My guess is that the UK police arrested a British guy who was going after the actual terrorist/driver after the vehicle came to a stop.

Not only the most beautiful spot in San Diego - panoramic views of the entire county, of course the ocean, down into Mexico - but a quiet spectacular cemetery perched above the ocean on one side, the harbor on the other.

Just inside the main gate at the HQ, there's a MOH recipient, the officer who rescued hundreds on the USS Franklin as she burned off Japan during the March '45 carrier raids.

I like to wander and read the headstones. So far I've ID'd at least three Japanese-Americans, two almost certainly intel, the third clearly 442nd ("Go for Broke" on his inscription). One also sees couples interred next to each other (one of my 6th grade teachers, and his wife who was a Marine during the war). Of course most there not KIA, but still a great place to read tidbits and ponder fuller stories.

58 Just watched "The Last Castle" (2001) with Robert Redford and James Gandolfini.

Redford is a well-respected Vietnam veteran General who survived Hanoi Hilton, but was court-martialed for defying orders on a later mission where his actions led to 8 men ending up dead.

The military prison he goes to is run by Gandolfini with questionable tactics to keep order. Redford's character earns the respect of the military inmates but draws the ire of warden Gandolfini for a comment he overhears Redford make about him.

Inspiring story of the general rallying the military inmates to take over the prison from the corrupt warden.

yeah, we should know by now who the driver was. Only pic I saw looked like a ~30 year old ... could be white or Iraqi, or Iranian ... certainly not pale white, but not clear that is really the driver/terrorist.

Since we don't know by now, seems more likely they are playing "hide the terrorist", the game the media loves to play.

96 Fellow radio Morons: I don't know if you've been on the air today, but the band conditions are terrible. It took me 90 minutes to make 4 contacts during this morning's SOTA hike. Yesterday as I was about to grill the fish there was a sound down the valley, obscured by the gigantic ficus. I moved to a better vantage point, and sure enough, 5 AT-6s, in V formation, flying east. I think they're a club, have seen them fly over shooting matches in east county some Saturdays in the past. "The sound of round" as the 5 radial engines roared over. One is a flight-seeing plane at Montgomery Field (site of that jet crash this past week), not sure where the others live.

Seems like 100% accurate and entertaining
would be herculean task. A bridge too far.

A movie should be entertaining not insulting one's intelligence and in presentations like BoB contextually accurate or plausible. In other words, a veteran could watch the movie and say, Not that it happened exactly that way but yes that is the way things happened.

I've mentioned this before but on one of my last trips to South Africa my taxi driver from the airport my hotel was young black guy who was in school to get his business degree and driving a cab to pay his bills. About a 1/2 hour drive to the hotel and he never stopped trashing Obama and the rest of the race industry in terms I can't use here. Aside from words I can't use a very articulate and smart young man.

That was an eye opener.

Yes. Don't know what it will be, there's a lot of in fighting and the old guard will be out mostly in '26 and completely in '28. The Dems are may be a complete menagerie of wild eyed Communist/Nihilists by then.

The Republicans will also be a different party. Trump worked the last four years getting idealists elected, while weeding out e's, and he continues to do so while supporting those elected.
Our party will be much different than McConnell's e party.
