As the Democrat Party Burns Down All of the Cities (Again), a CBS Poll Shows Firm Majority Support for Deportations

Another Insurrection Summer of Love.

A new CBS News poll shows most Americans support President Trump's immigration enforcement policies, crediting the program with improving public safety. But approval varies depending on perceptions of who's being deported and how the program is carried out.

Key Details:

A slight majority say the deportation program focuses on dangerous criminals, leading to strong support.

Republicans overwhelmingly approve, while Independents' support has cooled in recent months.

Most Americans say the policy improves safety, but concerns remain over due process and potential economic impact.

Diving Deeper:

President Trump's deportation strategy is receiving net-positive approval from a majority of Americans, according to a new CBS News/YouGov poll, as the administration doubles down on efforts to remove illegal aliens from the country. The results come amid a weekend of protests in Los Angeles and national debate over how far the policy should go -- and who exactly is being targeted.

The poll, conducted June 4--6 with over 2,400 respondents, found that while views on the scope of the deportation program vary, more Americans believe it's making the country safer. A slim majority said they believe the administration is prioritizing the deportation of individuals they consider dangerous criminals -- and those respondents overwhelmingly support the program.

Among Republicans, support is dominant and unshaken. CBS notes that "Trump's approval rating on immigration continues to be higher than his marks on the economy and inflation." Among Democrats and Independents, however, views are more fractured, particularly when deportations appear broader than expected or when legal residents are swept up.

The core of Trump's approach -- removing illegal aliens with criminal records -- is resonating. More Americans say they see the U.S. becoming safer because of the program than say the opposite. That perception is helping to insulate Trump from critics who argue the policies are overly aggressive.

I'll get another post up soon. I know this one is lame.

It doesn't matter if they are on the losing side, it doesn't matter if they are wrong.

They NEVER back down. They fought to get all these illegals in this country and THEY WILL DIE ON THIS HILL. ANY territory claimed by the left will be fought for with every ounce of their strength.

It would be impressive if they weren't fighting for evil in every case.

And it's particularly sad when you look at the cowards representing the right. (With a few prominent exceptions, that exist ONLY because Trump fought back.)

45 This is an act of desperation.

Reportedly, the foreign born population of the US has gone down by 750,000 in the first four months of Trump's second term. Forced deportations are only about 200,000.

A lot of foreign nationals are leaving of their own accord.

Also, the foreign born hold on the US labor market is decreasing. WaPo said this morning that those numbers have gone down by 1,000,000 in the last four months.

For all the strum and drung of the court cases, Trump's winning so much there with his "losses" being largely side-shows (the AEA case, which targets, at most a few thousand illegals) or clusterfucks around one guy (Garcia, who's having the book thrown at him, a legal loss that could end up being a political win).

All while Trump's popularity remains strong and the only people who seem to care about illegals being deported are white people born in 1948 in Massachusetts.

Also, NGO funding is drying up.

Act now before it's too late. Well, never mind that the action is going to piss off people in power and those who put them there. Just act. Do something.

Do something incredibly stupid.

What happened? The setup of J6 and leftists and agit prop media calling it an insurrection and unleashing the full weight of fedgov on trespassers with Lego U.S. Capitol models.

It would be a giant missed opportunity if Trump does not go all in on these people including deportations of any illegal arrested in the riots.

62 I see Bass is a typical Democrat. Federal can run everything when a Democrat is in office but as soon as a R is in office, it's "states rights."

Bass, of course, is playing the usual word games, trying to conflate legal and illegal immigration. However, it appears people are onto the game.

Also, Bass is demonstrating her abject stupidity, again. Illegals who live quietly and go on about their business don't want rioting criminals on their front doorstep, because it raises their profile too.

Unfettered illegal immigration is never popular.

From the 2008 Democrat platform:

"We need to secure our borders, and support additional personnel, infrastructure, and technology on the border and at our ports of entry. We need additional Customs and Border Protection agents equipped with better technology and real-time intelligence. We need to dismantle human smuggling organizations, combating the crime associated with this trade."

They just broke all the windows on the LAPD station. They’re burning vehicles, destroying property and looting. Your own LAPD is apparently releasing those arrested, the DA is already hinting at reduced sentences or dismissal of charges, and LAPD won’t be cooperating with the federal government or releasing any information on the perps.

The OBBB includes increases in ICE funding which could allow ICE to find and deport up to 7,000 illegals per day. With current staffing levels, they're doing 2,000 a day.

Trump has already gotten 1,000,000 people to leave while effectively shutting down influx migration.

If this continues for the next 4 years, including RNC efforts to clean up voter rolls, Democrats are in for an uphill battle there. If they lose in 2028, they lose the Census as well.

Get 2,000,000 out of CA alone, and CA could end up losing as many as 5-6 House seats.

Lots of other things going on (NGO money, remittances, etc), but the entire Democrat project for permanent power is collapsing.

Wow, sorry to hear that. When my brother's boys were little and their parents were divorcing, my mom would say to them as they were leaving our house, "Remember, Jesus loves you and so does Grandma." That's probably one of the many reasons the boys are still close to her after all these years.

The words "chaos" and "cruel" have gone out to all the Democrat spokes-tools. Every single one of them is using them. Also the lie that everything was peaceful until Trump initiated the violence.

How do the talking points get distributed?

LA polling:

Yes illegal immigrants are a problem: 45%
No, los inmigrantes indocumentados no son un problema: 55%

252 I think this rioting is only good for Trump if he does something about it. Send in the National Guard, the Marines, and step on them hard. Otherwise he looks as impotent as he did in Trump 1. He cannot back down.

256 The collapse of remittances going to Mexico, what effect will that have on the Mexican economy?
Posted by: Anna Puma at June 09, 2025 12:44 PM (aVx/C)

Losing between 2 - 15% of the income for Mexico is going to leave a mark. Probably be a recession since the remittances are hiding a lot of the fundamental inflation
