The most seals I've ever seen in one place was the Chatham Fish Pier on Cape Cod. Hundreds of them, some weighing 500+ pounds, just flopped on a barrier beach, others swimming around. I think I saw one eat a gull, it happened fast. The gray seals are like manatee-sized.

Black powder is odd.
I have a Navy Colt in .44. It shoots a .458 ball ideally... the .452 doesn't leave the good swage I depend on. So... something north of .45? Posted by: MkY Yeah, it really is. Pistol hoes over and rifle goes under. A 44 cal pistol runs best at .454 or .457 whereas a .50 cal rifle runs best with a .490 round ball and a .018 pillow ticking patch. @Buck Throckmorton: I have seen your friend Monte and his band play at the Parker Jazz Club and man what a blast. I'm sorry it was his boy at the center of the AISD fiasco -- that acronym needs to be reordered to reflect how diseased of an organization it is. The connection lies in the shared etymology of the name, rooted in Russian for "white," applied to both the whale (for its appearance) and the sturgeon (for its caviar or physical traits).

The neighborhood golf cart parade is over -- there were about six dozen carts in it, and all were decorated for Independence Day. Missus KvC helped our next door neighbor pop popcorn, bag it, and hand it out to folks in the parade. I showed up near the end to fill a few more bags and then I began cleaning out the popping cart and sweeping up items that had fallen to the ground.
