The Morning Report — 6/ 5 /25

WTHUSA.jpg

Good morning kids.

An 88-year-old Holocaust survivor who was burned in Sunday’s alleged terror attack in Boulder, Colorado, shares a message for the rest of Americans, saying, “We are better than this,” before asking, “What the hell is going on in our country?” Barbara Steinmetz, a Holocaust survivor and the eldest of the 12 victims wounded in Sunday’s Boulder terror attack, told NBC News that she and other members of the group Run for Their Lives were “peacefully” advocating for the remaining Israeli hostages held by Hamas when they were suddenly firebombed.

"Alleged" terror attack? Really Breitbart?

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON IN OUR COUNTRY?" Well, That is the multi century multi-trillion dollar question of all time, isn't it? And the answer of course for anyone who has been paying attention and/or mercifully not on the receiving end or was otherwise able to tune out the past few decades of the worst of the American educational/indoctrinational system, the socialist/progressive movement and its epicenter in the DEMOCRAT PARTY.

Until my dying day, everything wrong with this country, all the unnecessary, pain, death and suffering, waste of money and wasted lives and human potential are the fault of and/or have been massively exacerbated by the aforementioned in their evil pursuit of absolute power and control almost since the founding of the Republic.

Day in and day out, week in and week out the links in this report and even that which is reported in the legacy propaganda press, no matter how they try to spin it otherwise, is a chronicle of this destruction.

Arguably the worst of it all, is the corruption of our judicial system. Yes, those jurists who are Leftists will subvert, pervert and bastardize the Constitution in service to the attainment of absolute power for their ideological chieftains and fellow travelers even if it means the persecution of the politically disfavored. Be it the railroading of President Trump, the J-6 protesters, as well as Derek Chauvin and other police officers merely attempting to keep the peace and the public safe by carrying out their oaths to serve, protect and defend the citizenry by upholding the law.
Those who are not leftists either cannot do or worse will not do what they can to stop the perversion of the Constitution and the individual rights and liberties enshrined in them.

On a completely separate note, CBD and I pondered what the hell is with this Big Beautiful Bill? I thought the Trump presidency was about stopping the spending and borrowing madness. Is this not antithetical to DOGE? Meh, all government, even the most benign is inherently evil, but perhaps a necessary evil. I don't want to make it more "efficient." I want to defang and dismantle it as much as possible while leaving only the most necessary elements intact to ensure the functioning and stability of the civil society.

And lastly, a quick shout-out and thank you for your continued support in hitting our tip jar. It truly is appreciated more than you can know.

Have a great day.

Regarding DOGE, I don’t blame Musk for being frustrated but trying to blow up the BBB is not smart. Don’t make the perfect the enemy of the good; given the current makeup of the GOP it’s probably the best we can get. Musk could’ve been more effective arguing behind the scenes for improvements. You can negotiate the price of a 737 Max down to around 100 Million. So you can buy 10 planes a year. So you can make around 8 flights per day LA to SF (or San Jose to Orange County).
8 x 150 (typ seating on a 737) 1200 X 10 - 12,000.
For a Billion you can move over 10,000 back and forth from SoCal to NorCal.

“We at HIAS have been so blessed to have Ali Mayorkas on our board of directors, and are thrilled to have him nominated to be the next Secretary of Homeland Security,” said HIAS President and CEO Mark Hetfield. “Ali has consistently demonstrated that he is not only a strong and highly respected leader, but an empathetic one who knows the heart of the stranger, as the child of a Holocaust survivor, as a Latino, and as a refugee and immigrant himself. Ali is uniquely suited to rebuild public trust in the Department of Homeland Security as he knows that America is at its greatest when we build bridges, not walls.”

73 I suppose it depends on who you believe. Russ Vought, Trump Director of OMB who is quoted in a link above, strongly disagrees that the bill adds to spending. Just the opposite, he claims it cuts bigly. It can't be both.

We have long thought some iteration of this to be the answer. I don't agree. Not because 'that's not who we are,' or any such crap, but because it won't work. It won't work because they don't care.

They voluntarily surrendered A THOUSAND elected positions across the nation to pass Obamacare. They destroyed the judicial filibuster to advance their power a single time.

They. Don't. Care. About. Consequences.

Now, the counter-point is that they've never had to BEAR the consequences they've imposed on the Right and I concede that's true. But the data we have suggests they won't care about those consequences either.

103 I have a modest proposal about how to rename the USNS Harvey Milk and a shout out for the anniversary of the Battle of Midway.

On the aerial Battle of Britain in 1940, Churchill said:
"Never in the field of human conflict was so much owed by so many to so few"

American carrier pilots then said: Hold my beer!, as even fewer won the day at Midway. The US had great intel from broken codes but it was still the nearest run thing.

Our first wave of attack on the Japanese carriers was torpedo bombers that got entirely wiped out. But this alerted the Japanese that American carriers were near so they had their aircraft exposed on their carrier decks getting fueled before take-off when the American second wave of dive bombers hit. Ten minutes that changed the course of the war.

The lone survivor of that first wave was pilot George Henry Gay Jr. So why not rename the ship the USNS Gay. We'd have a ship named after a Gay that every sailor would be proud to serve on.

This was Netgear. The quick summary is that I bought an Ethernet extender off of Amazon. One of the units was defective out of the box. Instead of letting Amazon handle it, I submitted an RMA with Netgear.

It took close to a month to get to this point. The Post Office dropped the ball on delivering the device and then Netgear denied that it was ever delivered even though the tracking number said otherwise.

The simple and rational solution would have been just send the device out (You people are in TN and I'm in MD!) that day. But you have to deal with India to get things resolved.

However, I am happy with the products themselves. Just don't use them for warranty returns unless you have no choice.

142 Sadly there are too many self gassers in the country, saying dumb shit like Barbara Steinmetz. And in the world. The October 7 rave that was attacked by Hamas was a ‘peace’ celebration by delusional Jews hoping to sing kumbaya with their murderers.

Oh and I don’t believe Steinmetz is actually a holocaust survivor. Nobody can go through that and still sympathize with murderous Jew-haters. Maybe she was on the side of the Nazis?

Posted by: Elric the Bladiest Blade at June 05, 2025 08:21 AM (l4Twj)

143 From that story: Many of the ideas that led to the Holocaust still exist today: “We could easily have- look at all the racism that’s going on.” Steinmetz remarked. “[Racism] has been the driver of much of what’s going on, you know. It’s the driver, and the fear.”

--

I already know the answer, but does she equate this racism to the Egyptian and others like him that are wreaking havoc in America now that they're here? No, I'll surmise she's leaving that assailing comment directed towards Americans. I don't need to hear her tired admonishments about us. I hate to say it, but it's really apparent to those willing to look that she brought this "what the hell's happening in America" in, coddled it, babied it, kissed it and now the venomous snakes are biting because that's their nature. And yet she wonders what's happening and why. Amazing.

I don't know about ignorant. It's certainly a reasonable opinion.

That said, I think violence has a way of beginning with a single spark, especially when it's over something that a majority of people believe in. My concern is that we have an uneasy peace as long as the Left is seen as marginalized and ineffective. If they start getting serious traction again in subverting the will of the people, I think the danger increases, with normally peaceful people suddenly rethinking their positions.

That can’t be denied, but deny it she already has as she waxes on about her humanitarian beliefs.

They were shocked to find ISIS immediately gave them to their fighters as sex slaves. Or maybe the surprise was that the reality of this was nothing as exciting and sexy as 50 Shades of Grey or The Handmaid's Tale.

I have been vocalizing the same message. Saving Democracy is priority #1. Without getting a little more control over what is happening, how can one be sure of a free and fair election. BTW - why aren't the courts stopping the grifter from taking over the FEC?

Just today someone insisted that we forget the stolen election and focus solely on 2026.

I sure hope the DSCC and the DCCC aren't taking Murphy's advice

What is there not enough of us to do both? we need to bring a shitstorm is what - all hands on deck! we need to prepare for every scenario if you ask me...including another civil war...

In some part of him, he expected an irresistible political momentum to build around it. In idealistic theory, it should have. DOGE was (is) indeed a historic reform event. But he watched the administration support become distracted and drain away. One could see the weary awareness etched on his face in the WH farewell event. 300 “A conservative is a liberal that’s been mugged”; problem is they got mugged a long time ago. The remnant have a death wish. There aren’t any un-mugged liberals remaining. They will not change their world view, far too damaging to their psyche. Admitting that they were wrong about so much for so long isn’t going to happen.

“Your death before their dishonor” is how Dalrymple put it. You or your children may have to die, but that is a small matter to maintain their insular world view. It’s a form of hypnosis, I’m pretty sure.

If Catholics have an extremist world view comparable to Islam (according to the FBI) then why is the government de facto importing Moslems? Makes no sense, unless they have something else up their sleeve or there’s more to the story, eh?

311 287 It's obvious the crooks' plan is to fuck with Trump via the judiciary until he defies them, and then impeach with the senate's concurrence.
***
In a nutshell. The first step is to understand the scheme for what it is. The second is to build public awareness. This is where Trump is falling short. His "warnings" are not adequate, and send the wrong message of expectations/pending action to his base. He needs an aggressive campaign of public awareness, using members of his own legal team along with outside legal scholars (e.g., Dershowitz and Turley). Also, a national address, laying out in everyman terms this Constitutional transgression. Prepare the battlefield. Ultimately, there may be no other answer than defiance.

That's why I recommended you listen to the Russ Vought clip I mentioned above.

BBB and DOGE cuts are two entirely different issues. One deals with mandatory spending and one with discretionary spending. BBB is for mandatory spending and that is being dealt with now. The first DOGE cut was sent by the Trump White House to the House this week and it appears to be on track for a vote next week are the first of the discretionary spending cuts. There will be more and there will even be some spending that doesn't need to be cut through legislation because it was only authorized as a one time payment.

They went after Cheney before going after BushII.

358 How come Democrats have no problems following “the rules”. They gave us Obamacare, the IRA (which is really the green new deal bill) and all sorts of other shit.

Because they are corrupt pieces of shit which you know so why bother asking?

The left has spent decades weaponizing DC against us. Everybody here knows that. They don't face the same rules or justice we do. Boo hoo. That's the facts.

That's why we needed a freaking DOGE in the first place because there has so much institutional corruption put in place that they can impeach and nearly remove our president for a freaking phone call while they ride with a corrupt, senile dunce who wasn't even running the country and we can't so squat. Should we have called Merrick Garland's DOJ to investigate?

Trump is trying to fix a system that literally shot him in the head. It's always harder for us and we haven't played by the same rules in decades.

“The independent non-partisan Congressional Budget Office confirmed today that Donald Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill will rip away health care from millions of people and increase the debt by $2.4 trillion...

399 The South Africa article by Arthur Schaper? All I can say is the author is misguided. I guess he has not lived there to experience the apprehension of returning home and wondering if one will be car-jacked at the garage door, or even killed. That's just one for urban residents, on farms it can be even more dire.
White South Africans can go to Europe in some case but mostly have no ready recourse to the problem that in Africa life is cheap. I have no problem with welcoming these people here. We take in refugees from all sorts of 3rd world countries, people that have no similarities to us, cultural, religious and so on. These people will assimilate unlike our massive influx of 3rd worlders.
