Dog's Eye View Cafe

moonlandingfaked.jpg
Proof the moon landing was faked -- note that
the shadow of the cat does not align with the sun's position

If you've got some sticks to move, you better believe your dog needs to be a part of that action.

Otter just chillin' in a mountain lake. Looks like a sea otter so I don't even know what's going on.

"Land spout" tornado I thought all tornadoes over land would be "land spouts" but it's a special type.

Hangry hangry hippo.

Big ol' gator.

Cute seal wants snuggles.

Adopted dog finds out that his family has also now adopted his sister.

Cant does great impersonation of Oscar the Grouch.

MimiSounds plays Comfortably Numb while ice-skating. In a boob shirt, of course.

Anteater family out for a stacked stroll.

Hawk doesn't know what to do with a wooden mallard.

Out of control.

Dog defends kitten.

Kitten establishes the power hierarchy quickly.

Cat takes down dog.

Border collie shows who's boss.

And the employee is up for a dozen federal felonies.

He basically has been in his own room, but I try to let him out because he hates being isolated. Then the other cats come in his room, and poop in his box, but it doesn't seem to matter if I clean it out, he still goes on the carpet. Sometimes.

I had him at the vet, they came up with their diagnosis and solution, and maybe he's getting better, but he eats very little, and still isolates.

He might be dying. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but it's hard to know with cats. I'm doing the best I can, short of spending tens of thousands of dollars on vet bills. When I have little faith in whatever they might come up with anyway.

I am sorry to hear that, sick cats that are starting to slide are terrible to deal with.

I keep two cat boxes next to each other, the cats tend to poop in one and pee in the other, but if they are not clean enough the sometimes will find a towel on the floor to pee on.

To try to keep the smell down I put pellet-stove pellets in the bottom, it sucks up the ammonia, to some extent.

I was looking for a YouTube video and came across one from 12 years ago of little Musya lure coursing:

https://youtu.be/SKPL1_3-pJ8

The poor thing came to us in 2020 in terrible condition, having gone through two bad owners.

With us, she got everything a Borzoi deserves: clean water, all the nourishing food she could eat, a bed, shelter, toys, treats and bones. She was nearly 14 years old when she passed away. She and I loved each other.

93 Justice Ho, on the 5th Circuit, points out the ACB has situational principles:

He notes that, in a religious liberty case from 2021 over Covid, ACB found 9 days too short to grant emergency relief without full briefing.
So she agreed with denying the injunction--for an actual, enumerated right in the Constitution being infringed.

But, just a few weeks ago, 42 minutes was more than enough to grant emergency relief to illegal aliens with zero briefing.

He also calls Roberts out for the cunt that he is:

Buoyancy.

Not joking, you'd just have to read some of this stuff. The earth is flat disc with a dome covering (the firmament -- they take Genesis and ancient Hebrew cosmology very literally). The sun and moon and stars are just little *bear* objects in that firmament.

The surface map they use is the azimuthul equidistant projection, which isn't too bad for the Northern hemisphere when done from the North Pole, but does great violence to the Southern.

Antarctica is a giant ice wall at the edge of the disc.

154 Orlok has numerous cats, for all of whom I have crafted tiny little Australian slouch hats. They look most jaunty. Please do not judge Orlok - Wallachia is not what one would call exciting, especially after several centuries, so one pursues various hobbies.

I am finally learning how to stream the films and television programs on my Vizio big screen. I found one movie called "Smokey and the Bandit," which was amusing. I think it was an allegory of the Third Crusade, with a Mr. Gleason in the role of Saladin and Burt Reynolds as Richard I. This Reynolds is quite funny, Orlok thinks, and when a recommendation appears for another of his films, "Deliverance," which clearly marked it as a sequel, I clicked on it. Orlok was...not amused. Alas, it cannot be unseen. It is like the first (and last) photo I saw of Kathy Griffin. Alas.

I don't like the SALT deduction either but I think the argument that the rest are paying more is not really true. If we've learned nothing else it's that there is some magic number of tax dollars we need to make to pay for a rational budget number. There's obviously not.

No matter how much we are taxed they just spend more. We didn't get to $37 trillion in debt because there are serious budget rules being followed.

We don't have a tax problem. We have a spending problem. We should be paying a lot less in federal taxes SALT or no SALT.

The hilarious thing is a lot of their arguments hinge on taking gravity for granted. In a cartoonish argument they say water always seeks a flat level surface because locally, where g is almost uniform the equipotential surfaces are very nearly flat planes, so it's impossible for the oceans to stick to a curved spherical surface. Why, in Australia it would be water hanging upside down.

Here's a short video showing the "level" surface water takes on in a rotating fish tank:

In the rotating frame, the centrifugal "force" term, gravity like, adds a term to the total potential. IIRC, the surface is a paraboloid. If the tank were a cylindrical, you'd see that smooth parabolic surface of rotation.
