Barbecue as created by God was meant to be enjoyed with Kansas City style sauce served over burnt ends, sliced brisket, or pork (not beef) ribs. God doesn't mind that Texans found another good way to enjoy meat, but he frowns on whatever buggery is going on with mustard and white sauces.

21 Okay, getting in the pool. I hear it has not reached the bathtub temp I enjoy, but asking to turn the heater on in July results in being given dirty looks and reminded I live on the gulf coast of Alabama. It will be good to get a little sun anyway, I am slightly translucent at the moment. I am skipping sunscreen except for my face.

Later on when I complain I have a sunburn on my stomach, y’all remind me bad decisions usually equal bad consequences.

Our oldest son was in the Boy Scouts in Florida. He went to the Boy Scout camp for many years.

Well, we found later, thank goodness, that as a camp counselor that one of his responsibilities in the morning was to go down to the dock on the river and run the alligators off the dock. They had to clear out the gators so the kids could swim, canoe, etc.

Living in Florida is an experience.

56 Flash floods out in the Edwards Plateau (starts about Kerrville and points west) are terrible, the limestone in most of it is within a few inches of the surface, so the ground absorbs very little. That’s why in a tight little valley, water levels can go from 2’ deep to 32’ deep in a few hours. It’s usually pretty dry, so people get caught by surprise each time it happens.

Very few of the artists and bands that lasted don't acknowledge where they got their influence

I would say that why the sound of the "classic rock" era has lasted for more than 60 years is mostly because the originators at least understood professional song crafting so when they added more oopmf and feel and deepness, they still understood how to craft a song. People now, unless they are educated musicians, grew up on rap music and video game music so that's what's inside them.

84 >>How would a hit-man just suddenly have a nun's habit?

One of the funniest conversations I've ever had is with the neighbors who live behind my place. I used travel a lot for work and would be gone for weeks at a time.

They were always nice but seemed a bit distant. When I left that job and was around more we had drinks one afternoon on the patio. I asked them why we hadn't done this sooner they told me they thought I was a hitman and that's why I traveled so much and they were a bit afraid. Of me.

I asked them if I looked like a hitman and they said isn't that what a hitman would say?

I actually don't have a nun's habit. Not yet.
