Then the other cats come in his room, and poop in his box, but it doesn't seem to matter if I clean it out, he still goes on the carpet. Sometimes. I had him at the vet, they came up with their diagnosis and solution, and maybe he's getting better, but he eats very little, and still isolates. He might be dying. He doesn't seem to be in pain, but it's hard to know with cats. I'm doing the best I can, short of spending tens of thousands of dollars on vet bills. I keep two cat boxes next to each other, the cats tend to poop in one and pee in the other, but if they are not clean enough the sometimes will find a towel on the floor to pee on. To try to keep the smell down I put pellet-stove pellets in the bottom, it sucks up the ammonia, to some extent. I suppose, more butt grave, regular scooping, and a tarp down under it.
