A copyright suit filed against Google by textbook publishers - the piratest pirates that ever pirated - has been forced to walk the plank. (TorrenFreak)

The claim was that by selling ad space for copies of the textbooks that were sometimes not entirely legitimate, Google was vicariously infringing.

Google said this was obvious bullshit and filed to dismiss.

The judge agreed.
Bambu Labs has removed third-party app support for its P and A series printers. (Tom's Hardware)

Gradually locking all users into its own ecosystem. It did the same thing to its X series earlier this year.

I used Norelcos for years. For a brief time I had a Braun shaver, and ditched it for another Norelco when the Braun's head foil stuck up a bit of metal and scratched my cheek.

Then, bugging out for a hurricane in '12, I forgot to pack the electric. Instead I bought a bag of disposable Bic razors and a can of Barbasol, and had the best shaves I'd gotten in years. Since then it's been safety razors with double-edge blades, and soap or cream whipped up with a brush, all the way.

Always had noticeable five o’clock shadow because they can only get so close.

Then the head foil broke one day and I started using a disposable.

Gillette for decades, until I got tired of their prices and their woke ads,

Now it’s been Schick for about five or six years.

I haven’t met an electric shaver yet that can cut as close as a razor.

I could probably get away with soap lather in a bind, but my skin is sensitive on some days and will get red, so I still use cream - Nivea for Sensitive Skin.

I also found a great Italian brand shaving balm last year called Proraso that I love.

It’s great if you get razor burn on your neck.
Not too thick like a lotion, smells nice without a cologne type smell, and doesn’t burn at all.
You do the two-fingers over the bottle shake, rub it in, and you don’t even know it was there ten minutes later.

IIRC, the problem was that if you accepted that software update, you could no longer use certain features the same as before, and it also prevented you from using third-party software, like slicing software, with the printer after the update.

So a lot of people were refusing the updates.

Now, from Pixy’s article, it seems Bambi is expanding that to basically their entire line of products.
