@VigilantFox Trump forces South African President to watch video of Afrikaner families mourning loved ones killed in a genocide the media won’t talk about. “Each one of those white things you see is a cross, and there's approximately a thousand of them.” In front of reporters and cameras, Trump continued exposing the horror of what’s happening to White farmers in South Africa—this time with undeniable footage. He rolled the tape. What played was a roadside memorial—thousands of crosses, a line of cars stopped in silence. “These are burial sites. Right here. Burial sites, over a thousand of White farmers and those cars are lined up to pay love on a Sunday morning.” “Each one of those white things you see is a cross, and there's approximately a thousand of them. They're all White farmers, the family of White farmers.” “And those cars aren't driving, they're stopped there to pay respects to their family member who was killed.” “It's a terrible sight, I've never seen anything like it.” “Both sides of the road you have crosses.” Ramaphosa scrambled to respond: “Have they told you where that is, Mr. President?” “I'd like to know where that is... Maybe we just shouldn't have an administrative state so vast that the president's signature has to be automated. If you are for crippling the current system without being for doing what's necessary to cripple it and build a replacement for it, you probably are either 1) just bellyaching for attention or katharsis or 2) ought not to be saying so on a public pseudo-anonymous platform.
You want things to change, you need someone to have the power to change it. Kneecapping the power and political momentum of the precious few who at least appear to be making successful efforts to begin tangibly changing things for the better doesn't make you a hero, especially if you're only in the first category previously mentioned. Throwing your toys and being a prick because you can't understand that everything ceteris is not always paribus makes you a fool whose noises are devoid of meaningful opinion. Star Wars has the highest "ceiling", but has written/painted itself into a corner. I don't see how they can ever reach that "ceiling" again since they would have to-write/re-imagine their canon to get their. Rank: 2nd Star Trek: de-facto #1 rank. The first hour is cut too slowly, feeling more like a drama than a comedy. The final half hour is hilarious and worth the price of admission.
Literally just watched it (again) last night. It hits everything I hate in movies/television, and somehow makes a movie I enjoy. It is the very opening and, as you said, the last half hour, that really makes it worthwhile, though. Youre going to have a magical life. But neither she nor Lawrence said squat (that I recall) about Weinstein during #MeToo. Goop said he made a pass or exposed himself to her and Brad threatened him. >>According to Professor Frank Bowman, a law professor at the University of Missouri, told the VERIFY team, “The pardon itself could, under certain circumstances, constitute a free standing crime. I mean, the easiest kind of example is if somebody paid a bribe to get a pardon. And the President accepted a bribe, to get a pardon, or to give a pardon… and that would be the crime of bribery.”
Clinton, Obama, Bush Sr., LBJ ... these are Presidents who have all tacitly admitted to, been accused of or expressly sold Pardons. Just off the top of my head. I remain steadfast in my assertion that this will be filed under : Nothing Ever Happens. Hopefully I am wrong and you can hit the bong and take a victory lap. Watched Dr. Who when I was a yute. My brother and I enjoyed it.
Haven't watched it in several decades, tho. I did see where they went the "gay and woke" direction and completely destroyed the franchise, but British, so....... Posted by: Sponge - F*ck Cancer at May 21, 2025 03:47 PM (Zz0t1) When even the Metro Brits are saying you went too woke, you've gone too far indeed. In my Ozu kick, I went as far as identifying the streets and cities where scenes were shot. Which is a real treat using Google Maps.
I even figured out where the ski mountain he visited was in one of his old silent films. It was a mountain I too had visited years ago and it was wild seeing it before it was developed. Posted by: bob (moron incognitus) at May 21, 2025 03:56 PM (6aclC) 455
Getting it into a DC court could be an issue because they are obviously corrupt as hell but there is no doubt that the president or any government official taking an official act for a bribe is illegal.
Posted by: JackStraw at May 21, 2025 03:54 PM (viF8m) Well if DC courts can rule on anything in the world like planes over the Gulf of America, we can convene a pardon busting court anywhere we like. Posted by: Oldcat at May 21, 2025 03:57 PM (8avO+) 456

I haven't seen Dr. Who since the fifth one- Peter Davison. Posted by: FenelonSpoke at May 21, 2025 03:51 PM (e2S7u) The few I saw was Tom Baker, with the big scarves. Posted by: Oldcat at May 21, 2025 03:59 PM (8avO+) 458

Tom Baker was great. From what I read the show lost the humor with going woke. I watched Peter Davison only I loved him in the original "All Creatures Great and Small." Posted by: FenelonSpoke at May 21, 2025 04:02 PM (e2S7u) 459
So yeah, I'm firmly in the camp now, that Weinstein is a creep, but didn't do anything he was convicted of.
Posted by: BurtTC at May 21, 2025 03:48 PM (24xYU) Oh, I think he DID whip out his deformed peen from his robe in his hotel rooms for starlets. I forget who watched the potted plant show. I can tell you honestly that an ambulance would be called, and not for me once I finished surgery on him. I would not have hung around for the potted plant deal. It was the stupid girls, wanting fame, who complied to Weinstein. Casting couches are not new. Maybe they did not get their Oscar and then screamed #MeToo. I don't think he held a gun to their heads for their service. They submitted to him by consent and action. I somehow had enough self esteem, on top of fear of what my parents would think, than to pose nekkid in college. One painting would have paid well, but I said no. God knows what the model guy from Revlon was about. Both of these happened on campus. Pervs walk freely then and now, along with serial killers. Way before the Internet I figured somehow my father would find out. I was very naive but not stupid. Morals my parents taught ran deep and when I say no I mean it.
