Trump Blasts "Neocons," "Liberal Non-Profits" for Screwing Up the World

Eric Daugherty
@EricLDaugh

HOLY SMOKES: Trump takes a blow torch to the neocons and interventionists while speaking to the Saudis. This is a VICTORY speech over globalism.

"It's crucial for the wider world to know this great transformation has not come from Western interventionists, or flying people in beautiful planes giving you lectures on how to live and how to govern your own affairs."

"In the end, the so-called nation builders wrecked far more nations than they built and the interventionalists were intervening in complex societies that they did not even understand themselves."

"No, the gleaming marvels of Riyadh and Abu Dhabi were not created by the so-called 'nation builders,' neocons, or liberal non-profits like those who spent trillions and trillions of dollars failing to develop Baghdad, so many other cities."

"Instead, the birth of a modern Middle East has been brought by the people of the region themselves, the people that are right here, the people that have lived here all their lives, developing your own sovereign countries, pursuing your own unique visions and charting your own destinies in your own way."

"They told you how to do it, but they had no idea how to do it themselves. Peace, prosperity, and progress ultimately came not from a radical rejection of your heritage, but rather from embracing your national traditions and embracing that same heritage that you love so dearly."

"You achieved a modern miracle the Arabian way."

No wonder they respect him so much.

Video below.

I didn't bother covering the fake media nontroversy about Qatar giving Trump a personal gift of a 747 because it seemed so obviously fake.

PJ Media's Matt Margolis explains:
It's not a gift to Trump, it's being loaned to the US Department of Defense because Boeing is moving too slow in building a replacement Air Force One.

The Democrats have been desperate to find a scandal to pin on Trump, and their latest attempt may be the stupidest yet.

...

In the wake of media hysteria over the offer from Qatar to provide the United States with an aircraft, Buzz Patterson, a retired Air Force pilot, White House military aide, and carrier of the nuclear football, has stepped in to inject a dose of reality--and firsthand experience--into the conversation. While critics scramble to paint the move as some kind of scandal involving President Trump, Patterson makes clear this is nothing new or scandalous, and absolutely nothing that warrants the breathless outrage.

"I'm going to try one last time," Patterson began in a post on X. "The Qatar B-747 was built in the US by Boeing. They are offering a newer 747 to replace one of the two current AF-1s that have been flying for 40 years. Which are tired and need to be replaced."

That last point is key. The current Air Force One planes are aging relics that first entered service when Ronald Reagan was in the White House. Replacing them has been a long, slow, and--thanks to bureaucratic delays--frustrating process. Patterson, who served as a military aide during the Clinton administration and has flown on Air Force One over a hundred times, says the Qatar aircraft would simply help fill the gap until Boeing completes new replacements--something that won't happen for years.

"This AF-1 will serve the sitting president, whether they be Republican or Democrat until Boeing gets their s--t together to complete the new, upcoming improved 747s that started under Obama, was renegotiated under Trump, and was completely ignored by the Biden administration," he explained. "It's looking like 2029 to 2030 for delivery at the soonest."

Critics have tried to turn this into a personal gift to Trump, but that's not even remotely accurate. "Qatar is offering the jet to the US military, not Donald Trump," Patterson explained.

The current Air Force One planes (I think they trade off which is called "Air Force One" according to which is flying the president) were built under Reagan. That is too old for a plane, especially one flying the leader of the free world.

I know the Democrats and the media (but I repeat myself) would love if the president died in a plane crash they engineered, but the rest of us object to this scheme.

Bonus: The liberal media copes and seethes over the fall in inflation... after insisting that Trump would blow inflation up.

Obligatory link to "Cope-a-Cabana."

12 The two replacement B747-800s for the two aging VC-25s were actually sold to a Russian airline before that company folded.

Since then Boeing has been refitting the planes to become the new Air Force Ones. However instead of merely modifying these two airliners, Boeing has gone and completely rewired both planes. We are talking miles of wiring having to be pulled out of a built aircraft and then newer wiring installed.

IIRC current AF-1's are "hardened" against nuclear blast damage, so, yea, the wiring probably has to be replaced along with all the avionics anyway. Plus, they'll be installing a variety of comms gear, jammers, defensive systems, etc. that all need juice to work.

Issue gets tied in with some people's feelings about Ham Ass, Qatar, and Arabs in general. Several people are rubbed pretty raw over it.

But, Trump also occasionally uses shiny things like this to draw attention away from other things.

Trump prefers to work in a chaotic environment (similar to Patton in France actually) because it forces the enemies of his policies inside and outside the administration to react against those rather than being able to put together their usual messaging ops.

To change the status quo of Joe, you must destabilize the entire frigging system of the Uniparty and our constellation of interest group barnacles. This is disconcerting and alarming to many.

101 TAMPA, Fla. (CBS12) — In a bold move, Governor Ron DeSantis has announced that the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) will now lead a first-of-its-kind initiative to enforce immigration laws independently of the federal government.

Previously, when FHP troopers encountered an undocumented driver with a criminal record, they had two choices: call Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and wait, or let the driver go.

Now, with more than 100 FHP troopers sworn in as special deputy U.S. marshals, the agency has the authority to handle immigration cases on the spot, from apprehension to processing for deportation, without federal backup.

DeSantis, standing alongside FHP officers and federal agents Monday in Tampa, hailed the program as a national first.

158 141 Bush The Living's stupid idea of "nation building" came about because his dirty daddy Bush The Deader did not end the first gulf "war" as it should have ended.

I still blame President Reagan for picking Bush The Deader for his Veep. The whole Bush Clan should be arrested and every male castrated to prevent further reproduction.

164 The Guardian: Leftwing pundit Hasan Piker says US border agents stopped and questioned him on Trump and Gaza...said he was led to a private room at Chicago O’Hare airport and interviewed for nearly two hours about his political views.

“The goal here is to put fear into people’s hearts, to have a chilling effect on speech that, like, the government is unafraid of intimidating you,” Piker said. “Does this stop me from saying whatever the fuck I want to say? Of course not. Don’t be ridiculous. But the reason why I wanted to talk about it was to give you more insight into what the government is doing, and to speak out against this sort of stuff.”

He was born in the US and has US citizenship but they don't like his liberal political views. He's well prepared for questioning but an average American might slip under pressure and have consequences.

So "progressive" is left wing now? To my mind it's barely centrist. What a country.

No, no, no, no, No! They want us to be afraid. This is certainly a civil rights violation.

The thought police have been active for a while. I'm glad that people are making their experiences public.

Posted by: 18-1

Afghanistan is one place where possibly it could have been done, but that would have caused corollary effects in places like Iraq etc. Remember all the hoo haw about bombing wedding parties and such that happened to be driving their technicals to nuptials?

Basically, you have to be willing to wage total war but with Muslims, you risk terror attacks across the world. It is perfectly fine for them to slaughter each other but verboten for Christians to fight back.

To end the threat for a generation, that basically takes killing about 30-50 percent of military males in a generation and destruction of the economy so vast that no ports, airports, or even bridges exist in the country as well as no electrical plants etc .

That is why Israel is stuck playing whack a mole, it can't do what needs to be done without losing any moral standing in the rest of the world.

Best caliber for wolf control is a good quality .22 round. I would recommend CCI Stinger HP. If you oopsie shoot a wolf you don't want it to die immediately. You want it to wander off and die. The majority of wolves in Washington 2 years old and older are collared. The new collars not only have GPS tracking, they also have a video camera. I was given this advice by an acquaintance who has contracted with multiple states in wolf management. He is ardent anti-wolf but he keeps that very close to the vest.

That's what I'm gathering. Just because it's donated to the library doesn't mean it can't fly.

My take away is that Qatar donates/lends a $400M 747-800 to the DOD, DOD spends a lot of money getting the plane up to AF1 level snuff. All this upgrade work is finished just as Trump leaves office and then the DOD/US GOVT/Qatar donates it to the Trump library.

And this will in no way affect Trump's policy decisions as it pertains to Qatar.

Do I have this right?

271 TAMPA, Fla.

316 > How's this for the real scandal?

Biden nearly blew AF1 up when he red-lined it from Vegas to DC for his medical emergency when he almost died.
----------
There was an interview with a ground worker at the airport who described the chaos when the limos came screeching into the area where AF-1 was parked. Said the engines were already running and as soon as the occupants were aboard, it was off... full throttle. The airport was basically shutdown for the time it took them to get clear... like 15 minutes IIRC.

Amazing shit. I'm conflicted on whether it would have been better if *biden had croaked on the tarmac.

AF-1 isn't a particular plane, it's the plane the President is on. Similar any whirlybird with the President on it is Marine-1. The above would solve the riddle. As would a President's death mid-flight, or maybe a President going parachuting for fun.....

Look at the guys credibly accused of steroid use. Sosa, Clemens, Bonds, McGwire and Palmiero weren't elected by the BBWAA in their 10 years on the ballot. A-Rod is in his 4th year of eligibility and is becalmed in the 30% range. And these guys weren't even banned.

Honestly, I think Boeing should it for free.
I guarantee you if they were giving it to the government instead of being paid for it, they'd have finished those planes in two or three years.

It's not like Boeing doesn't get planeloads of cash from the Fed.gov every year as it is.

Throw the American people a bone and do their president's plane for free or at least at cost.

I think they could just write it off, Jerry.
