Report: DOJ Investigating Andrew Cuomo for Lying to Congress About His Murder of Thousands of Grandparents By Packing Them Into the Nursing Homes During Covid

The Department of Justice has reportedly launched a criminal investigation into former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo for allegedly lying to Congress about his role in downplaying COVID-related nursing home deaths. Key Details: The New York Times reported Tuesday that the investigation is focused on whether Cuomo misled Congress during a June 11th, 2024, interview in which he denied reviewing or editing a July 2020 nursing home death report. Evidence reviewed by House Republicans reportedly includes internal emails and handwritten edits suggesting Cuomo did, in fact, participate in shaping the report, which undercounted deaths by as much as 46%. Cuomo's team has dismissed the investigation as "lawfare and election interference," while advocacy group Voices for Seniors called the probe "justified" and "overdue." They tried to reup covid fear multiple times after places started to open up, but the path towards opening never stopped. Even when it was all over, I remember the stories of "COVID is coming back!" that everyone ignored.
Covid specifically is dead as a weapon like that.
Will it work with another virus? It seems like too many people were fooled and know it to allow it to happen again.
And covid was kind of perfect. The personal climate change that will literally kill you.
I think the breakage between the people and institutions that pushed it is generational and there won't be mass acceptance again for a long time. Not never (the Spanish flu had similar fear factors). But a long time.

I recommend getting it. A low percentage of people have severe after-effects. Those do not last very long. You have to balance that risk against getting shingles. Every dermatologist and other MD I've asked about shingles told me: You DO NOT WANT to get shingles.

Coach lit a fire under them; we came alive. Little started the rally with an RBI single, followed by three more to end the inning 4-7. Then we held them in the 4th and ran up another 6 runs, with little getting an RBI double, one of his best hits of the year. Our closing pitcher came in and further demoralized them. (He is a 12 year old mutant, pitching 14 year old speeds). We held them in the 5th and ran up another 6 runs to end the inning, 16-7.
We held them scoreless in the top of the 6th, including a magnificent jumping catch of a line drive to second base, our shortest player. (I would swear he jumped twice his height, and must've began jumping before the batter even connected. It was amazing.)
It was a fun and inspiring game to watch, and little got the game ball not just for his standout consistent performance (3 for 3, 2 RBIs, etc.) but for his determination and attitude that helped carry the team forward from the early drubbing.

I got it because I have a girlfriend that got the shingles when she was 55 and it was horrible. All around her upper waist, painful and hurt badly and lasted 3 months. I rolled the dice and got mine but it did knock me out for 2 days until I could return to work. If you do decide to get it, schedule it with the thought in mind that it may lay you low for a few days.

It's playoffs/championship now, so everything is in flux, especially with spring weather. I don't yet know when next game is. We'll be doing more regular games when summer all stars begins in June.
There will be a tournament Jully 11-13, with many games those days, and I typically help prep fields so will be around all day.

I got it because I have a girlfriend that got the shingles when she was 55 and it was horrible. All around her upper waist, painful and hurt badly and lasted 3 months. I rolled the dice and got mine but it did knock me out for 2 days until I could return to work. If you do decide to get it, schedule it with the thought in mind that it may lay you low for a few days.

I got my shingles vaccine because I didn't want to get shingles. It was a real zinger, and I was sluggish for a day or two. But I haven't contracted shingles! I also get the yearly flu shot because as a diabetic respiratory flu really messes me up, and it allows me to handwave inquiries to Covid boosters. (Covid is after all a man-altered flu strain.)

Anyway, got both shingles vaccines after seeing several severe examples in people I know. No reaction of any kind, as has been my uniform experience with all shots (apart from muscle soreness from DT boosters due to the formaldehyde, of course).

This reminds me of cold sores, i.e., herpes simplex 1. It used to be so ubiquitous people never really thought about it (in many of my school photos I’ve got a cold sore and no apparent embarrassment). Then, once you get it, it keeps coming back under stress (for me, at least) in the same location.
It doesn’t seem to be as common today, yet there’s no vaccine for it. Or are there ways of hiding it (cue Hamlet 2) that I’m unaware of?

My mom did too. It wasn't covid related, but the horseshit we had to endure just to get her estate wrapped up was a nightmare. And the drive down to NC from my place here in KY in May 2020 was fucking surreal. Hardly any traffic. Hunting for an open gas station... finding food available.

I drive from Austin area to Michigan regularly for family. The first two-thirds of the drive is through either Arkansas or Oklahoma, and rural Missouri. You’re right, it’s an absolutely wonderful drive for just about every reason I drive rather than fly: the natural wonders, the people, the stops.

Congratulations to you on your upcoming retirement in 6 months - wish I could say the same. Are you looking at taking a job as a security officer? If you would like to still carry a real gun, etc. there is also the VA Hospital in Philly which may pay better + government benefits. Each VA has it's own Federal Police force and after hire, no matter your prior experience, you have to go to their training center in Little Rock, AR for several weeks. I know nothing about that VA but it may be worth checking out. I have a feeling that you may want to keep your life a lot simpler and not deal with the Gov side of things.

I think the Cleveland Clinic has since done a very large study of its employees that showed little or negative impact on either infection or severity from the shots. Separate issue, sorta. But I still wonder how they construct a control group to exclude subjects whose resistance (naturally) is different due to prior infection.

Mrs. Sock has been the office administrator for our local SD's home school program for 20 years. The state doesn't even try to hide its animosity anymore. I wanted her to retire at the end of this school year. She's saying 2 more years. Every year gets a little harder and her cynicism bubbles closer to the surface.
