The Mullahs Are Playing A Long Game For Nuclear Weapons, And We Are Getting Fooled

The Mad Mullahs of the Iranian Revolution fooled the West with their rhetoric, then promptly became the biggest supporter of Islamic terror across the globe. 45 years later they are still playing their long game, which is nothing more than lying to get what they want. Lying is like breathing to them, and there are none better at it (except maybe the Qataris!).

Their goal is simple... build nuclear weapons with which to destroy Israel and then the West. They have no pressing need for nuclear energy, and the "civilian" research they claim to be doing is hugely expensive and could be easily bypassed with a simple request for any number of Western nations to build nuclear power stations for them.

The huge, probably insurmountable problem with the West's idea that negotiations will work is that the Mullahs and their lunatic ersatz religion have no concept of negotiation that leads to anything other than victory. Hell, it is codified in their religious texts. They can lie and cheat and steal and break all sorts of their religious laws in furtherance of that goal.

US presents nuclear proposal to Iran as uranium stockpile surges

The US submitted its first formal nuclear proposal to Iran on Saturday, only hours after UN inspectors revealed a sharp increase in Tehran's stockpile of near-weapons-grade uranium, The New York Times reported.
The proposal, described by officials as bullet points rather than a full draft, urges Iran to stop uranium enrichment and join a regional nuclear power consortium with the US, Saudi Arabia, and other Arab nations.

Oh good! The mad Mullahs are being "urged" to stop doing what they are absolutely dedicated to doing. That should work!

Iran warned Sunday it will retaliate if European powers “exploit” UN reports showing it has stepped up production of highly enriched uranium and detailing its past secretive nuclear activities.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said in a statement he had told International Atomic Energy Agency chief Rafael Grossi in a phone call that “Iran will respond to any inappropriate action by the European parties,” referring to Britain, France and Germany.
His remarks were made after the UN nuclear watchdog released a confidential report to member states detailing Iran’s secret nuclear activities with material not declared to the agency at three locations that have long been under investigation.
Another report issued by the agency found that Iran had sharply increased its stockpile of uranium enriched to up to 60 percent, close to the roughly 90 percent level needed for atomic weapons.

This is a messianic, revolutionary, violent regime chastising the West for having the temerity to use the undeniable facts of Iran's nuclear ambitions to call for some sort of accounting. Nothing backed with credible threats of violence, and yet the Mullahs are mortally offended that somebody had the temerity to call a spade a spade. Or a wog a wog, as the case may be.

Trump says US, Iran 'fairly close' to reaching nuclear deal

US President Donald Trump on Friday reiterated his belief that Washington was “fairly close” to reaching a nuclear deal with Iran.
“I think we have a chance of making a deal with Iran,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.
“They don’t want to be blown up. They would rather make a deal, and I think that could happen in the not-too-distant future,” he continued, adding that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
Iranian officials said Trump’s threat to destroy the nation’s nuclear facilities was a clear red line and would have severe consequences.

And here we have the real problem. Any deal will be ignored immediately, and Iran will go farther underground and continue to play their tried-and-true games. But Donald Trump believes that he is the greatest deal maker on earth and can exact concessions that nobody has ever gotten from the Iranian dictators.

And the mad Mullahs just love it! It's a game that they have been playing for 1,400 years, and they are simply better at it than anyone in the West, including President Trump. A better game would be: Allow unrestricted access for our inspectors to every single site that we identify, or we are going to send in the B-52s for an extended period of bombing, and then bombing again until the rubble bounces.

That is the only thing that the Mullahs are afraid of. Because if it happens, the people of Iran will have concrete proof that the Mullahs cannot protect Iran from the West, and that their 45 year reign of terror and poverty has led to nothing but misery. At that point the people may very well rise up and throw out the Mullahs. But that would be a bonus...the real goal for the West and President Trump should be the total destruction of the Iranian nuclear program.

Anything else will be a defeat, and will move us closer to a regional nuclear exchange. And who knows what the other nuclear lunatics in Pakistan and North Korea might do in response? Is it worth finding out just for the sake of a deal?

It depends on if the A/c is on alert (we keep a few fighters and bombers on alert at all times), if they're going to on a training sortie, if they're in maintenance, etc. When I was at Elmendorf our hangar could only store 8 birds out of an 18-ship squadron. The rest were on the line.

I had hopes Trump could get it done by the end of the year, but that's pie in the sky now.

Trump is literally the only leader involved who wants this to end as the war stands now. He is willing to concede to Russia's demands.

The EUies don't want it to end because they're using it as an excuse to build up their longed for EU Army, and this is the crisis they can't afford to let go to waste.

Z wants it to end only when Ukraine gets back to it's pre-2014 borders.

Putin wants it to end, but only when he controls the Donbas, and can declare victory with or without an agreement.

At current odds, my money is on Putin.
