entry and you can start a business mowing lawns.

I have lived in places in the US with very few Hispanics, and the guys who mow the lawns are all local white kids / young adults.

Those are jobs we want to have available for US citizens. Even if it costs slightly more to run the business legitimately, with vehicle insurance, following employment laws, etc. etc. than by breaking a bunch of laws and running a cash industry.

I know that that can bruise grapes used in fine wines and whatever, but my point is -- it's not an existential crisis to the US economy if farms growing wine grapes have to pay slightly more money to hire US citizens to pick the grapes.

They have mechanical grape harvesters and you crush grapes to make wine. It's a bougie thing to say it's hand picked. It makes no difference really.

Step 2) Deport any non-criminal illegals who get in the way during step 1.

So either they are working illegally, or have perpetuated fraud by giving a false document.

408 California Democratic Party Faces Scrutiny Over Brick Purchase Amidst LA Protests
By Jonathan Gregory

Los Angeles, CA — June 11 2025
A recent review of the California Democratic Party's May 2025 expense report has uncovered a significant and controversial expenditure: the purchase of 200 pallets of construction-grade bricks. Notably, this acquisition lacks any associated construction plans or public documentation, raising questions about its intended use. The absence of a clear purpose for such a substantial purchase has prompted calls for transparency and accountability from both political opponents and watchdog organizations.

The timing of this purchase coincides with widespread protests in Los Angeles, which erupted in early June following aggressive immigration enforcement actions by the Trump administration. These demonstrations have been marked by clashes between protesters and law enforcement, with reports indicating that some individuals have thrown bricks during the unrest. While there is no direct evidence linking the pallets purchased by the Democratic Party to the incidents in Los Angeles, the proximity of these events has intensified public scrutiny.

Trump signed measures today revoking waivers for the state’s mandates that clean up car and truck exhaust and ramp up sales of electric vehicles. California and 10 other states immediately sued and the governor ordered the air board to craft a new mandate.

Related: California will be pursuing those who set fire to the Waymo self-driving vehicles for the required fees for the "carbon offsets" needed to offset the CO2 emissions from the burning vehicles.
