"A Restoration of... Trust:" FDA Will Stop Recommending the Clot-Shot to Anyone Under 65

So they've joined the Russian Conspiracy Theory too.

Did you know that the FDA approval process for the COVID vaccines does not require that the shots be safe and effective?
It doesn't, and never has. All that has been required is that the vaccines be proven to increase antibodies, which is a very low and atypical standard.

Vaccine approval for people over 65--those who face the greatest risk from COVID and who are most likely to have a favorable risk/reward profile--will remain the same as before, but for anybody under 65, the approval standard will be the more common and more stringent standard of proven clinical benefit.

From the Free Press:

In a paper published today in The New England Journal of Medicine, Martin Makary, the commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, and Vinay Prasad, the newly appointed head of the FDA's vaccine division, have unveiled a new policy in which the government will no longer recommend Covid booster shots for healthy Americans ages 64 and younger.
In addition, as of today, Covid vaccine manufacturers like Moderna and Pfizer will have to conduct trials to prove that their updated vaccines offer clinical benefits such as fewer symptoms, hospitalizations, or deaths. Previously, pharmaceutical companies only had to show that their updated booster shots produced antibodies. That less rigorous standard will still apply for people 65 and older and the immunocompromised.
It is well established that people 65 and older account for the vast majority of Covid deaths, while most children, in particular, show few effects from the virus.
In an exclusive interview with The Free Press, Prasad said that the previous one-size-fits-all approach--in which the federal government recommended Covid vaccine boosters for everyone, including healthy 6-month-olds--"fatigued" the country.

"The American people were skeptical, and some of them took that skepticism to every single vaccine, which has led to some big problems," said Prasad, referring to the fact that a growing number of Americans have stopped having their children vaccinated for measles, mumps, and rubella, leading to measles outbreaks in pockets of the country. "This is a restoration of that trust. It's bringing us back to evidence."
The move is one part of what is expected to be further changes in federal Covid vaccine policy. According to The Wall Street Journal, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to scrap guidelines recommending routine Covid vaccinations for pregnant women, teenagers, and children. Late last month, in an interview with Phil McGraw (popularly known as Dr. Phil), Kennedy advised parents to "do your own research" before vaccinating their newborns. That skepticism is increasingly shared by the public: Less than a quarter of Americans received boosters in recent years, according to Makary and Prasad's paper. Even healthcare workers have been slow to roll up their sleeves--fewer than one third reported getting a booster in 2023.

When I put in my request to be exempted from the shot I made mention of the fact that I was aware that religious leaders said that it was okay and that I didn't care. I was traveling on business last Fall with a co-worker and his wife (who i also know) and we were talking about the Covid shots over dinner. I told them my Brother in law got the first two Pfizer shots, then got a booster, then got shingles for a year, then later got pancreatic cancer and died. His 38 year old son got his first Pfizer shot and 5 days later died of some kind of cardiac issue.
They flipped out because they had both had 7 shots and flipped out over this, and insisted it COULD NOT be the vaccine. Yeah, sure. I dropped it.
The shots are not good for anybody. The induced spiked protein mutates you IGg4 antibody, and begins to ruin your resistance to all kinds of diseases, and cancer, etc.

There's a clip of her passing an adult beverage from her mouth to another's at a party. The participants did not seem comfortable with that. She seems unstable and not a reliable witness. It's possible the are all like that but less disciplined.

318 Never got the shot, mainly because I was never that scared of COVID but Karl Denninger and Vox Day both did yeoman's work exposing how dangerous those shots were.

MrsUNIVAC was on the complete opposite end and got caught up in the hysteria. She tried every guilt and shaming trick in the book (protect me! protect our elderly parents! protect your son!) but I would not be moved, and I had to threaten her to keep SonOfUNIVAC from getting it.

Eventually my company tried to force a mandate because we had federal contracts, and I warned both my boss (who was also a hysteric) and his boss that I'd force the firm to fire me before I took it. I eventually got a religious exemption (I'm Catholic) using a form letter that the Confraternity of Our Lady of Fatima provided to any Catholic who wanted it. I made a few edits to reference the part of the EEOC website about personally held beliefs, anticipating "the Pope said you should get it" retort.

But that never happened and the company backed off.

319 Probably. My uncle died of the Wuhan Flu because the nursing home he was in did almost nothing to help him. He had alzheimer's and they were scared of the crud so they didn't do much to tend him.

Yeah I noticed that with the old folks homes. Scare the staff but give them no protection from transmission like a hospital has. The idea is to kill from neglect. Then they added in the actual sick thugs to this same places to spread the disease.

323 I'm over 65yrs but look much younger (I have to add this for my ego) and will still tell them to pound sand for the covid crap. I did take the J&J, after much research, do to traveling monthly by plane. I did not have a blood clot and die, altho the day after I got it the fear for it hit the news (I wrote people that I had x amount of days to live). It was not mRNA and I figured wth, done. No more. I will always remember that day of sticking our arms out the car windows. Then waiting 15min in the car. It was comforting (not) to see paramedics called for someone who fainted (or died, who knows?). My husband and I figured we'd croak together.

I have had le covid twice since then. Once was a bad cold from our toddler grandchild. The second was a bad headache and then positive test from a plane of germs and a vacation. I coughed a lot. I somehow survived both.

I take the flu shot yearly due to respiratory issues, got the pneumonia shot, took the Tdap for being a grandmother and a good grand parent before covid. No issues.

I coldly refuse the shingles and RSV and irritate MD's and people and don't care. I pick and choose my healthcare, thank you so much, now leave me the hell alone!

324 To add to my comment above...in urgent care here you are no longer tested for the chinese cold since last summer. BECAUSE IT IS A COLD.

I don't give a hoot what variation or flavor of the year it is now, as they name them in pig-Latin or whatever sort of scary name they pick. I have had much worse influenzas and this is why I do get the dam flu shot since we all wanted to die after that truck hit us decades ago.

Last year I was told to take Tylenol and Advil, high doses and alternate, for three days with my surprise vacation covid. I am sure the masked jackasses behind me on the plane gave it to us.

Freedom of choice. We see our in-laws getting boosters and whatever is offered as often as they can. We figure good, go for it, sistas! So far they are alive and have always been odd, so that is not from the vax.

I am sick of reading of covid. Sick equally of the vax pro people and the people taking Ivermectin as both seem fearful of what is now a cold.

I simply wait for nuke fall out from WWIII and don't worry about it.
