62 I enjoy Boudin's seascapes. According to his Wiki page he was the first French painter to work outdoors for his paintings. To me, that explains the sense of spontaneity in the scenes. Between the colors of sky and water and the movement of the crashing surf he really captures the feel of an oceanside storm. Maybe from my own background but I could easily imagine the sounds of the pounding waves, feel the moisture on the wind and smell the ozone and salt. Also, the power of an ocean storm. Very effective.

134 'Traitor!' Onlookers appalled at Trump's latest admission
Social media reaction was swift and furious Tuesday after President Donald Trump posted a Truth Social message telling Vladimir Putin he has protected the Russian president from "really bad things."

"What Vladimir Putin doesn’t realize is that if it weren’t for me, lots of really bad things would have already happened to Russia, and I mean REALLY BAD," Trump wrote. "He’s playing with fire!"

The Bulwark's Sam Stein expressed his incredulity on X, posting, "Trump just casually telling everyone he's been helping out Putin?" while anti-Trump Republican group The Lincoln Project declared, "There it is. Trump confirms what we've said all along - he's been protecting Putin this entire time."

This is actually treason. Russia is our enemy and we are involved in NATO activity against them. This should be it for him, but it won't be.

But Trump argues Venezuela invading the US, so we're 'at war' to justify his illegal actions with immigrants. Amazing how GOP views on traitors and war varies depending on who's doing what to whom.

For about 3 years I rented a house on Del Monte Beach in Monterey, CA. It's technically on the Monterey Bay, not the Pacific Ocean, but man, during the winter and the storms would blow in... the whole house shook when the waves would pound the sand. And we were a block off of the actual beach facing road.

But at other times, just hearing the waves with the windows open and the salty sea breeze drifting in was awesome.

He built what looks like a beautiful mansion very close to the ocean, but if you know what you're looking for, you can suddenly see the entire structure is extra-thick concrete, with almost ballistic-level glass. Immigrants rely on the government dole and congregate in blue area, so they tend to vote Dem when they can and increase blue congressional representation. All the forecasts showing blue states losing representatives and electoral college votes due to the 2030 census are based primarily on internal citizen movement. You deport 10-20 million people on top of that, and the Blue areas get hammered.

Plus, tons of immigrants depress wages and give AWFLs a virtue signaling causes. All Dem wins.

“I think most Californians would wonder how it can be a modern election if non citizens are serving on an election board overseeing the election — That's not an insult, that's common sense”

“Most 3rd world countries have something called an election day, not an election month. We're actually on track to having an election quarter here in California because our elections actually start 30 days prior to election day through mail in ballots ...

California cannot "leave" the Union except by means of a Constitutional amendment. Canadian provinces have a much easier go because the Articles of Confederation, the courts, and Quebec have made the exit process far less strenuous. CA commies are so deeply entrenched that it is not unforeseeable that a future president might declare CA to be in a state of rebellion. Then things get frisky.
