80 A couple of counties south of here is Pulaski county. One of the oldest towns in the state is there, at a river crossing. Some of my ancestors may have come thru there headed west. 30 miles west of there is a very small town that has the same name as my last name. Supposedly though, the guy that the town was named after was not really named that. He took up the name of a family he was traveling with because he was a fugitive.

I do t know what an Eastern Phoebe is; I'll have to look it up. Where FenSpouse and I feed the spayed and neutered cat colony, two vultures have decided it's free breakfast time. They're comical when they hop ,Ferocious bluejays who also want a free meal swoop to attack them. Also, it's kind of an interesting contrast to see what to me seems like a modern version of a bird/dinosaur - the vultures -sitting on a wooden fence right above a beautiful flowering rose bush cause vultures are ugly. Not to their mate, of couse😆

I don’t use Safari but I know there are browser extensions for Chrome-based and Mozilla/Firefox-based browsers that will allow you to turn off Autoplay completely, or in the one I use; allows you to turn off audio coming from each browser tab.

When a video/stream starts a speaker icon shows up in the tab header, I just click on that icon and it mutes that specific tab.

They do that around here.
It’s not uncommon to see police vehicles in driveways.

I don’t know if they drive them around for personal use, but many, if not all, police agencies let their officers take their vehicles home.

I’m often impressed when I see a police cruiser parked at a house here from a department that’s in another suburb 30 miles away.

I don’t know how much police presence will count for when you’re so far out of your jurisdiction but they let them do it and nobody has complained as far as I know.

198 The police who work locally around here can take their vehicles home. There was one parked at a house in our little town for a couple months. Must have been on the night shift because the SUV was always in the driveway during the day.

I also think they get some sort of sweetheart deal on rent/mortgage rates because they seem to move around an awful lot. Always trading "up" to nicer digs.
